5e [Neil Young Rabbit Hole] Lotta lotta seeds sprouting on this. The Crosby/Stills/Nash harmonies on Stephen Stills songs, Neil Young’s mixed impulses to sound pretty and play trashy raw electric leads and figure out a way to challenge a casual listener—“Broken Arrow” is almost a radio play. Also it features Native Americans in a symbolic way, another Neil Young seed. The whole thing is clearly Beatles influenced (the cover is even SgtPeppery, including the direct acknowledgement of heroes and influences this time in script instead of wax—and the last song is a pseudo-epic that begins with a fake crowd and rocking reprise of the first song on Side One JUST LIKE PEPPER yet the only Mop Top they name check is Ringo FOR WHATEVER REASON.... who knows, citing ‘cool’ influences has always been tricky)....anyway. “Good Time Boy” sounds like the older cousin of one of my favorite Beck songs, “Sexx Laws” off Midnite Vultures. By the way. 1. I used to think the laugh track/studio audience from TV sitcoms were the people in their houses watching the show too. Like an intercom haha! (When I was a kid)
2. I used to want to find naked men on TV/movies all the time when I was a kid. I was an advanced child haha
3. I do not like chocolate chip cookies and I'm not a vegan but my roommate buys vegan chocolate chip cookies and I like them a lot.
4. I've been to Italy 6 times and Ireland 14 (maybe more, I can't remember but it's close to that).
