I still need to finish full references for most of the characters in the Everyone Lives AU but I might as well infodump what I know about the FNaF 6 cast after the fire if anyone wants to read it.

Michael

So, Frailty's remnant logic. If you know you know, if you don't it basically means that he recovers really quickly because molten soul metal is a hell of a drug. Mike actually didn't start recovering until AFTER the fire, since most of his body was rotten to the point it would take forever. Then the fire burned the parts that were stopping the remnant from really working (as you may guess it did not burn as Henry had anticipated) and it really was a shock when Michael passed out in the middle of the floor in front of everyone because his lungs just completely reformed and he hadn't needed to breathe in so long he'd just forgotten.

After he fully recovered (basically he looks like a normal human being again), his eyes took on a silver tone instead of the previous gray-blue. A little nod to the Silver Eyes trilogy even if it's just me taking the name literally.

Honestly way too much of Mike's stuff here is just "yeah this is how having remnant in his bloodstream affects him", so last one: while ghosts just phase through most people, Michael's a solid object (usually ghosts can only physically interact with other ghosts/directly haunted objects). Also he's kinda stuck being 23 forever.

Michael really likes Mother Mother, his favorite album is O My Heart. This might seem random but just listen to Body and you'll probably get it.

Since this AU came from nostalgia from an ask blog I used to frequent, he figures out that the older animatronics are still out there and goes around collecting them one way or another.

Henry

Charlie kinda shoved his soul into Lefty. She refuses to elaborate why to him.

Henry's a bit upset that he's still here, but maybe that's a good thing since no one else seemed to die in the fire.

Charlie

Her main reason for shoving her dad into Lefty was that THIS being his solution to keep her there pissed her off. Before you get on me for mischaracterizing her, imagine trying to fall asleep, but whenever you're about to nod off something wakes you up again so you're just constantly cranky from being tired for a whole week. That's basically what it was like insider Lefty for her.

She was inside the Puppet for a week before leaving it, and most of that time was spent inside a cardboard box that Michael was about to put into recycling. Box is box and Charlie was tired.

Charlie can interact more with the physical world, unlike most ghosts (eg. picking objects up, having more choice in when she phases through things, etc.).

William

He's just completely out. Everyone else could at least move after the fire (although Mike did have one of his legs charred to the point it crumbled when he tried to walk on it), but he's in UCN right now. Elizabeth in CB had to carry him out of the building.

William does still twitch occasionally, so he's obviously not dead. To reduce suspicion from the house smelling like someone died inside, they keep him in the basement and check on him once in a while to see if he woke up.

Elizabeth and Circus Baby

I got a lot to say on Elizabeth, honestly the reason I made this post was because I thought about her a lot while drawing her and I didn't want to forget it. Eventually I just decided "screw it, this IS the main AU I think about anyways so why not give everyone who wants to know an intro?". I'll color the text as it corresponds to each (green for Liz, blue for CB).

Originally she planned on only staying at Michael's house until William woke up and they split off (not like she would tell him). Elizabeth only stayed longer because it became really apparent that he wasn't getting up for a long while and she didn't want to leave without William.

She died in 1987 shortly after the second Missing Childrens Incident, and hadn't actually left Circus Baby until after the fire. So she spent about 36 years with no break inside the 7-foot-tall robot, and was extremely used to that. Once she's out and herself again, Elizabeth is suddenly about 4 feet tall and feels completely different. The closest thing I think to how she'd feel is weak/defenseless.

Michael managed to tell Elizabeth that William full well knew that Circus Baby would kill her if she went near it because that's what she was created to do, even having an emergency override: he just didn't pay enough attention to use it in time. She does end up believing this but it left her in a situation where she just couldn't trust anyone in the house for a while. William was shown to not really care about her as much as she thought he did, and she still didn't trust Michael. Elizabeth didn't trust Henry or Charlie either, and the rest of the Funtimes kicked Circus Baby (and by extension her) out to survive on her own. Eventually she built enough trust with everyone but it really did take a while.

The original MCI kids and Evan show up eventually, and Elizabeth subconsciously would count them and only really interact closely with one at a time when it was just the two of them. It's a habit she picked up from her time in Circus Baby and I don't think it really ever left her. So Elizabeth looks really shy at first, but really she's just functioning off of something that she has for years.

Circus Baby is still Scrap Baby when it comes to looks, but still goes by her normal name.

She has the claw on her right arm but no actual reason to use it, so sometimes she'll clamp down on something and not let go just for fun. This annoys basically everyone else since occasionally it will be one of their arms.

