started & finished kusuriya no hitorigoto manga and omw to read the light novels now 🏃

i said the previous week that i was CRAVING casefic (unfortunately svsss doesn't have as much as md does) or mystery novels and here it is!!!!!!! this is what i was craving!!! political intrigue and an herbalist mc!!!!

am fully updated with no home now 💖 finished it yesterday and this is definitely the scene that stays with me

LOVE these lil guys. also, this series gave me insane whiplash because it dropped the comedy tag real fast then hurtled into a drama/angst coming-of-age.

i maintain that it feels like skip to loafer, except evil because (1) the kids tend to be actively troubled in more dangerous ways; (2) messy crass teenage years; (3) my feelings hurt after reading this

my frog and toad granny square cardigan 🐸🍁

this took me three months of on & off work! learnt how to do an invisible mattress seam, seaming squares with unequal sides, and a yarn-over slip stitch ribbing for this project.

this didn't start out with the frog & toad squares but a beloved twitter mutual erin pointed out that the color scheme was frog & toad so i decided to add the squares!

one of my project roadblocks was the arrangement of squares, i feel like there MUST be some perfect mathematical arrangement to patchwork that i just haven't achieved. so, i procrastinated for a month despite the squares being fully finished.

i AM proud that i managed to weave in square ends as i was making squares & not all at once at the end. i did find that the ribbing & seaming created a LOT of ends that i also procrastinated on

incredibly happy with this project & how neat it is!
