Hey guys, if I wasn't clear, I do not support ccwilbur/william gold. that guys a prick and I hope he gets legal action taken against him. I'm glad Shelby is doing alright and has support, and I believe and support her 100%.
I've been taking a bit of a break lately, and I'm slowly coming back to tumblr now but even then I'm probably not going to be drawing his character for a bit. That being said, the character (cWilbur) and other bursonas are still very important to me for a plethora of reasons, and I will most likely draw him/them at some point in the future. If you have thoughts, opinions, or questions about this.. my ask box is open. Just be a decent human being. I've also updated my pinned to clarify that my username is about the characters only, as it always has been. thank you <3

Hi! I uh… I’m back, I guess.

It’s been a few years (since maybe 2015) since I’ve been actively posting here, but after what’shisface bought the bird app I thought I’d give tumblr another go!
I’ve not deleted any of my old posts, so bear in mind that I was a different person the last time I was here. Posterity is important though, and it’s nice to be able to see all of the old fandom junk I drew while I was in school/had time to draw for fun.
I’ll start by slowly adding batches of art here and there. All of this has already been on Twitter, so there won’t be any new content! Just catching up.

If I see one more person characterize Caine as evil, I'm activating The Blender
ok but literally. I have been seeing people around the community actually think or characterize Caine as evil and malicious and i really have to wonder if they paid attention to the pilot at ALL.
You're telling me the guy who
-sets up adventures to entertain them and help pass the time. despite being likely too chaotic at times, he means well
-did NOT purposely trap or is keeping the circus gang here on his own accord. He was just as surprised to see Pomni appear as the others and knows an exit doesn't exist. He doesn't know how to send them home and is just trying to keep them all occupied and pleased in their new home
-gives Pomni a tour of the digital world and excitedly and enthusiastically gives her some exposition, talking nicely
-tries to MAKE the IDEA of an exit to make the humans happy. he doesn't quite understand and just tries to make an "exit" where he doesn't know what to put on the other end
-APOLOGIZES for lying about the existence of the "exit" and just didn't want to show them something he hadn't finished
-gives them their own personal rooms, gives them rewarding digital dinners, and helps them come up with new names
-doesn't try to hide MUCH (from what we see in the pilot at least) and admits that something he can't control is their minds. he NEVER tries to make himself seem intimidating or get too arrogant about his authority and control over the circus.
-is just a really pleasant guy who comes off polite despite being zany and a cause for stress depending on the activity
-was literally SAID by the creator that Caine isn't evil; he's OBLIVIOUS. as an AI, he doesn't really understand humans all that well. what seems normal and alright to him doesn't equate to how the humans feel, but he does what he thinks will make them happy. His actions may not be the best wherever the series goes, but he's not doing it with malicious intent.
-he's totally okay with Zooble not wanting to participate in the adventure and promises he'll make it in a way where they don't even have to get super involved with it
-he LISTENS to the humans and respects them. he's quick to bring up that XDDCC is a terrible name. he makes sure to ask Pomni what she thinks and doesn't force it upon her. and he agrees with Jax that an adventure to get Pomni familiar with how things work in the circus.
IS EVIL?????
THOSE WHO WATCHED THE PILOT AND THINK HE'S EVIL AND SCHEMING.... NO,, HE'S REALLY NOT? He means well, he's just... extremely wacky and intense about it. I genuinely don't understand how some people can misinterpret him like that

Clover's got the wildest found family because they're the kid everyone collectively cares for, Martlet is the older sister who probably flunked college (but we love her anyway), Ceroba is some crazy mixture between a mom and a cool aunt except she's SUPPOSED to be a mom, Starlo is the dad that acts more like your brother and knows literally one dad joke, and who KNOWS what Dalv is he's just there but he's happy all the same

Because I'm curious- What's the Caine/Kinger ship name you prefer?
I see some people using one, the other, or using BOTH of them, or even one that I've only seen one person use- I'm curious what the highest consensus is.
Are there any other names I DON'T know about? I don't know who started Royalteeth, but I was the one who posted Kingleader to Tumblr (the name from my friend Toast who is so so smart)

Back on my theory wagon- Anyone else notice the price for the Wacky Watch is 19.95?
I brought this up to my friends at first thinking was this just a Game Theory stretch that wouldn't mean anything, I just thought it was a funny specific number.
Until The Discord Told Me
THE YEAR 1995 APPEARS AFTER KINGER'S TEASER. It's possible this phrase isn't just joking about the pilot's eventual release date; maybe the digital circus (and Kingers arrival) DID come in 1995. That's when the game released. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL EVERYONE SAY THANK YOU TO THE GOOBERS OF THE DISCORD AGAIN BECAUSE
THAT LINES UP SUSPICIOUSLY WELL.
Are there any other references to 1995 that I just didn't see?? Or are these it?? Either way, I swear something is going on here

Martlet and Starlo would be the most hyper duo if left unsupervised and I'm calling it now. Their enthusiasm side by side is too powerful. Martlet isn't necessarily a cowboy super-fan like Starlo but she would have a BLAST participating in the activities Starlo gets up to.
However, she is forever banned from gun-wielding. So is Dalv. Never again.

ok but Kingleader as a ship is so funny to me for so many reasons because Kinger HAD a wife and then she got abstracted and he was probably like very upset but Caine was sad for like 10 minutes until he realized Oh Shit Kinger's Available and he has an Opening. as my friend put it
while Kinger is oblivious for a good amount of time
and everything we talked about was just hysterical like how do you expect them to kiss. one doesn't have a mouth and the other is a mouth. they resort to hand holding. Caine seeing a royal piece of wood and doing that cartoony 'awooga' reaction and Kinger is just standing there with his eye twitching. if Kinger showed up wearing a bowtie Caine would FAINT. Bubble isn't a fan of them and it wants its seat at that little diner back but KINGER HAS TAKEN IT.
Caine decides to marry the guy and EVERYONE IN THE CIRCUS HAS TO COME. but in order to get there it can't NOT be an adventure, they have to get through a dangerous obstacle course just to reach the wedding. nobody really wants to go except for maybe Ragatha who thinks it's sweet. Jax does NOT want to be here. he's not a romance fan (aroace swagger most definitely) and the wedding consists of mostly Caine's extremely long wedding speech which is actually just an elaborate slideshow featuring a Kinger fancam and many supposedly "attractive" pictures which are blurry and covered in heart and star emojis. and to each one Kinger is just "awww stop it"
Kinger also had a speech but it took him half an hour to realize he forgot it and kept everyone waiting
