The mystery of the man lost in time: Sergei Ponomarenko.
Sergei Ponomarenko was discovered wandering the streets of Kyiv on April 23, 2006. His attire seemed outdated, and he had a museum-worthy camera that appeared brand new. Adding to the mystery, his identity card labeled him as a Soviet citizen, despite its dissolution over a decade earlier.
Initially met with skepticism, Ponomarenko's claims gained credibility when he produced his camera, asserting that he had captured images from the 1950s. Astonishingly, upon developing the film, authorities verified the authenticity of the pictures, depicting Ponomarenko with an unidentified woman and what he claimed to be a UFO. According to his account, he had been transported into the future after snapping the photograph.
The mystery deepened when authorities delved into historical records and found a man with the same name reported missing in 1958. Intrigued by this revelation, they located his girlfriend, now in her 70s, who shockingly turned out to be the woman seen in the old photographs. She recounted how her boyfriend had vanished for a few days in the past before disappearing again in the 1970s. Even more baffling, she possessed a photograph of him as an older man, allegedly taken in the year 2050.
After consulting with a doctor, it appeared increasingly plausible that Ponomarenko's story was genuine, especially given his sudden disappearance in the middle of the night, leaving no trace behind.

absoluteskating: #MKJohnWilsonTrophy mixed zone highlights. Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko. A: An injury I sustained in 2015 gradually got worse over the years, until I had many opinions telling me I needed surgery. So it was about strategizing and finding the time to do it, as there’s not really a perfect time, we thought at the end of a quad it would be good to take that step back so we could take a few steps forward later. We had a very unique off season where we had to adapt. We put in a lot of work these last few months, and I think that shows. We’re really happy with the performance, and we want to carry on that momentum. (about Christina's US citizenship) C: I’ve had my green card for a while now, still waiting for the passport but it should be set for 2026. That’s all that matters! I live in the US, but we train in Canada, so I commute every day across the border. (about coaching team) C: We added Maddie Hubbell and Adrian Diaz to our coaching team, and all three of them (w/ Scott Moir) work so well together, they all bring something different, so together it's really the full package. They are all amazing. For me it's great to have Maddie because she’s a girl, so she can help me with the movements and show me how it's supposed to be done. It was always great working with Marie France in Montreal, but it's nice having someone with us every day. A: And being an American skater, she knows all of it. She has fun stories to tell. We’re very happy with our team, especially with the addition of Maddie and Adrian. Definitely gave us a boost of confidence. (about Anthony’s parents, 1992 Olympic ice dancing champions Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko) C: They get nervous! That’s why they’re not here! A: They get very nervous but they are supportive. They watch the event, and when we come on, they close the computer, and open it again after. Christina and Anthony finished fourth in Sheffield and are preparing for their second GP event, #GPEspoo. 📸: @tuerush

"Devastating strikes upon Russian command posts have become increasingly frequent since mid-June when Ukraine began using the first of four M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS, provided by the U.S., nearly a week before their arrival in Ukraine was publicly announced."
This is the sort of element that is often a part of our comments; that the promised weapon systems are already in-country by the time they're announced. Another factor is that more is being done than is being made public.
"Explosions continued for days. According to satellite images, the blasts created a destruction zone spanning some 500 meters around the epicenter. The site was one of Russia’s largest ammunition depots, built after Russian forces occupied the area in 2014." "An ammunition depot located near an airfield used by Russia’s forces continued detonating for days after the strike. Along with ammunition, Ukraine has also attacked a number of Russian command posts, transportation centers, and barracks, mainly in the occupied cities of Yasynuvata and Kadiivka (formerly Stakhanov)."
Breathtaking achievement! These and many more, performed by one of the greatest combination of fighting unit the world has seen in a long time; the Ukrainian soldier and his Western weapon!
"This suggests that, along with Western-made rocket systems, Ukraine has also managed to improve its reconnaissance, situational awareness, and target indication, to the point of being able to identify targets even of medium importance deep in Russian-occupied areas."
More Ukrainian ingenuity.
"The ongoing campaign in Donbas showed that artillery dominance compensates for the weak performance of Russia’s infantry."
That's about the core of Ukraine's problems; not their murdering, raping and thieving soldiers, but the shower of artillery shells.

Note
The British judge confused the heck out of me. Maybe they think that CPom are going to be a threat to F/G after the upcoming wave of retirements clear the field over the next few years and F/G will be the current highest ranking team left standing. But that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense because Z/K have buzz too. Maybe Sergei Ponomarenko looked at him the wrong way at a gala dinner once.
lol maybe so - or even weirder, it's not political, and this is their genuine opinion 🙃
