We all know that Lewis Nixon's grandmother had a villa on the Mediterranean coast in southern France, which was once rented to the Kennedy family.
In 2005, Sotheby's auctioned off some many of the art and furniture from this villa, and the auctioned items were even compiled into a catalog. I just found several pages from the auction book...
I mean, look at these exquisite pieces of furniture, imagining a 6-year-old Lew rolling on those magnificent carpets, or trying to toss crumpled paper into that marble lamp...
Seriously, who could buy this book (the seller is in Europe) please, curious to see if there are items closely related to Lew inside the book?

This charming village is undoubtedly my favourite destination in the south of France. It's a true haven for art lovers and introverts (it’s so quiet despite being kinda packed), having been home to many renowned artists such as Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, Henri Matisse, and Yves Montand. This place sells itself.
A fan of medieval architecture? This village is steeped in it; wherever you go you'll find that ornate, charming feel.
I’m especially appreciative of the eccentricity which lies in the little things; the rustic knick-knacks would make exceptional decorations for homes.

Hi Sunflowerkru ! It's Tuesday, in the middle of August 😉!
What a week, what a week... for a few days now, we just had some bad news : my son who is trying (!) to study in Southern France must find a new flat, and last year it was such a nightmare to find one that we're a little desperate... So we're gonna stay a bit more here, to organize everything... I'm trying to tell myself that it's just a new adventure, but damn sometimes my children are just exhausting...
Just a few pics of this wonderful place where i had some great moments these last days, with the village of Châteauneuf du Pape (and a pic of me😉) :

Of all the things that I thought might happen for the rest of this year, there was one thing I definitely didn't expect: travelling.
Roughly ten days ago my father told me he needed a break from all the 'grief' stuff and he suggested packing the caravan and heading south. I have never planned a vacation this suddenly.
Today, I find myself in southern France and I still can't really believe I am in such a beautiful place and we even had a few good moments over the day. Of course we took most of our grief with us and it is difficult, but it is amazing here and I love it.

Ancient Roman necropolis, Alyscamps. There are no more bodies in those tombs. It was Roman custom to bury the dead along the roads outside of the city. The Roman sarcophagi were systematically looted during the Renaissance.

Provençal Pork Chops
Whether your grill them on the barbie or on a griddle pan, these fragrant and juicy Provençal Pork Chops bring a taste of Summer holiday to your lunch! Happy Sunday!
Ingredients (serves 3):
1/4 teaspoon fleur de sel or sea salt flakes
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 heaped teaspoon Herbes de Provence
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground chilli
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 pork chops
In a large, shallow dish, combine fleur de sel, black pepper, Herbes de Provence, paprika and ground chilli. Drizzle in olive oil and give a good stir until well-combined.
Add pork chops to the dish, rubbing them thoroughly in the oil and spices.
Place in the refrigerator to marinate, at least a couple of hours to overnight.
Grill marinated pork chops, on a hot griddle pan or on the barbecue, until well-browned and cooked through.
Serve Provençal Pork Chops hot, with Aïoli and Poêlée Provençale.
