4, 5, and 10 for the character ask! ♥️ this is @bysithis btw. ty for following!
Do you consider them canonically dragonborn? If so, how are they faring at their prophetic duties? If not, what made you decide to do away with that part of the vanilla story?
No, Aelith has never been dragonborn, I always wanted her to be someone who could help the dragonborn, but I wanted her to also be free to have her own story beyond the dragonborn, a ruin delver who becomes an intefral part of Skyrim without the pressure of saving the world.
What were they doing before their adventure officially began?
She was a ruin delver in High Rock, leading parties of explorers through dwemer ruins and doing her best to keep them alive, not always succeeding when they wouldn't listen to her.
What hold do they dislike the most?
Hjaalmarch. She hates the swamps and the bugs that come with it. She's like an all you can eat buffet for the mosquitos there, plus there are too many opportunities for her to trip and fall into the cold water there. She's not the most graceful of mages.

i am asking you about alma 👀 whomst are they
bless you for asking
Alma is Shivering Soldier's wife; they have two sons and a daughter together. She's a classically trained singer with an ever-growing record collection. Her favorite hobby is gardening; she's started an herb garden and hopes to later start a little vegetable garden. She is bisexual, although she's only out to a few people (given the time period, coming out isn't exactly an option), and her feelings about homosexuality are progressive for the time.
She is very loving and affectionate and has a way of making people around her feel at ease, but she sets impossibly high standards on herself and almost always feels like she has to be perfect. Among the reasons she's married to Daniel (my name headcanon for Shivering Soldier) is that she feels like she can truly be herself around him.
She is prone to anxiety and worrying and can sometimes be a bit irritable when her anxiety is worse than usual. And her concern for her loved ones' well-being sometimes goes a bit too far. If a loved one is upset about doesn't want to talk about what's upsetting them, she sometimes pushes them to talk about it anyway even though she knows they don't want to talk about it.
She just has a lot of love in her heart and I love her so much

[cracks knuckles] barclay & gary. go forth and blorbo
THANK YOU DARLING !! 💝✨💖💞💝✨
Tumblr media
Sadly, Reg did not achieve Blorbingo, however he is still my Special Man.
I said eats out of the garbage because I can imagine that if the only dining area available was full of people who intimidated him, Reg would in fact eat out of a trashcan. I labelled him cryptid cuz I like the idea of pre-Hollow Pursuits crew seeing Reg as a cryptid. I mean, he literally hid between those storage bins and stared at Geordi...cryptid behavior.
I did not assign him perpetually lost because he finds confidence by the Voyager-era and I love it very much for him 😌
ps he gets chihuahua energy because of his appearance in TNG: First Contact and a muse sent by the gods because of the episode where super-powerful aliens give Barclay brilliant acting skills.
Tumblr media
DOUBLE BLORBINGO FOR KING GARY!!!!
Gary gets started out as a joke character but oh god, oh fuck because he was purposefully written to be like "haha funny guy" then "oh god oh man oh FUCK." Also cryptid because of Gary hiding outside of Peter's house + accidental father figure because I interpret Gary & the blank musketeers as a human father and his five robot sons.
He gets actually The Favorite (shhh) because I love him most out of The World's End group...also just. I love him so much. However he gets beloved (derogatory) because I genuinely morally oppose so many of his choices. but also he gets bastard (affectionate) because. Look at him. He's just a funny little dog. Who let this goth puppy loose on the suburb

mike and nacho for the bingo? 👀
Tumblr media
BCS really warmed me up to Mike, esp the first four seasons! The on-going corruption arc was so fascinating to me and really put BrBa!Mike in a different light in my eyes. Other than that, I don't have the third eye open for 24/7 Mike time but there's fans of his who have phrased their thoughts so much better than I ever could.
Tumblr media
NACHO, MY LOVE! He's pretty much my second favourite character in the entire ABQverse behind Gus, although I do wish he remained in the spotlight after the first half of S4. He's such a unique character in this world and incredibly dear to me.

6, 8, and 18 for the end of year asks!
Thanks so much for the ask 😁🖤
6. Episode of tv or webisode that defined the year for you?
Didn't really watch a lot of new shows this year, so I wouldn't say I have an episode that defined the year.
8. Game of the year?
Not really much of a gamer. I barely play mobile games.
9. A memorable meal this year?
I had these amazing gratinated potatoes at a hotel this summer. They were delicious. I still think about them regularly.

Silver Q - (finally!) A one shot from "Hello, My Dear"
Tumblr media
“You’re about two hundred years too early to be wearing that outfit,” he drawls, referring to your mid-24thcentury uniform. He lifts an eyebrow. “Or a billion years too late depending on which side of the timeline you’re from. Who are you?”
“Just me,” you answer simply, raising one shoulder in a shrug.
He scrutinizes you a second time, growing irritated. You are not a Q, or one of those insufferable, insouciant Travelers. Aside from the El Aurian, you’re as pathetically human as everyone else on this odious planet. Yet somehow you are less-than-human, and more…more. There is an undefinable quality about you that suggests you have been alive far longer than you appear. But stranger still is your undeniably affectionate smile. No one ever looks at him affectionately. And now that it’s happening, he is not entirely sure if he likes it. It means that you know his secrets and where all the skeletons are buried and may have even helped him dispose of one or two.
You’ve picked up his newspaper and started skimming the headlines, and blink in surprise when he plucks it out of your hands.
“Answer me,” he barks. “Who. Are. You?”
You musingly tilt your head, mulling over the question. “How did you put it? An adorably harmless angel of death?”
His face twists. He cannot afford the luxury of squandering his powers on putting a maybe-mortal upstart in her place, but pride gets the better of him. Teeth clenched, he snaps his fingers (successfully, this time) and whisks you both to a more secluded area.
Silver Q - A Hello, My Dear One-shot
Hello, My Dear - Stories of the life and times of Q and his mortal more-than-just-a-friend, Ensign Reader. Because being omnipotent doesn’t mean a thing when it comes to relationships.

