Optimus crushing a deer and thinking he's the worst thing in the world paralleled with Starscream squishing humans left and right is so, so interesting .

Optimus cares even for the creatures who can't even speak to him, or runaway enough to know he's a danger. Even the smallest of creatures he cares for.

And Starscream is just Starscream lol. He kills because he thinks it's funny and fun. He kills the people who know what's happening, who are sentient enough to process it.

Optimus has a crisis because he accidentally steps on a deer. Starscream laughs and does it again, intentionally. These two are such parallels of each other, which makes it all the more interesting since Starscream seems to be the functional leader of the Decepticons.
