people can accept that ichigo's intense drive to throw himself in harm's way for others is borne simultaneously out of a desire to protect what he loves from harm and to prove his power over others but cannot accept that orihime is scared of what ichigo can do not just because she is terrified of repeating her own traumatic experiences but because she is fucking worried about him, and you get three guesses as to why he might be allowed flaws and she is not (and the first two don't count).