five of bat’leths reversed:
It seems like you might be avoiding something, maybe conflict. Or you might think it’s not a fight worth having. But ignoring it won’t improve the situation, so I think it might be important to make a decision on whether you want to move forward with something or just move on.

fandom: lotr! character: data <3
thank you Zara <3
LOTR
Favorite character: Frodo Baggins, the only character ever <3
Least Favorite character: I don't like Sauron, I'm sorry. Even after reading the Silmarillion I still hate him
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): (I'm including platonic ships as well because I don't have very many romantic ships) Frodo x Sam; Éowyn x Faramir; Frodo & Gandalf; Merry & Pippin; Gimli & Legolas (I ship them platonically but I 100% understand why people ship them romantically)
Character I find most attractive: Frodo is the most attractive male character, and Arwen is the most attractive female character
Character I would marry: also Frodo
Character I would be best friends with: Merry. I think we would get along very well.
a random thought: Lately I've been thinking about the Entwives having been gone for so long that Treebeard can no longer remember what they look like, and that breaks my heart
An unpopular opinion: I think Aragorn as a character is kind of boring. He's too perfect at too many things, and that makes it hard for me to get fully invested in him.
My Canon OTP: Éowyn and Faramir
My Non-canon OTP: Frodo and Sam
Most Badass Character: Honestly? I'm thinking Théoden. He's a great warrior and a skilled leader on the battlefield, and he gives incredible pre-battle speeches. And it's especially impressive given what he's suffered.
Most Epic Villain: I hate to say it, but the Witch-King
Pairing I am not a fan of: I've been unwillingly subjected to Frodo x Sauron content, and I want to personally fight everyone who ships them.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I don't like that the movies reduce Gimli to comic relief
Favourite Friendship: My favorite friendship in the books is Frodo and Merry, and I have a soft spot for Frodo and Gandalf's friendship
Character I most identify with: Frodo. I've always identified with him, but having gone through my own traumatic experiences I find myself identifying with him more than ever.
Character I wish I could be: I wish I could be Sam, and I hope I have at least some things in common with him
Data (disclaimer: I haven't watched an episode of TNG in forever and know very little about canon events and relationships)
How I feel about this character: he is so autistic and I would protect him with my life
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Geordi
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Maybe Troi? I don't know what their relationship is like in canon, but I like the contrast between Troi's hyperempathy and Data's seeming inability to feel any emotions at all
My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't know if I have one
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish he'd been treated better. There are definitely parallels between the way the crew treats him and the way that neurotypical people treat autistic people.
Favorite friendship for this character: Also Geordi. I feel like Geordi is the only one who really understands him.
My crossover ship: I don't have one

okay. weirdly specific question. but! do you have any recs for fiction that uses christian imagery in an effective way? i'm chomping at the bit for a new book and can't find anything that scratches that itch.
hmm honestly i haven't been reading a lot of fiction lately. i would recommend the time quintet by madeleine l'engle for fiction with christian themes if you don't mind that it's young adult oriented (arguably). iscariot by tosca lee is also fun, i won't say it's incredible or life changing but it's interesting, she also wrote a book where a fallen angel harasses a guy into writing a memoir of history from their perspective and another one from the perspective of eve. tbh i am simply not the best person to ask due to how sharply my reading rate has declined from when i was younger so i'm going to put this up in case anyone else has suggestions!

HELLO! we've never spoken before but skyrim is my number one hyperfixation rn and you are fuelling the fire (tyvm). i will never pass up the opportunity to infodump about skyrim SO re: the post you reblogged asking people to tell you about their skyrim ocs to see if they'd get on well w yr own - mine is named madlen sun-voice!
she grew up on the road, her mother teaching her what she could about hunting and surviving in the wild. from her father she gained an aptitude for music. when her parents both unfortunately died, she made her living as a travelling bard, still in her teens at the time. she was barely able to scrape a living, but she was able at least to catch food for herself and find berries good for eating. eventually, she wandered into riften, where a certain silver-tongued thief talked her into a job for a little coin. desperate, madlen agreed.
one job became two, became three, became four, and before she knew it she found herself a member of the thieves guild. her special talents include: grappling with her morality; being a charming, snarky mfer; self-esteem issues; and being a stealth archer.
that's my sales pitch :^) ty for reading!
yes!!!!!! stealth archers are immaculate and can do nothing wrong. they are the superior playstyle in my humble opinion. also, so cool to see someone else deeply into skyrim and star trek!!!!
i only have one (1) skyrim oc who is, of course, also a member of the thieves guild. saryn didn’t intend to dedicate herself entirely to the guild but it just kinda happened to her too. she’s stealthy but uses daggers, so they could be a killer tag team of melee and long range damage.
they could be wonderful little thieves together. someday years in the future they’d look back and realize neither of them fully intended to spend so long in the thieves guild, it just sorta happened lol. they’d probably get along great, whether they were committing crimes or contemplating the morality of their actions.
madlen sounds awesome!!
