like idk ?? i spent a long time as a romance repulsed aromantic (and i still sort of am ??? romance repulsed ??? but only b/c other ppls pda grosses me out) (and im probably still aro spectrum but my orientation outside of my relationship is vague and doesnt matter to me at all) 

and the last relationship i had, i had feelings that didnt feel romantic. i didnt really love him romantically. i loved him but i was not in love with him. it was strong and i def think that if circumstances had been different that i could spend the rest of my life with him 

but now !! i am in love !! and it is so romantic and i never thought i could feel this way for someone !!! but i am !!! all the time !!! 

and i figure that ?? Aphrodite had something to do with that. She put that flutter in my heart as much as my partner does.

They were $2 each at my walmart in the Christmas section, with the nativity stuff !

Finally made a little travel altar out of an altoids tin and I love it. Will I ever use it ? Who knows. Probably. I’ll post pics tomorrow after I’m fully Done with it, I’m gonna set it aside for tonight and come at it tomorrow with fresh eyes and see if there’s anything that needs something More

Got this tarot deck at a used bookstore for $15 and I feel so blessed

did a reading, pulled a couple cards emphasizing individuality, looking for hidden value, perseverance.

i feel like im like missing something ? so i ask (with a coin flip) if i should pull another card and i get yes

and the card i pull is like 'be willing to stand out, don't take things at face value' which is just. a rephrasing of the original two cards.

my mom said she was going to get me flowers for my birthday (my birthday was march 30 but the stores weren't open and it was def not warm enough for planting) and we would go sometime this month and she called me yesterday and between her schedule and the weather, the only good day this week is thursday

which is also the serapia.

Serapis is warm like the sun, especially in the spring and summer. Just thinking of him feels like stepping outside on the first warm day of the year.

I was shuffling my tarot deck, thinking of asking serapis for some advice or guidance or whatever, and the sun flings out ☺️

Idk if that was part of his advice or just him saying “hello I am here” bc that is Thee card I associate with him. Either way I’m so ☺️

I didn’t really do anything with it worship-ways, demeter and persephone haven’t ever been a big part of my practice but like

The way that story hit me when I moved from Michigan to Georgia like a month after getting married. This was the first time I moved out of my mom’s house.

And like without even worshiping them, I hold persephone’s reunion with demeter so close to my heart. I understand it on a different level than I ever could have before. And considering how my mom felt adds another level of understanding to demeter’s grief.

And I think ancient ppl would have had all kinds of reactions to that story. But like there were definitely daughters getting married and hoping for a reunion like persephone. And I’m sure plenty of moms wished they could wage a famine until they got their daughters back.
