Week 2 of my 50 State coffee campaign: This week's roaster is @sidecarcoffee from Cedar Falls, Iowa. I picked up a bag of their Malawi - Misuku Hills out of the Msese, SE Mzimba region. Having never had coffee from Malawi before, I was quite excited to try this roast. I was instantly rewarded with aromatics of caramel and sweet fruit. I brewed using the Kalita Wave method which led to a wonderfully sweet cup of coffee filled with notes of raisin and caramel.
