ooooh aaah my first anonymous hate mail!

now i know i said i'd post this sort of stuff publicly to shame the sender, but i'm faaaaiiirly sure this is a kid. so! i'm not gonna post it, or engage, and have in fact already deleted it, because i really really suspect it's a kid.

i'll address one part: about me not tagging my work.

like many other things in the ask, that's an outright lie. i actually do my best to tag comprehensively and liberally, and if you're hatescrolling my blog you already know my tag for the shipaganza in particular is this: 🎀💖

i have put this tag (again, it's 🎀💖) on every post related to the shipaganza. even the explicitly non-romantic, platonic ones (like bandee's and kirby's) and the what the heck is that? ones (like marx's) so that people can liberally avoid it for any number of reasons. i'm just doing this event for fun, and want it to be fun for people viewing the work as well!

i also make it clear regularly that earnest folks can ask me to tag anything in particular and i will do so. however, i cannot control what tags are used on a post once it leaves my blog, so i recommend that you use this handy feature

to make sure you never have to see any of my content ever again, no matter who else might reblog it onto your feed!

if that's not enough and you're still finding mentions of me on your timeline (such as when other people @ me), you can also apparently use "filtered post content" and just put my username in there. now i haven't tried that in particular, but it seems comprehensive as it searches the entire post for instances of a phrase. here are the instructions on how to do that.

anyway! i hope these steps successfully help you to never see my content or mentions of me ever again!

Sorry, you've probably been asked this many times before.

But what do you do when no one in the fandom interacts positively with your fanfics.

Should I delete and move on.

They're reading the fics. Or someone is reading. The hit count is crazy high, the kudos count is 1 or 2. The fics themselves are not nsfw, not non con, not anything excessively beyond the violence in canon.

What they are, is they're about the supporting characters instead of the main couple.

There's been so many passive aggressive tumblr posts making fun of the canon characters I write for that I've stopped following the tags. There's been so much silence on my fics... I've never quite experienced that in any other fandom. There's a discord server for the fandom frequently mentioned in comments on other posts, that I've been clearly excluded from.

The only instances of interaction I've experienced have been negative. E.g. I included translations in one fic, and then received a public comment on my tumblr post telling me that one glyph in one line in the chapter's footnotes was wrong. Nothing about the writing in the chapter itself of course. Just this abrasive, 'you done fucked up loser' kind of tone.

For context, in my last fandom, my fics were popular. Hundreds of kudos, lovely interactions, fanart made of my OC and sent to me (!!absolutely floored me!!).

The current fandom is a small one, less than 600 fics in total on Ao3.

Do I push on.

Do I delete.

Why on earth would you delete?

And why do you assume you've been excluded from some discord instead of merely failing to be invited?

If the hit count is high, sure, maybe someone linked to them from somewhere, but maybe it's a bot or a glitch or who knows what. Even if someone did link and everyone's reading but not kudosing, so what? It probably just means they thought the headers were interesting enough to click on, side characters and all, but the fic didn't grab them.

If you want more interaction, it might make sense to go get into some other fandom for your next fic, but I don't see any reason to destroy what you've made in this one.

I don't entirely disagree, but I think that what you say about it being impossible to be apolitical would extend to the original poll itself. Ignoring the political climate doesn't make it apolitical. I do agree in that case not posting them at all would be political in a different way. If I might suggest? Perhaps you could simply add a small statement. "Free Palestine" at the bottom of the post, to make it clear. Or add a tag to clarify it is Israeli made, on occupied Palestinian land. Or add a watermelon emoji if you want it to be as innocuous as possible and hopefully not invite people to bring up the politics of it. My kneejerk reaction was discomfort due to the lack of any acknowledgement of a conflict that is impossible to escape. Any mention of Israel is inherently going to bring politics into it, so for people's reassurance and comfort knowing you're not purposefully ignoring said conflict for the sake of your polls (which I think people could uncharitably interpret that as), maybe adding something small to acknowledge it without making it a big show would be a good gesture. Thank you for responding thoughtfully to my prior ask.

unfortunately after reading the other ask I found myself slightly disappointed by the fact that you didn't fully read mod sus' response. Even if you did, one of the main points was "we do not wish to bring genocide into this" this is not a blog about politics. we do not wish to force our opinions, or anything upon anyone else. who I stand for should not affect other's opinions when it's on a blog that is about horror movies and if you have seen them or not. as mod sus suggested, you could simply block the tag "israel" if you do not wish to see movies that have been made by them, this is why the tagging system is in place. bringing politics onto this blog will increase attention from both sides of the matter, whether it be positive or negative, will ultimately block the audience's view of what this blog is actually for, having fun and joy around what the world could only know as, horror movies.

