☁ lore is third child of the cohen family, leaving her smack in the middle with four siblings. middle child, and it shows. mediating is the name, avoiding conflict like the plague is the game. ☁ although not exactly family orientated, her siblings still matter a great deal to her. she's the fun big sister to her younger sister and brother, usually the only person who spoke to them like an adult and let them get away with many things their parents wouldn't. ☁ her parents always wanted a big family and they seem to be on the right track. they moved to shrike heights from maine when lore was five, and they lived here pretty much ever since. their house is located downtown. ☁ as a kid, lore absorbed any and all fantasy media she could get her hands on. a d&d nerd through and through, she also loved drawing all the characters at her party. she grew out of the phase in high school, but still pursued art and wrote horrible stories for fun. ☁ high school also saw her actually getting some friends that shared her sentiments. one in her friend group especially, a boy named rick, got close to her in a way that slowly bloomed into her first relationship. ☁ you see, rick was everything lore dreamed her first boyfriend would be. they dated for three years all through graduation, after which rick announced that he was getting the hell out of shrike heights and he wanted lore to go with him. by the merit of her nerdy hobbies, lore might seem like a shy and awkward person but her friends and rick knew better. she was ride or die for him, which meant that she was all in for this venture she still wasn't ready for. ☁ they moved to boston, got a place and both worked two part time jobs. this arrangement only worked because their respective shifts never coincided with each other and they hardly saw each other. ☁ as time went on, it became apparent to lore that this wasn't the future she wanted for herself. she had such little time for her art anymore, rick barely showed her any of the interest he did back in shrike. ☁ one day in 1986, lore went to see Labyrinth. ber boyfriend said he would be working, so she was by herself. the movie was cathartic for her. she saw her and rick's past mirrored in sarah and the goblin king, who spirited her away from her old life into chaos. except she wasn't sure if her will was as strong as rick's anymore. ☁ at the end of the movie, she noticed a couple leaving the threatre holding hands. that would be it, except lore knew exactly who the guy was.

present

☁ she moved back in with her parents to shrike heights that year. came to a few realizations about herself, briefly worked at creepie's bar and somewhat settled back into her old routine. ☁ leaving rick was the biggest choice she had to make for herself. bullet dogded, her family told her. her big brother had moved out while she was gone and they were more than happy to get their daughter back. ☁ lore is a bit more reserved than she used to be, less likely to share the things that used to excite her. one thing is constant though, art. she still draws her feelings, even sometimes her nightmares. her style is a lot more macabre than it used to be. ☁ when it comes to the attacks, she doesn't know how to feel. her or her family hasn't been personally affected yet, but she hates thinking it's only a matter of time. ☁ after quitting her job at the bar, gets a job at the flower shop in shrike mall called life rose on. she is aware of the recent attack there, though cannot begin to imagine how her coworkers are coping. she would desperately want to help them.

☁ really think she should have an enemy, or someone she doesn't get along with, that either knows or doesn't know the reason for her moving back to shrike but still uses that to spread rumors about her. ☁ dnd friends!! equally nerdy friends to talk about movies! ☁ an older, protective presence in her life who sees how lost she is for the past two years and is willing to help her find her path.
