In which I complain about work.

I’ve been getting more frequent migraines and asked to work from home on those days since any and all light sources are suspect. Management’s response was to move me to the copy room where there is no light and roundly reject any remote work possibilities. The desk is just high enough to be awkward when sitting but not high enough to stand at, which about sums up the entire company’s attitude toward accommodations and fostering any kind of positive work environment. I spent most of last Thursday huddled under a sweater because of the pain. Then I came in yesterday and the office manager was working from home. It’s so funny I could laugh until I cry.
