i think what's been putting me off of digital art for a while is that the way i was doing it just took like too long and was too tedious for my brain to want to focus on so i'm trying out New Ways Of Doing Things that have similar results to my old style (imo) and this is a result of Practice Arting. anyway here's the guy with the same name as the character from cloudy with a chance of meatballs

day 24

omg. i couldn't think of an idea for today and just on a whim i checked what i did this time last year and i realized I ALMOST BROKE MY FOUR YEAR STREAK OF REDRAWING THIS PIECE. i kept it going purely by chance. the day 24 roboradia combo lives on tho

figured i would do it digital since that's the bulk of my work, now! I don't actually think my marker skills have improved much since last year, since I haven't really been utilizing them. this feels like a much more accurate read on my artistic progress.

this has been sitting in my head since i finished my gravity falls rewatch. something about the spiral and master manipulators idk! (text is from the magnus archives episode 187 "checking out" btw!)
