"This way?"

Rose's voice was gentle to the creature in her arms, the little Chao making an afirmative noise. Poor little guy had looked so lost, spinning himself in circles and seemingly getting more dizzy by the second. Of course, Rose couldn't just leave the poor thing like that. So naturally, she offered her help.

She'd hung around the Chao plenty before, and most, if not all seemed pretty trusting of her. Athough, this one had a bit of a snappy attitude that matched its sharp features, a quickly offered snack soothed that attitude right away.

As she walked, the little guy would occasionally fly a few feet in front of her, searching determinedly. If he ever got too far, she's be sure to call him back, "Don't wanna lose you too buddy!"

After perhaps an hour or so, The little electric green Chao had started to doze off. But it had managed to catch a glimpse of something- someone, and was wide awake. It started whining and wiggling loduly, pulling itself in the direction of a particular figure. "Okay okay, I'm going, calm down!"

Following the direction it was practically yaking itself towards, the bunny finally caught sight of what the little guy was freaking out about. It didn't take long for the connection between the two to click, and she apprached the green spiked figure. "Excuse me? I think this little one knows you!"

The emotions going through him right now were so damn conflicting. Toby had known since his mother’s death that his brother was slowly turning into a horrible person, someone whose beliefs definitely did not line up with his own. His brother’s actions had always been a burden on him, but at the end of the day, he was still his flesh and blood, and now Tucker was gone. Wiped off the face of the Earth, just like that. He felt sad, angry, secretly a little relieved, but he also just felt... numb. “Tell me your morning’s going a little better than mine is,” Toby said, a sad smile on his lips as he turned towards the person who just arrived.

"You've been expressing yourself a lot lately..." came the sudden remark, slicing through the silence like a (hot, searing hot. hot, hot, hot!) knife to butter. "Not that I'm necessarily against it, it's good for my research--" casually spoken, betraying the likes of his arms stiff at his sides with fingers poised as if situated at a keyboard, "--but it does make me curious... Why? What's gotten into you all of a sudden?"

The colour of washed out blood on white clothes was a disgusting, desaturated brown. Which was a shame, given that was the man's preference. He was stuck doing laundry the night before, sitting around in a white tank top and rubber duckie boxers. It made the fancy clothes he usually wore feel out of place on him, but an image was meant to be kept up and he kind of liked when he got to dress up!

Today, he took the beat up family car and parked it, rifle in the trunk, by an old greenhouse. His clothes were neither overly dressy or disgusting, a vest on top of a dress shirt. And he felt at peace, relatively! Sometimes deer would come by to eat at the plants someone or some people still bothered to tend to, and that was pretty nice! The animals made him feel something in his heart that he thought had gone cold after countless disappointments with people. They were just so cute after all!

He could see the signs of a nearby fancy pancy wedding and, because he stuck around so long, he heard the endings of some music someone had played for the ceremony. The man crouched down on the ground, deer-watching while he allowed his mind to go blank, perfect whiteness in his brain, 'unassuming' smile on Samael's face.

hands are clasped around a vhs copy of ' the outsiders ' and a firm smile is planted on bianca's face . she'd finally been brave enough to go into that oddly scary - feeling store without anyone else there . she likes hearing people speak . mainly , because it means they're speaking to her , and she doesn't have to fill up the gaps in conversation with noise , and therefore she's not ' trying too hard ' , as her father would have said .

It was so rare that anyone tried to get appointments with her recently at the museum. Let alone be rude and just demand one day-of.

But sometimes rudeness made the day go by faster while she was here.

Susan opened the door to her little office, arms on either side of the doorframe.

“Hi.” Oh, those vibes were— not. human. And familiar. Always a great sign. “Hello. You’re lucky, I had some free time in my schedule today. Anyways. Welcome in. What exactly can I help you with?”

Of course it would happen this close to the damn good for nothing he was chasing tonight. Not like Will was particularly invested in this specific individual’s death. It was that he was invested in the coin he would receive in return for sealing the deal. And that wasn’t gonna happen if he didn’t find the right goddamn street. Fuck if he didn’t need to take the edge off.

“Hey you,” he noticed the woman skulking about in the shadows. Gonna ask her for directions? Fuck no.