I want to request a story where Steve-O comforts chubby female Reader. Reader is a Jackass cast member, posts a picture of herself with a Jackass themed dress (black sundress with the Jackass skull and red hearts printed all over), and gets some negative comments about her weight from online trolls. Irl, I recently had to deal with online bullying for the same scenario, posted a pic of me wearing the Jackass dress I designed, and while I did get nice comments, I also got a few mean ones about my weight, so I watched some Steve-O videos to cheer me up after this happened. Idk, you can make it turn smutty at the end of you want.

Jackass is everything to you. Job, legacy and family. No matter how far your career branched out, it always comes back to the movies that started it all. So it felt obvious to combine your newly picked up hobby and one of the most crucial parts of your life, designing a beautiful black sundress adorned with the famous Jackass skull and delicate red hearts surrounding the piece.

Proud of your creation, it was a no brainer to share it with friends and fans of the franchise by posting a picture of yourself wearing it online.

Initially, all was well, people loved it and complimented your skills, some even asking if you would make it available as merch. Naively riding the high of internet validation, everything comes crashing down when your eyes gloss over a gross comment tearing you apart because of your looks. Before your mind can shut the idea down, you're scrolling through the other comments to see if there are more like it, and you end up finding what you went looking for.

You had always been under relative scrutiny from Jackass fans for joining the crew around the third movie, a bit of an 'intruder' in some people's eyes, but all of the boys received their fair share of criticism so it felt wrong to complain. You figured respecting the loyal followers and allowing them to feel however they wanted could get you in their good graces eventually, but this is too far. It's completely uncalled for and has nothing to do with Jackass itself.

Deleting the mean comments and moving on is no longer an option after noticing people defending you under them, sparking long threads of disgusting insults about your weight and body.

It's no surprise that people on the internet can be horrible, but it would be asking too much of any human being to not fall for it and be affected by personal attacks, even if slightly.

Shutting your laptop, you spend the rest of the day curled under a blanket in your couch, trying to blame the tears on the sappy movie you had put on. Eventually you have to turn off your phone too, because people are calling. At first you believe you are being paranoid, it could have nothing to do with your post, but when the guys' names show up on screen one by one, you're terrified of what the situation might have grown into, so you make yourself unreachable.

The knock on your door is the first thing to remind you of outside life. The intercom didn't ring, so you figured it was your neighbour looking for his cat again.

You should have guessed it was Steve-O instead, he did live close to you. He's holding the white cat in his arms, scratching its head.

"Hey, beautiful."

Leaning on the door frame, you attempt to pet the animal but it moves away. "Cotton doesn't usually like being touched. You're a true cat whisperer."

"Pussy mage, if you will." Vocalizing your disgust, you reprimand his low-hanging joke as the small creature is freed from his grasp and elegantly walks away along the halls.

Steve-O hugs you tight and before you can protest, he's switching your positions so that now he is inside your apartment, knowing you could refuse to let him in but never kick him out.

"What did you do to the doorman? Did you bribe him?"

"I'm famous, dear." His laugh is comforting, but his question is a bucket of cold water. "You're not letting those trolls get to you, are you?"

"Never." You're stiff and your voice wavers, revealing the truth quite effortlessly. "Ok, look, if you're here for a pep talk, I don't need it. I just want to watch movies and not think about it."

"Fine. What are we watching?" He plops down on your couch, stealing the blanket and taking off his shoes.

Steve-O is the best company you could have right now, holding an eternal soft spot for him, so you truly could never ask him to leave.

On the couch, you're forced to sit close in order to share the blanket. It takes a second to feel right, but when he immediately starts asking questions about the plot, you forget everything else.

In between cracking up at stupid Steve-O jokes, heavy lids win the fight against exhaustion, head leaning on a strong shoulder.

Firm hands warming up your skin in constrast to the now cold air replacing the embrace of the old blanket wake you up. Your friend is preparing to lift and carry your body presumably to your bed.

"Woah, no need for that." Dark eyes dart over your face, confused. "I think I'm too heavy."

"Don't be stupid." With that, Steve gets up from the couch, bringing you with him. He sure wasn't the scrawny kid anymore, taking a moment to enjoy feeling secure in a man's arms, his muscles flexing under your weight but not struggling. Casually holding, instead, as if it's nothing short of ordinary.

That doesn't happen to you that often. Maybe you're still asleep, dreaming of a perfect love interest, all the movies you had watched bleeding into your unconscious.

