Ok, can we just talk about this? I saw this image on Twitter and for some reason I feel really emotional about it. Well, it IS an emotional image. It’s Kuroko passing on the torch to Robo as in Kuroko no Basuke has done it’s job and is now over, handing over everything to the new golf series.

This is probably going to be just a rant but I need to dump these thoughts somewhere, and where better than Tumblr? ;) Where to start... So the Kurobas LAST GAME movie has earner over 1 BILLION YEN IN CINEMAS ONLY!!! Like, hello!? Production I.G isn’t this like a gold mine? People obviously want to see more so WHY ARE YOU NOT GIVING US MORE? The figure alone says something AND that is just the 1st wave! Just you wait until the DVDs and Blu-rays come out! With the combination of 1 billion yen + the DVDs, I don’t know what more evidence the studio needs. Kurobas ended when it was on top of it’s game. I think that’s insane!

(BTW GUYS, Please try to buy the DVD or Blu-ray instead of downloading the movie from HorribleSubs and other websites. The anime industry survives from the income of their DVDs and so if they sell, the companies will see that PEOPLE WANT that anime. Plz Plz if you’re a Kurobas fan, support the creators. I’ve already pre-ordered my blu-ray of LAST GAME too. Ah! U can watch blu-ray in any region, u just have to have a PlayStation or a Blu-ray player. So yh, if u can, plz buy the DVDs)

Another thing is that we have the stage plays! So far we had 1 and another is playing in theaters RIGHT NOW! And we know that there will be more since the whole story wasn’t told yet. We don’t have Murasakibara or Akashi in the stage play just yet and they are sure to come. Because of the popularity, they’ve already announced the release dates of the DVDs too! (blu-rays as well). I mean why would they announce it if there was no demand? PLUS NEED I MENTION THAT THE TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT? DEMAND PPL! HELLO Production I.G!!!

We ALSO have the Replace PLUS manga that is BEING PUBLISHED. There aren’t many chapters for us to read online (which I hate and would kill for), but in Japan they’re selling too! I don’t have the exact figures or anything but what I’m trying to say is that the Kurobas is still alive! it has a side manga that is being published and even though it’s not done by the original creator, it’s still supervised by him! Kurobas is STILL ALIVE! (Replace PLUS needs more love from the online community...)

The Kurobas fanbase is legendary and it’s still strong in force. There are still Kurobas events and merchandise that is out there and it’s not taken out. Why? Because fans are still there, buying it. I really believe that Kurobas has made an impact on a lot of people and so they want to support the series. They love the story and the characters as well. Don’t write Kurobas off just yet Fujimaki. There is so much potential here. Like making another season with the content from Replace PLUS (yh, I’m still waiting for the announcement and I’m probably not alone).

I’m probably exaggerating but I’m just a Kurobas dork. I’ve never loved a series this much and I think that I never will. I know that people keep saying that “there is nothing else to do. The main point of the story is over” but I just can’t take that. I love everything about Kurobas and I just want to see more of it. I know that Fujimaki is finally doing the manga he always wanted to do (about golf) but Kurobas is not over, so don’t do the passing of the torch Fujimaki! It ain’t over yet!

As long as the fandom is alive, Kurobas is still alive. So guys please, support the creators and show them you care. For those of us outside of Japan, we can buy the DVDs and support them that way. Everything else will depend on the Japanese fans and from what I heard, they’re to be feared XD

(I know that there were many interviews where Fujimaki said that he’d like to continue one day but until that day comes, it’s only small talk to me... and I also went to Animate in Shibuya and saw that the Kurobas merch section has SHRANK considerably! ALTHOUGH! There is still the Chara Pop store and J-World that have Kurobas events! I still have hope but at this point with no announcements made, I’m getting more desperate and desperate by day. That’s why when I saw this image, it struck me like a knife to the chest...)

Sorry about this rant but I really wanted to get this out here. Now I feel better... Man, this image really got to me... (Now I can only pray for announcements... Plz let there be more... I NEED my bbys in my life) If anyone has more info, plz message me ;)
