Ok so in my sick and weakened state I have been watching a very relaxed Breath of the Wild stream to chill, and just hear me out—I think a BOTW AU with Chuuya in the role of Link could be really fun (not that I need more active AUs but let me live, it’s a coping mechanism)
The two of them share some similarities as characters (both short, powerful, missing memories, and also most of their friends are dead)
And Chuuya is just such a melancholic character, I think the atmosphere of BOTW would work for him. I like the idea of him wandering through Hyrule and having all of these quite moments camping out in nature. (Interspersed with the chaos of fighting monsters and running from guardians, of course)
…and of course, then there’s the opportunity for Dazai to be in Zelda’s role. (A member of the royal family who can nullify the calamity as long as he’s paired up with Chuuya’s destructive abilities) Which a) has LOTS of angst potential, and b) has lots of potential for hilarity because, well—Link hears Zelda’s voice periodically throughout the game. Can you imagine what Dazai would do with the power to be a disembodied voice haunting Chuuya? He would pop in whenever he could just to snark at him and try and nudge Chuuya towards regaining his memories.
Dazai, waking Chuuya up in the shrine of resurrection: Chuuya! Chibi! Oh most loyal hound—! Oh, finally, it’s about time you woke up. See that slate over there? Go fetch!—if you can reach it from all the way down there, that is. Hurry it up, now, ah, Chuuya is so sluggish in the mornings! Time is of the essence, oh grand hero!
Chuuya: …I just woke up and I don’t know wtf is happening but I am suddenly full of rage
Dazai, when Chuuya gets thrown off a horse: *ephemeral snickering* Ah, how majestic. The kingdom is in such good hands. Ohhh, what a strong a kick to the stomach from your noble steed, you really went flying — that’s our chosen hero for you!
Chuuya: >:|
Dazai when Chuuya finds a new hat to wear: Oh for the love of Hylia not again. Are you telling me that even without any memories at all, you still have an utterly horrendous sense of style??
Chuuya: …You know, you really aren’t encouraging me to save you from that castle.
(Also Mori would get to be King Rhoam, who did admittedly have the best interests of the kingdom in mind but in the process did things that were not good for his kid’s mental health)
(Which means Chuuya would get to meet ghost-Mori on the Great Plateau, and Mori is the one to very roundaboutly start Chuuya on his journey to being able to fight the Calamity with Dazai, which kinda fits—but also the idea of Mori chopping wood and flying around on a paraglider in this part is really hilarious to me)
Oh, and last point: this way, Chuuya would get a SWORD >:D (lots of swords actually lolololol)

K2 Renin 2020 [ Renin - 1920 ] size 8.5 $150
The K2 Renin Snowboard Boots bring the heat with a mid-flexing package that will appeal to a vast swathe of riders. Their Endo 2.0 Construction is unmatched in the industry, offering refined rebound and response that allows you to get the most out of your boots, season after season. Complete with internal and external Boa lacing, grippy Vibram® RollSole™ Outsoles, and fully heat moldable Intuition™ Pro Foam 3D Liners, the Renins are a great option for shredders of all stripes. - - - Flex Rating – 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)Endo 2.0 Construction – Endo 2.0 is the most technically advanced boot construction available. An injected heel counter construction adds strength and durability to your boot, giving it the same response season after season. The Endo 2.0 design allows for a more precise and smooth flex with a snappy rebound to power you out of any landing or turn. With an ultra durable TPU construction, the Endo 2.0 provides lasting comfort, response and durability for all styles of riding. - - - Internal J Bars . External J Bars . Flex Zone Calf Panel . Cored Ankle Pockets - - - Intuition™ Pro Foam 3D Liner – K2's most supportive liner, this liner uses a high-density foam for added stiffness without sacrificing custom molded comfort. Includes both internal and external J-Bars where extra support is needed around the ankle. - - - H4 Coiler Boa® Fit System – A two reel Boa® system that allows for the upper and lower zones of the boot to be tightened independently. - - - 3D Formed Dual Density EVA - - - Vibram® RollSole™ Outsole – The RollSole Outsole aims at providing additional range-of-motion without sacrificing grip or support. This outsole is keeps the overall weight of the boot down while offering extra mobility side to side. Harshmellow™ Dampening – Impact and vibration absorption for less fatigue. - - - youtube 2020 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkAb7oZxMFY&t=72s https://www.evo.com/snowboard-boots/k2-renin https://www.backcountry.com/k2-renin-boa-snowboard-boot https://www.japangrabs.com/k2-renin-boot-review/ The Renin features a double BOA system, but not the usual upper and lower zone coilers like on the TT snowsurfer boot. On the Renin, there is just the one H3 BOA Coiler for the outer boot, and a BOA Mobility Conda inner boa for ankle hold on the liner. Only one outer BOA had me hesitating when choosing this boot, as the ability to independently adjust the lower and upper boot is quite important to fit. However, when that one outer BOA is combined with the inner ankle BOA I have to admit, it does make for a smooth fit. I was expecting performance loss and general sloppiness, but nope, it fits great with no heel-lift issues. While I think that a separate upper and lower zone BOA system might be better to dial in a ‘perfect’ fit, in reality these boots fit great as they are, so I’m not sure I should ask for more tech just for the sake of more tech. In addition, having a third boa knob sticking out of the boot would probably be too much.

You’ve got a bit more to work with in the tail, so if you like launching off drops and side hits as much as you enjoy getting your elbow down, this is the model for you. It’s no less suited to the powder, especially for those long, flowing arcs on open faces.
Under the hood it has a sturdy poplar/paulowina wood combination that keeps weight down without compromising on strength, while the oversized edges can take a beating.
The name, in case you were wondering, harks back to TK’s ‘Donuts Snowboards’ brand, first made at the Nidecker factory back in 1995.

The Donuts is the most versatile model in the Nidecker SnowSurf collection and is aimed at riders who are looking for a board that will deliver that classic carve on piste whilst still giving class leading levels of float when pushing into the backcountry. Built around a fully directional volume nose shape with shortened tail length and setback camber profile, the Donuts absolutely rips in the pow. But get it on piste and its performance is mesmerising; edge hold is rock solid, drive both into and out of the turn is powerful, in fact it just makes you want to push harder and ride faster.
Construction wise you can tell that Nidecker are pretty serious about performance. Heading this up is the all-new Nidactive wood core. This has been specially created using a combination of poplar and paulownia to deliver a powerful and responsive flex through the length whilst still giving the board a super lightweight feel. To then further enhance performance, Nidecker create the Donuts structural layers from an exclusive combination of Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax glass. These have been specifically orientated to react faster with steeper positive foot angles on both the front and back feet, giving the board faster turn initiation and exit and allowing the rider to really drive the board into and out of the turn. To step up the torsional flex an extra level, the Donuts features a top sheet created from bamboo veneer. Finally to ensure that the speed of the Donuts matches its high end construction, Nidecker fit it with a 9900 base. This is the fastest base material on the market and finishes off this totally awesome snowboard.