Even though your bedroom was just at the end of the hallway, it felt like you stared at his stoic face in the dark for hours.

"Safe and sound." Steve sets you down on the mattress carefully, and the possibly rusty springs still squeak.

"Old bed." A tight smile, the very one you loved, spread across a tired face, causing glasses to slide down his nose a little. "What time is it?"

"Past eleven, or something." He shrugs, setting a hand on your thigh. It moves up and down, comfortable heat running up your body. "Call me if you need anything, yeah?"

"Wait." It's a split second decision, mind completely overrun by emotion and a need for attention, his attention. "Would you stay? Please? Un-Unless you have something to get to or, uhm, or someone waiting for you, or if you don't want to, obviously…"

"I'm so glad you asked, dude. I really don't feel like walking even three blocks in the cold night air."

Chastising him for even considering laying in your bed in dirty clothes, you're now under the sheets next to a half naked Steve-O. This whole thing is a terrible, awful, self-sabotaging-esque idea because of course you're not going to be normal about it. It's your annoyingly attractive friend who you've had a longing crush on for years, spending the entire day intent on pulling you out of a shitty mood and now showing off a toned chest iluminated by the screen of his phone.

The black rectangle slipping from his fingers and smashing on his nose is what disperses your trance, defogging your brain and giving way for the most sincere boisterous laugh exploding from your chest.

The bed shakes with how much the two of you are laughing, heads pushing back on the pillows, disrupting the quiet building.

"Sorry- just- oh my god, the look on your- so stupid"

Your eyes are shut when Steve sighs loudly, recovering from the fit. "Oh, man, it sucks so bad that you have an adorable laugh."

Before you can ask what that is supposed to mean, lean fingers start tickling your sides. At first, it's entertaining, unable to resist the urge to squirm and giggle, but soon the realization that he is feeling your body hits.

He notices the quick change in your expression. "What, you don't like my hands there?"

Breathing uneasy, everything is deafeningly silent again.

"Don't tell me it's because…" His tone is explicit, enough to uncover how well aware he is of you. "Oh, no, beautiful. There's no need for that."

Silence is overtaken by unspeakable tension. His voice is lower, more serious. Fingertips in your sides transform into palms pushing your jumper up, thumbs caressing the skin under your boobs.

"Are they better there?" Steve's torso hovers over your unmovable body, non-threatening but demanding, waiting for permission.

Swallowing thickly, you think back to those comments. How quickly you forgot them, how much they did not change who you are, or who you care about, or most importantly, who truly cares about you. With new found boldness, helped by the reminder that there's always going to be more to life than what strangers think, you give an answer.

"They are."

Just like that, chapped lips envelop yours. A million thoughts race through you, but they are quickly brushed off when Steve pulls your body down and straddles your hips.

Part of your hair hangs off the side of the bed as his tongue moves to explore. Separating, you're surprised by his decision to turn on the lamp in your bedside table. "I wanted this for so long, I want to see all of you."

There's no time to focus on the confession, caught off guard by the unapologetic admission he actually wants to look at your body. All of it, as he said. If only he knew the confidence that was sparking inside of you, well, maybe he would be proud.

Steve-O is quick to remove your jumper fully, uncovering your breasts, which he does not hesitate to suck on dotingly. As much as you wish you could say everything you felt, all that comes out is his name, over and over again.

Taking that as encouragement, his raspy tongue frees your nipples to continue traveling down your stomach, biting the soft skin along the way and stopping to leave a hickey among the stretch marks in your hips.

Watching him carefully, some suspicion remains. "You're telling me you like all that? I don't remember seeing thick thighs in any of the girls you dated."

Redirecting his gaze up at you, his eyes look determined, just like when you bet against him on a stunt.

Steve moves back on the mattress, grabbing one of your legs and wasting no time before open-mouth kissing them, covering you in more purple marks and bites. The thought of hoping that's how he eats pussy is interrupted by a barely contained moan from him.

"You mean these?" Digits press where his lips were just a second ago. "Don't go thinking you know everything about me, beautiful."

Your lips are partly open when Steve-O takes them again, expecting his kiss and meeting it with the same hunger this time. The older man takes advantage of your distraction to hook his fingers on the band of your pajama shorts and pull them down, counting on you to kick them off with your feet.

Once that is done with, he moves down one more time, licking his lips at the sight of white lace panties. "May I?"

Nodding, your lower lip gets pulled in by your teeth in anticipation, gaze moving to the ceiling. A deep sigh is not enough, you're moaning louder than this building has probably heard in its entire existence. Safe to say you were right about the similar way he treats your thigh and your clit.

