My Curology Journey

I’ve struggled with acne for years. Not just the typical hormonal breakouts, don't worry - I get those too, but the full blown self-esteem killing acne. I’ve done chemical peels, countless routines and regimes. Murad, Roden and Fields, Salicylic Acid... you name it, I’ve tried it.

Don’t get me wrong all of those treatments worked to clear up my skin, but only for a week or two tops.

It got to a point where I was fed up. I saw an ad on Curology and thought I’d give it a try.

So let me give you the run-down.

You download the app and sign up.

You make an account.

Chose what your skin problems and concerns are. I chose breakouts, my scarring (DO NOT PICK YOUR SKIN! LISTEN TO YOUR GRANDMA!), and my big scars.

You're assigned your own personal dermatologist and they create a lotion just for you. When I say “just for you” I mean it, the bottle says your name and everything!

The bottle ships, you receive it, and the life changing happens.

The steps? Apply nightly after cleansing and before moisturizer.

I started this journey on August 20, 2018. Here are some before photos.

Here’s an update. Minus the big cheek and jawline hormonal breakout, my acne has almost completely decreased. My redness and discoloration has diminished. The next step is just to try to lighten my scars.

I still have a long way to go, but I can now feel comfortable going out in public without makeup because of this little bottle of magic.
