okay i'll say it: the bbc ghosts christmas special fucking sucked.
#only got round to watching it now and ugh. what a letdown.#just gonna pretend the s5 finale was the end of the show and not... whatever this was#it's not like i was opposed to a bittersweet ending! not at all!#but at the very least it should've been. y'know. consistent with the themes of the show#instead of taking a huge steaming shit all over them#hey you know this show that's all about finding belonging and community outside of traditional family models?#sike! its final message is that the nuclear family always comes first#genuinely pretty angry about this#the episode also wasn't all that funny or entertaining in general tbh#the doctor who christmas special was so much fun and now this :(#ghosts spoilers#bbc ghosts spoilers