Every muscle is contracting, fingers gripping the sheet and sweat pooling in your back.

“I am sharing my opinion on my account” if your opinion is just bringing down another artist you can shove that opinion up your own asshole because no one wants it. People and artists are doing this for FREE for the fandom, they can make whatever they want, so unless you are supporting artists and content creators may be just think about shutting the fuck up

sorry, this is pretty late due but uh.

firstly, i deleted the post and apologized for making a fuss.

secondly, i didn't "bring down" anyone. it was an opinion for one (1) work and i never asked if anyone "wants my opinion" bc i NEVER mentioned what it was or who it was exactly. i never tagged nor jumped into their work thread to express my opinion either. it shouldn't have anything to do with them making works, that's not my rights. it was the "general idea" of that work that i disagreed with, and it's not the first fanwork i see that goes in such direction, that's all the rant was about. but i agree it shouldn't be made public.

there's context to that though.

opinions for works happen. even i'm aware there are ppl who hate my works (and they're free to have opinions on that too). but NEVER did i say anything personally about the artist. i still appreciate their other works, it's absolutely cool they still make works for the fandom, and they should be supported as a content creator. but that specific work has a counter-argument to the official manga that roused discourses and was released during sensitive time. the reason for that was not limited to the work, but that artist's previous opinions regarding the manga's canon events that they posted in public on their local platform/socmed, which was now deleted, and which i will not elaborate even though i've seen it with all its negativity. that statement was reflected on the work, and as a result it did affect my opinions for that work and i ranted out with frustration, and i apologize for that.

so yes, there's more context to that "opinion" thread of mine, but i won't discuss it anymore. my "opinions" should never matter in the first place. anw, please block me if you are against the disagreement to that general idea presented in the work (not the work itself) and don't want to see it.

p.s. i do buy from artists and content creators if you're curious about that. Half of the stuffs i buy for Jjk are fanmade goods, and there's a LOT.

Your blog is really making me hopeful that Byler will happen, although unfortunately I still don't really trust the chreators to make it happen... I mean, I've been mislead and disappointed so many times - but that wasn't the point of my ask. I sorta wanted to rant, but I am lowkey too scared to make my own post. Here we go: it really REALLY bothers me how so many of the milkvan shippers are super homophobic while "defending" their ship/attacking byler and/or byler shippers. You can really see this while scrolling the milkvan tag (biggest mistake I made, ever).

Also what I saw was so many of them claiming bylers don't care about Mike, or if Eleven gets her heart broken, etc. etc., that bylers only care about "their gay noncanon ship". It's so ridiculous that it almost makes me laugh because a LOT of the milkvan shippers (before anyone gets mad, of course not all of them) are the ones who don't give a shit about the plot, the individual characters or really any other aspect of the show that doesn't have to do with milkvan. So many of them reduce El and Mike only to each other's love interests, as if there is nothing else there. A lot of the byler shippers get these characters as individuals and think of them individually. I also saw many ppl on the milkvan tag claim bylers don't care specifically about Mike AT ALL, only as Will's love interest. What??? I really haven't seen many of these byler shippers around. And... as if many of the milkvans don't do the same exact thing. They literally do not care about Mike, or El, or anyone. Or anything that happens in the show. It's so hypocritical.

Sorry this is so incoherent, I am tired and having trouble gathering my thoughts together. Also, absolutely no pressure to answer this! I am sure many of these things have been said before.

Hi! I'm so happy that my blog has been a positive experience for you! That being said, I completely understand not having full confidence, because I know that queerbaiting is a huge issue in media, and I've experienced that pain as well *coughs* destiel *coughs*

It really is a problem that people have started to use their ship as an excuse to be homophobic. I've seen it happen a few times in my ask box and it's always really disturbing to me how much hatred these people have towards Will just because he's "getting in the way" of their ship. Like weird ass, did you even watch this season? He single-handedly saved the bones of Mordecai and the Rigbys that remains after all the lies and gaslighting. If anything, they should be thanking Will.

I also think it's super weird that people assume that we hate Mike, because personally, Mike is my favorite character. I love how layered he is and there's something about the progression of his character that really resonates with me. But seriously, why would we ship Mike with Will if we didn't like Mike? I think some people are under the impression that we only ship Byler because the ship itself is gay, which I take a bit of issue with because they make it seem like we're making shit up just to make it gay. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy ships like Steddie or Ronance, and I think they're cute and have a certain amount of chemistry, but those ships, while fun, don't hold the same weight as Byler, and I feel like people are kind of lumping Byler in with that category even though we have much more substantial evidence that something could really happen here. But Byler aside for a second, even if I wasn't for Byler, at this point, I still wouldn't be for Monstrosity because their relationship is plain unhealthy and imbalanced.

