She is not only a delightful and kind person (children love her!), but also a very good scientist. Her main investigative field is dark matter, but when she hears about the existence of parallel worlds scientific curiosity leads her to go explore them. This leads to her meeting new creatures, becoming their friend and having fun adventures with them (they further investigate dark matter and everything the world is made out of), while the rest of the main characters are suffering through multiple layers of character trauma. I was/am always delighted to read a chapter/watch a scene with her in it. Also she saved the world by telling two kids about her crush on a woman, so to me she is the perfect candidate for this.

She's a roboticist who works for the Cosmos Space Centre, way before the game starts her love interest (not 100% explicitly but y'know. y'know its there it's almost all the way there) Metis Cykes was murdered and her brother falsely convicted for the crime. Seven years later there's another murder at the Space Centre and Aura takes matters into her own hands to force a retrial of Metis' murder by holding a number of visitors to the space centre hostage with her robots (hence the Mad Science). Other noteworthy scientific accomplishments is her working with Metis to help create a special set of headphones for Metis' daughter Athena to help cancel out the auditory overload she suffers from. The robots refer to both her and Metis as mother, though she eventually tells them to stop because it reminds her of Metis too much. She's got purple drills hair and slouches leaning down on one of her robots and wears a weird lab coat I love her. Also of note really you could put them in as a duo, Metis Cykes was one of the foremost psychologists of her day and Aura's partner in the robotics department, Aura's brother Simon studied under her to gain an edge in court (yes he's a convicted murderer and still a prosecutor its cool)