CB and Elizabeth still get along really well. CB's the only one Elizabeth trusts during that time period where no one else seemed trustworthy.

Everyone just calls Circus Baby either by her full name or CB (like I did here sometimes). But no one under any circumstances calls her just Baby. More from their own preference.

Molten Freddy

The Funtimes (minus Circus Baby who is still exiled) aren't exactly Molten Freddy anymore. They separated into their different characters again but take their sweet time figuring out how to take a form other than just a blob again. They'll figure it out eventually.

By eventually, I mean when Michael finally caves and goes back to the bunker for their casings. If Circus Baby can do it and not get locked back in, there's no way he can't (I would not doubt that the remains of his previous internal organs are still there, but he wasn't thinking about that part).

They get really excited seeing some of the most mundane slice-of-life things. Mike's building a LEGO set since he hasn't had enough time to do so in a while? They're immediately over there watching. The Funtimes probably haven't seen vents that aren't large enough for a grown man to crawl through and are questioning about why they exist if not as a mode of quick transportation around the house.

The Rockstars

Not much about them, but there's some notable things about the Rockstars I wanted to put here to finish this post off.

Rockstar Freddy's fucking dead. I'm not even holding back, he overheated in the fire and no amount of repairs are going to bring him back (UCN reference lol).

All the surviving Rockstars have some pretty bad fire damage, but none of them really care about it. The nice part of not having as much of a programmed personality is that you don't care how you look quite as much.

With Freddy gone, Rockstar Bonnie and Foxy do vocals together. Despite their grouping being called the Rockstars they actually do more country songs than anything.

I don't remember their name but I had a mechanic for the animatronic based on who was controlling it. If it was the girl, it was mostly passive and her eyes glowed white, if it was the boy, it was more aggressive

Yes it's a cat, context ? It was Chi's sweet home rp that turned into the most confusing thing that ever existed with generational curse, demons, elemental powers and soooooo much more random ass stuff

But it was fun, I even have a favorite character who was called Night

So how does UT/DR affect that world ? Well... Timeline monster corrupting everything and there is this one desert in a timeline that exist to protect everyone. It has a giant shield too, I don't have the plan but I know I had made one so in case I find it I'll let y'all know

Open Custom Night Devlog #1: After A Year, I’m Really Doing It This Time

Oh boy I have a lot I wanna say and rant about after working on this for such a long time.

WHY AM I REMAKING UCN?

I really dislike Clickteam Fusion 2.5. When I was a wee lad I saw FNaF and wanted to make my own video games. I was inspired! So I spent the next 4 years of my life learning it. Huge mistake. CTF2.5 isn’t built for really doing any sort of complex games that might require multiple global objects or things of that nature. It’s very very limited. Not only that but it’s like 300 dollars for the full edition. Like no man fuck that. I decided that in order to prevent other kids from wasting their time learning such a dumb engine that’s hard to pirate and unreasonably expensive, I would remake UCN for it to act as an open source fangame template.

BUILDING THE AI

So when I was first figuring out how to make AI for FNaF games, like back when I was on Clickteam, I came up with this: (rng.randi_range(2/(Global.animatronic), 4/(Global.animatronic)) And it works fine. Except... it doesn’t go from 1-20, it went from 0.01 to 0.20. I found later that this gave super wild results as some characters wouldn’t be able to move for upwards of 300 seconds on level 1 which is just downright silly. I then changed it to 0.11-0.30. As of now, it works just fine. I can change the range depending on the animatronic along with whatever specific calculations they may need.

This has a few implications. Whereas there is a small chance of animatronics failing movement opportunities repeatedly keeping them in place for long periods of time, this new AI calculation for some characters will guarantee that they will ALWAYS move within a specific time range.

MAKING ANIMATRONIC MECHANICS AND BEHAVIORS

Freddy was quite easy to get going as was Chica. A bit of a stumper for a moment was Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica. At first, I just had them go into your office until they reached a hard coordinate and if the mask wasn’t on in time, they would kill you. This movement was also scripted in the code itself. This worked but it was just a tad cumbersome. I decided to update this to have them move to a coordinate object that I could freely move around without needing to update the code to. But their movement would continue to be scripted. It wasn’t until recently I realized that I have animation tools in Godot which means that I can now animate this process!

I basically did the same for Toy Chica and the rest was history! BB and JJ are pretty unremarkable although they were both annoying to do as well. I also used these new animation tricks on them.

Mangle wasn’t too bad to program- at first. She required a new system to be added, the vent snare system. To be fully frank, I’m not quite sure how the map was animated in UCN. Did he update position manually for each phase she moved in depending on the path? Maybe? I hope not. What I did is that I animated out his path with keyframes and then for each time his timer ran out, his phase was updated and that also updated what frame of the animation he was on.