I would agree though, I've seen a lot more Mannequin shippers say stuff about them hating Mike and loving El than I've seen Byler shippers say anything negative about Mike (other than in an affectionate or joking way). It's honestly weird bc why would you want El with Mike if you don't like Mike?? Make it make sense.

Just went to the elriel tag to look at their art because I genuinely love them but now I feel somehow. I am fairly new to the fandom and don’t know how things work and that people go all out for shipwars I didn’t know if you don’t ship a certain ship you should stay away from their content they made me feel so icky for shipping elucien they didn’t use the exact words of calling him a creep but there was so many insinuations I legit saw one say that if you ship elain and lucien your weird because why would you ship people that are uncomfortable around each other. Neglecting the fact that there is a reason and deeper meaning to why they have this reaction towards each other and it’s not because elain thinks Lucien is a creep he is literally one of the most respectful males in this series , honestly I didn’t know the fandom was a cutthroat place like this and I do love the contents but it’s a lot for me. I didn’t know who to tell since your practically one of the first eluciens I followed and looking at your page it’s feels like safe space so hope this ask is okay.

E/riels are a special brand of wild and moronic behavior. Not all but majority of them are some of the biggest immature cyberbullies I've ever witnessed. I'm so sorry you had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with them.

Elucien is endgame. They can accept it and keep E/riel as fanon or leave the Fandom.

This is what I don't understand. Obviously not every ship in every book, movie, TV, etc will be Canon. We all have tropes we favor and characters we think would be good together. They won't be endgame. They might not even have a relationship. But that doesn't stop fanon. With fics, edits, art, head canons, whatever. Your ship can exist in Ganon. You can have this happy little slice of fanon heaven. I've done it time and time again.

You know what I didn't do? Change narratives in the Canon text to claim them for a fanon ship. I didn't provoke others online for shipping the Canon ship(now if they came for me or my friends it's on but I didn't go into random posts or ask boxes spewing negative. Calling them worthless or far worse because of it.) Anyway, I don't understand why E/riels can't just be satisfied in their own little fanon world. And leave everyone alone.

Lucien isn't a creep. He is kind and very respectful towards Elain. Three. He's given her three years and will continue to give her whatever time she needs to come to terms with bond. He'd never resort to some dumbass duel, cry like a selfish toddler that he's left out, or please himself to a fucking bottle of headache pills. Thats because he values. She means something to him. Even if they broke the bond, he would always be there for Elain. Unlike a certain bat boy who only wants her as a forbidden booty call.

Now that, that's out of the way. Let's talk about this Fandom. I'll be the first to say babes. Alot of this Fandom is toxic. And not just the E/riels. I've seen it from anti sjm, to anti/pro certain ships and characters. Tbh, if I wasn't apart of Star Wars or the HP Fandom. Shipping both Reylo and Dramione....I probably would have left this one.

I understand if you decide to leave this Fandom or take a step back (sometimes it's a good thing!).

However lovely anon. There's alot of us who do love acotar and although we know there's flaws in the characters and the books. We love it dearly. It's a special place in our hearts. You're Fandom experience is what you make of it. What I mean by that is simply if you wanna stay in the Fandom because the series itself do four things as often as you need too:

1. Block the tags

2. Block users

A few of them twist the narrative too in saying Lucien wants Vassa. When we were given those Jurian x Vassa moments. However, I've never had a bad experience with them personally)

Where do you think the word "Forgetful", "Don't remember", "Dementia", "Schizophrenia", "I forget", "Memories", and "I can't remember" came from?

It was coming up from thin air?

Please apologize to your ancient/English ancestor, the historians, the psychologists, the neurologist, the doctors, and many people who lost their families to Dementia/ Schizophrenia if you think it like that.

Second, it's about love.

Are you cupid or anything that is supposed to be in control of someone's love?

Oh gosh, you're taking shipping too hard that you forget that they are real people (not your dolls, favorite characters, or anything).

I believe if you try to lessen your walls around people, they will like you🙃

Third, attention.

Can I ask you something?

Isn't it posting on media social was for ATTENTION?

Look, it's for keeping in touch with friends and extended family. Didn't it use ATTENTION? Or do you need a simple word to explain this?

People need someone's attention to keep them alive. That's the rule.
