#sorry for like. analyzing my sibling’s behavior in the tags. my bad
Text
biggest pet peeve is when i show someone my art and they decide to give their own input like “oh if i were you i would change this” and “i think you should’ve done this or that” like. who asked? i’m showing it to you because i’m proud of it idc if you think it’s trash because i “should’ve put more detail into the this aspect so that blah blah blah” don’t care + didn’t ask
#just something that aggregates me#esp bc this person (older sibling) seems to believe that they have more authority over it bc they’re older#like. dude. i know you *used to* draw but i literally have more experience since you dropped it years ago#plus they have a bit of a complex where they think that ‘more realistic’ = better#like. that’s not how the world works i can draw cartoons as much as i wish and i’ll still have skill#just bc some of my art doesn’t looks as realistic as you’d like doesn’t mean that it’s bad#like some of my more cartoon-ish work will have hours of work composing and formatting the style#esp when i’m feeling meticulous about line work#going off a bit on this person ig. they’re not that bad. the whole ‘realistic = better’ thing is v low key but i can tell#it stems from growing up together and both of us drawing#so there was always a bit of competition to be better and the difference is that i always get what i want and will work for it#like drawing in all of my free time. obsessively really. you do not want to know how many old sketchbooks i have#and they don’t put effort into things like i do. even though they think they’re a bit superior they drew less than half the time i did#though if we’re being honest i think it’s an extension of their inferiority complex which stems from the fact that i’m younger#but was always better at things than them (school mostly. like. started college at 15/16ish and skipped sooo many grades)#and bc of that i was more praised/more highly regarded (when i wasn’t acting batshit and being a menace)#though tbh they’re probably a more stable person than me u don’t have to choose artistic realism to be better#only one of us will be able to survive in the real world and it isn’t me lol#sorry for like. analyzing my sibling’s behavior in the tags. my bad#but tbh i could write essays dissecting their behavior. they’re easy to read to me. everything about them is easy to figure out

Why I Love Sansa Stark
Tumblr media
(Just so everyone knows, none of these gifs are mine. I got them on tumblr. And I’m sorry if my post is a bit of a mess. I’m tired but I tried my best.)
Time for some Sansa Stark positivity and appreciation!
But first, a confession: I didn’t really like Sansa the first time I watched the show. I usually blame it on the fact that I binged the show in one week when I was sick with the flu and therefore I didn’t know what was going on, but that’s not the full reason why.
I think the real reason why might be that, because at first, I wasn’t willing to understand her character. But as I watched the show a second and third time and started reading the books, I found myself loving her more and more. I made the effort to analyze and understand her character. Once I did that, I loved what I saw.
Now, most of these points pertain to show Sansa, but some of these example also pertain to book Sansa, so I’ll be tagging the books as well. I’d include more example from the books, but I’m only on the second one right now.
So on to why I love Sansa:
-She’d incredibly relatable to me. I can identify with her. She grew up believing in and loving fairy tales. The knight will always rescue the princess, right will prevail over evil, and those who are kind will live happily ever after. She likes pretty dresses and sewing and all things feminine. But with the death of her father, she was forced to realize that life is not like how it’s portrayed in her stories. I can sympathize with her because I believe that many of us believed in, at one point or another in our lives, some of the same things she did before being forced to confront the truth. Does that mean that we were/are stupid? No, it means we were idealistic and naive, like Sansa.
Tumblr media
-Going back to Sansa liking feminine things. I do like how Arya and Sansa are portrayed as extremely different from each other, but both being strong in their own ways. Aya prefers to wear pants and fight with Needle, and Sansa prefers dresses and sewing. They’re both strong and talented, and those talents and strengths come in handy in different situations. In season 6, for example, Sansa sewed Jon a cloak. She used her talents to show Jon how much she cared for him and helped keep him warm. She’s not useless even though she can’t swing a sword. She contributes in different ways and she’s strong even though she doesn’t physically fight battles.
Tumblr media
-Sansa learns. She learns from the people around her how to play the game and what a good ruler does and doesn’t do. Remember when the people of King’s Landing were starving and no one seemed to care? I believe that Sansa observed that, learned from it, and that influenced her behavior in season 7 when she started storing food for the winter for her people.
Sansa learned how to play the game from Littlefinger and Cersei. But unlike them, she didn’t use her knowledge to scheme or to try to gain power. She used it to try and keep her family and people safe once she got back to Winterfell. She learned how Cersei manipulates people and what she’s capable of, and tried to convince Jon that Cersei was dangerous. She used what she knew to trick and eventually take down Littlefinger. She learned how to be a good ruler by observing what a bad one looks like.
Tumblr media
-She’s still a good person. She went through sooooo much evil in a few short years, and she remained strong. This lovely post by @thefandomremembers shows how Sansa still initiated physical contact and loved her family, even after everything that happened. It would’ve been so easy for her give in to it all and give up, but she didn’t. She remained strong, overcame her hardships, and is one of my heroes because of it.
Tumblr media
-She cares about her family. She cares about Jon, pushing him to do the right thing, and reassuring him that he was a good person/ruler when he needed it (”You’re as far from Joffery as anyone I’ve ever met”). She welcomed Arya and Bran back, and was very accepting of the people they had become, the good and the bad parts.
In the books, she thinks about her family lovingly. She doesn’t think about Arya or Jon with hate, its the opposite actually. She loves them all. She realizes that she didn’t always treat them the best (I’m NOT saying she was a huge bully, I think most of her behavior towards them is not uncommon from most strained child sibling relationships), and she strives to change it in the show, apologizing and supporting them.
Tumblr media
-She offered Bran the title of Lord of Winterfell in the show, trying to do what was right by Westerosi standards. To me, that speaks volumes. She could’ve seized power from Jon or Bran at any point, but didn’t, which shows that she deserves the power that she has (or more). It shows that she loves her family and is willing/doing the right thing.
Tumblr media
-She helped bring about the deaths of the show’s major villains. All of my points so far have been more serious and better thought out, but this one is just pointing out much of a badass she is. Because of what she said or did, Joffery, Ramsay, and Littlefinger are dead. Go Sansa!
Tumblr media
No, Sansa was not, is not, and will never be perfect. But she’s human. She makes mistakes and learns from them. She tries to be a good person, even in a world filled with so much pain and evil. She loves her family and supports them. She’s a good, intelligent ruler.
Sansa Stark is a strong, intelligent woman and my hero.
Thank you @effleuresense for encouraging me to write this! And thanks to everyone else who read this whole thing! It’s waaaaaay longer than I thought it would be.