A look at the animation and Mangle’s code.

The main thing towards the end is that I wasn’t quite sure how to make it so Mangle knew which snare was active. I could’ve probably made some code about it but I wanted to try something a bit outside of the box. Mangle has raycasts attached to her. When those raycasts come into contact with an area collision shape, he’ll check if it’s specifically a snare or the “freedom” object. If it’s a snare, she’ll go back to the start and decide on what path he wants to take to get back to you. If she touches the freedom object, she’ll find herself in your office.

“Just hangin’ out!”

Before I move to the next bit I want it to be clear that I wasted like 30 minutes to an hour on trying to fix a bug with Mangle’s vent animations not playing properly. The way that I set it up is that everytime their phase is updated, the animation player will seek a certain point in the animation that corresponds with this. Since the animation was set to 1FPS, that means that phase 1 will go to frame one and so on. But I didn’t change the other animations to 1FPS. So that caused some uhhh. Issues. Haha.

A NEW PERSPECTIVE?

Give love and kisses to this handsome fellow. Without this guy I wouldn’t have the proper office effect quite yet. For some reason, in Clickteam, this effect lags games hard. It seems to be much more optimized in Godot. Due to this, there may not need to be any performance settings for a while. I’ll likely still have to include them anyways but man it’s nice to get some good frames.

MISCELLANEOUS CHANGES TOO SMALL FOR SECTIONS

Destroying animatronics: In order to save on resources when running the game during a hectic night, animatronics are straight up destroyed on the start of the night when their AI is set to zero. This means that they’ll all still be loaded and checked through at the start of a night however so this is mostly for long term performance. A way to load in ONLY the necessary animatronics at the start of the night to help performance in general is being looked into.

Dynamic audio: Some audio within the game now changes volume automatically depending on where it’s located. Previously I believe this was done by hand via code (something like, if in office, set the volume of music box to 0). Now due to the new engine, the game will handle this by itself without any coding being needed.

Music box additions: “Metal Scratchin’ (Sonic Rush)” has been added to the lineup of music that can be chosen at random.

WRAPPING UP

While I disagree with Scott’s political views and morals, working on this project has made me sympathize with him more as a game dev. If you wondered why a lot of the UCN enemies feel like random garbage, there are two reasons

Game design reasons. There would be way too much mental stack and stress from each animatronic having a counter that requires multiple steps.

Making some of these systems really fucking suck and it’s easier to make clones of characters or guys who don’t really do much.

Even though I’m not making a brand new game, some of the changes I’ve implemented bring out inherent changes in how UCN functions which means the design of the game has also severely changed. This is on top of whatever liberties I’m taking as well. Game development is hard man. But it doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be a good template. This likely will not be a 100% recreation of UCN down to it’s easter eggs and extras but it’ll give new devs an idea!

Sagau x Fnaf. Oh boy--

Well fnaf: security breach, that just dragged me by the feet back to my old fnaf phase-

So here you go, a random idea of a reader/darling from FNAF: security breach.

To the ones who havent seen or played Security breach, there will be slight spoilers on the true ending so please play the game or watch someone play it before reading. You've been warned!

So how this au works is this is going to be based on "Street kid Gregory".

Both you and Gregory grew up homeless and used the pizzaplex as a shelter until you two got stuck inside and the regular thing continues with you stealing a line here and there or guiding Gregory.

This will be based on the true ending with some changes such as repairing everyone after freeing Vanessa, this is also based on some of the stories where Gregory stays with the glamrock animatronics. By the time that happens you have already started playing genshin impact.

In the acolytes view, whoever you control (aka, whoever is in your team) can see a faint silhouette of you with them. Their God walking amongst them.

But theres someone else. Someone controlling other people

Soon, Albedo and Lisa find a way to hack your camera to view what you do and who the heck that other person is as they can slightly hear you and that person laugh or have some muffled conversation (aka, you and Gregory laughing your butts off at so many things like glitches or watching Pallad suffer)

Then they see someone else. Someone with brown hair and a blue shirt.

"Gregory i swear if you push me off with Jean one more time i will not help you with Azdaha."

"ok ok i wont."

On Jean's side, she again, pushes off one of their Divine one's vessels. And hears:

"GOD DANG IT GREGORY IM GOING TO KILL YOU."

"WAIT WAIT IM SORRY"

Then hears laughing. Huh, she really wonders who that "Gregory" is.

-----(Ok quick thing this will be reverse isekai)

"Ah, Gregory, [name]! Theres some people near your room. Do you perhaps know them from your school? Are they your teachers?" You hear Freddy on both of your Fazwatches. Wait who was at the door?! Did Freddy forget your homeschooled?1

You see, the acolytes found a way to your world and sent people (specifically, you and Gregory's teams) to explore it. You and Gregory, being kids with now a slight fear of pounding doors because of roxy and monty (they're still kind of guilty), jump when you hear the door pound.

"Your Grace! Are you there?!"

Who tf--

When you open the door your acolytes are shocked to say the least. Their God. was a KID.

So again, they're shocked, once telling them "...I was always a kid wdym" They think it made some sense. I mean, both you and gregory were bullying each other in game using Jean, who is still confused.

Looks like they have lots to learn.

Ok Im back from listening to all of the songs u recommended forgive me in advance bc this is kinda long but I decided to comment on all the songs individually 😭

I can't fix you - I feel like Sister Location was the first game to mostly give the lore upfront and not make people do research ? Like you still might have to but it's more direct than the other games like with the marionette I had no idea what the deal was til I looked it up 😭 I've heard it before and I downloaded it years ago but I still absolutely love it the lyrics and the voice 🙏🏻 the way it gets kinda quiet and sad but then goes back to being louder and aggressive 👌 I'm abt to go play it on loop lmao

I got no time - I really like this one, if I remember correctly some people say it's probably about the crying child and it probably is which makes it sadder I felt so bad for him

Five more nights - Omg I remember when I first saw Balloon Boy I thought he was so cute ☺️ then he turned into that monstrosity lmaoo I remember when I was first going through my fnaf phase I watched this one vid (not this song btw) but every time he showed up youtube would crash and it was just ??? I also had no idea what Marionette's relevance was until I did some research and found out it was Henry's daughter's spirit that possesses it and it sounds sad bc Marionette was made to protect her as far as I'm aware going by the canon voice lines and theories, I like the fact that they put both the discarded versions of the animatronics and the new ones! Kinda weird that they removed Chica's beak when she's a literal chicken but whatever 😭 phone guy omg the memories..."they get a bit quirky at night" 💀

The Bonnie song - I really liked it tbh I like the newer versions of the animatronics (like in Sister Location and Security Breach) but at the same time I feel like the old ones gave it a much creepier vibe bc they didn't have the same shine ? It's a good song the broken Bonnie (idk what it's called) reminds me of a toilet seat 👩🏻‍🦯 I'm kinda upset they didn't have Bonnie or Foxy in SB bc I loved them so much a few years ago 😭

OMG SAME idk the old animatronics just … scared me alot 😢😢 thats why i didnt slept for the whole night because of freddy fnaf behind my back when i’m taking food from the fridge NIOO or or when i go pee 😓 dont fnaf on me i beg of u. PLSS THE BONNIE TOILET NOOOJDGW😭 i thought the same aswell no wonder i kept laughing ok i feel bad now 💔 so mean.. AND TRUE NOOOOO yk i was so happy to see bonnie again when i saw bonnie bowl in the trailer… just to not see him at all?????? cried so hard. where’s my oomf bonnie and foxy..😢 foxy would fit in the daycare theatre tbh because how he is a pirate and like. was made to entertain aswell since the beginning??? so not including him was ☹️☹️ crying

STUPID NOSTALGIC RANT YOU MAY SKIP IF YOU WANT:

So I decided to go on a little nostalgic trip because I just saw someone saying that some FNAF songs go well with Spinel. I thought to myself that this was true because the children’s souls were trapped in the animatronics and they were abandoned for such a long time. Spinel was abandoned for such a long time in the garden and she wanted revenge just like the children did.

There I am listening to the songs and just before FNAF 1’s song by The Living Tombstone comes on, I legit felt like crying. Why? Because I liked fnaf for sooo long when I was younger. I was probably 13 or 14 at the time when I started to watch youtubers play it (never was able to play it except for on my phone) and I fell in love with it. Now I’m 18 and I’m a freshman in college. I never usually liked spooky stuff but this was different for some strange reason. I made a fan account on Instagram and I was obsessed with it. I loved Foxy and he was my favorite because I related to him plus he was cool looking. I felt lonely a lot like how he was on pirate cove all alone. I shared my obsession with my friend and I remember calling her Balloon Boy for absolutely no reason. I was foxy and she was balloon boy. I remember making stories for it that were so bad but that became my other passion that is still true today. I like writing my own stuff now it’s fun to be creative. I had internet friends and it got me through middle school up until my freshman year of high school. I’m an introvert (plus I literally have a social disability aka Asperger’s but I’m highly functioning ayye) so this shit was perfect for me. I could be myself online and say whatever I wanted and nobody knew it was me unless I told them (I hated telling my friend. I was embarrassed). It was my own little paradise where I could rant about theories or sing the songs made with complete strangers. Idk if it was healthy.