Get to know me tag
Tagged by the lovely @ziamflowers thanks so much for the tag babe! :)
How tall are you? 5′0″
What color are your eyes? brown
Do you wear contacts and/or glasses? glasses (no contacts cause I'm very averse to things going in or anywhere near my eyes/eyeballs)
Do you wear braces? used to. thank god that's over. (*war flashbacks to high school*)
What is your fashion style? ideally if I had the money I would love to go full 80′s cause I just love that style and always have but alas I am poor so it's mostly just a mix of things that kind of emulate that style--like leggings or washed out jeans with oversized shirts/sweaters--with some contemporary stuff thrown in here and there (and when I'm feeling real lazy which is a big percentage of the time basically just jeans and a comfy t-shirt lol)
When were you born? ′93
How old are you? 24
Do you have any siblings? two brothers, two sisters
What school/college do you go to? used to go to umbc (university of maryland, baltimore county - it’s a mouthful but nobody ever knows what it is unless they’re from the md/baltimore area cause it’s not super well known so i usually end up just saying the whole thing all out loud which is annoying af) but i graduated almost three years ago now
What kind of student are you? was always a pretty good student tbh but just quiet (i.e. almost never wanted to raise my hand/speak in class unless I was fairly sure I had the right answer cause I was so scared of being wrong and the social embarrassment)
What are your favorite subjects? english and history all dayyyyy (and art when I had it but at the schools i went to it was usually only offered as an elective that wasn't available all the time)
What are your favorite movies? indecisive af and can’t choose a favorite anything so not answering this but at least a couple of them, if not more, would probably be something marvel
What are your favorite pastimes? reading and writing, watching shows and movies, hanging out on this godforsaken site
Do you have any regrets? my entire life lol jk but there’s honestly too many to list...not speaking up as much as I should/should have, giving up on things too quickly/easily, obsessing and overanalyzing every little thing people say or do to me/for me, talking too much, not talking enough, saying or doing something stupid, etc. etc. i have a lot of issues okay
What’s your dream job? anything that involves allowing me to work from home and make my own hours, preferably involving writing/editing and/or reading >>> also this will pretty much probs always be my answer to this question
Would you like to get married? yeah someday...sigh...but i’d need a relationship first and who knows if that’ll ever happen lol
Do you want kids? How many? yup. ideally 2 (maybe 3 max), i’ve always wanted twins (either two girls, or a girl and a boy though just my luck i’ll get two boys and have my hands full lmao) so putting that out there in the universe for good vibes
How many countries have you visited? u.s. of a (where i live), cuba, mexico, and the u.k.
What is your scariest dream? idk I don't remember most of my dreams but I also hardly ever have nightmares so my scariest one that i can think of atm is not that bad tbh but it had something to do with these funny looking giant toy robots, some were good and trying to help us stay safe and some were bad and were trying to destroy/burn our house and my mom was trapped upstairs where they were starting the fire so i was mostly scared for her cause I was worried she wouldn't be able to get out but she did (the good robots helped her) and it was all fine, rip our house tho lol
Do you have a significant other? lol see above
Put your playlist on shuffle and without skipping put the first 15 songs
(was gonna do this on itunes like i usually do but decided to do it on spotify instead since that would be more accurate as far as the songs i’ve listened to in the last few years since i barely even use itunes anymore lol but anyway here we go):
reflections - misterwives (i don’t even know this song or remember adding it lmao i be adding random songs and then just never listen to them again so there’s probs a few more like that on this list but oh well; i do kinda like the misterwives though they’re cool)
don’t go - kevin ross (such a good song!!!)
worst behavior - drake
we own the night - the wanted
deeper - ella eyre
words - daya
lonesome loser - little river band (idk this one either lol i musta been on a weird country/folk music kick or something idk? like what is this band name lol?)
paper hearts - tori kelly
watch me - stella (who even is this lmao - update: woops just remembered this is carlos santana’s daughter who i found out a few months back does neo-soul/r&b and i went and listened to her album and saved all the songs and then promptly forgot all about it lol smh)
reflection - fifth harmony

magnets - disclosure, lorde
heatstroke - calvin harris, young thug, pharrell williams, ariana grande (this is such a bop!!!!! i can’t believe i forgot all about this song!)