Then my mom found out about the insta account and banned me from having fandom related stuff. I remember it was summer and we were at our family beach house in NJ and she just looked so disappointed in me. She asked if that was really me. If I really swore, hated myself, liked a fucking animatronic fox. I said maybe it is. I grew out of that. I moved on but I still had my obsessions. At the same time, I liked SU, mlp, and miraculous ladybug. I was a multi fandom orgy that was ugly. I feel like I won’t get out of this loop of liking things like this. I still like SU now and I got back into it cause of the movie. I go through phases where I like Bendy, Cuphead, spiderman (still love him) and working out (I mean that’s normal but I’m obsessed I hate myself and my body).

How do you grow out of this stuff. It’s a wormhole. I’m literally doing the same thing like last time. I made this tumblr like I made the insta account. I made my archive of our own account like the insta account. I’m never going to escape my weird obsessions. I feel like I’m always going backwards (Tame Impala anyone?)

Sorry to make this sound depressing but it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I know you wanna see memes.

He's near completely blind, with his right eye missing and his left eye extremely blurry. Sometimes he has a bad day with his vision and can't see at all.

Technically, he's the second oldest in the main group of ghost kids (that being him, Charlie, and the MCI kids). Evan just looks on par with most of the other kids younger than him because he died at around the same age as them.

He's very upset he can't physically touch most things without phasing through them, poor little guy can't hug his plushies :(

Unlike the MCI kids, Evan prefers to move around outside of Golden Freddy/the old Fredbear animatronic. Ever since Charlie reminded him exactly what killed him, he doesn't like to be inside it. Plus it's way harder to teleport around without Cassidy there, so he's basically stuck in one place.

Him, Cassidy, and Fritz were (still technically are but Cassidy's not there) a three-kid friend group.

When Evan's finally at the house with Mike and the rest of the FNaF 6 gang, he's really confused because Elizabeth's greeting him by name. That's right, he completely forgot he had a sister. Evan immediately asked if she was adopted since she doesn't look like any of the family members he remembers.

The MCI Kids

Once again, there's a multi-character entry, so I'll color code it: pink for Susie, orange for Gabriel, red for Fritz, blue for Jeremy, and yellow for Cassidy.

Susie has/had a dog of course, but would never answer when asked which breed it was by the other children. The dog is a pitbull named Sprinkles, and she's actually really nice around kids. She just knows everyone's not going to react to it well.

She wasn't actually the first to gain control of her animatronic body, as everyone really just woke up at the same time. Susie was the first to die of the MCI though.

Gabriel is the only kid in the group not to ask what breed Susie's dog is, because she invited him over to meet Sprinkles. Sprinkles was very excited and tackled him so she could lick his face repeatedly.

He's Jeremy Fitzgerald's brother, not much to say other than that.

Fritz died while he was 9, putting him in third place of the oldest in the main ghost group. He thought he was in second until Charlie informed him that Evan died in 1983, not 1985, meaning he was actually older than him.

After Cassidy left, he became a lot more defensive of Evan. The other MCI kids were fine, but if anyone else came into the building he was watching them. This came to a head when Michael was checking out Golden Freddy while Evan was inside, and he got mauled by Foxy until Evan told him that was his brother. Luckily Mike has the molten soul metal on his side and recovered pretty quickly. Fritz was still a bit untrusting of Mike after ending up there (he does look like William again after all), but no one got hurt again after that.

Classic Bonnie gets his taste in puns from Jeremy, who's definitely a bit of a class clown. He made a ghost pun and Cassidy tried to beat his ass for it. (the same goes for the willingness to fight, basically the older animatronics gain sentience from being possessed and get little bits of personality from their ghost)

Jeremy and Gabriel didn't know each other before they died, but you wouldn't be able to tell (especially after years of them being friends).

Cassidy stuff mentioned in past posts: she was springlocked, is vocally mute as a ghost and talks with the glitchy floating text we all know and love.

Charlie actually waited for a few days after most of the murders happened because Cassidy wasn't dead yet. It wasn't a good situation for both of them, since a mercy killing by this point could be seen as hostility, but dying slowly like that isn't great either.

UCN of course happens, and that's where she is for a while after FNaF 6.
