GUNDAM SCHWARZENEGGAR

Wait, hold on... let me check my notes... thats right! In a shocking twist... ANOTHER High Grade G-Witch kit is... really good! Boy who even woulda guessed it.

It does feel somewhat redundant these days, to just say how the quality of kits is, since basically all new designs are just gonna be good and solid. The people and the Gundam Base have been doing this for like 40 years, they're kind of a little good at it.

This kit's pre-release was so weird, and in general, they handled the g-witch kits... kind of weird, in terms of their pre-releases. They withheld pictures of the Schwarzette and Gundvolva's gund-arm active modes... but gave us pictures of the kits in general. BUT, they told us Schwarzette's name... but not Gundvolva's... even though the volva's were a massed produced machine that weren't relevant to the plot. It could have been virtually any mass machine that attacked the school with the earth witches. Schwarz on the other hand was a unique machine piloted by a named character, with a pivotal role in the final battle... Huh? So weird.

The Schwarz's gund-arm reveal though... fucking dope as shit. That was such an awesome giant robot moment in the show, and it really catapulted the overall design from being pretty alright to straight up banger. A machine's reveal can be a real important moment for it and they nailed it with the Schwarz.

Still can't stop thinking about all aspects of WFM, here's some speculation on what its theme might sound like (with an unrealistically optimistic tone with which I'm kidding myself by hoping for a happy ending)

THE TEMPEST - GUNDAM WITCH FROM MERCURY

- Caliban is the creature under the stone -

Caliban is the son of a witch who was the former owner of the island before Prospero's arrival. He even tries to abuse Prospero's daughter and then makes a union with his enemies to overthrow him. If they hadn't literally said the name of the character in the anime revealing him as a Gundam I would consider him to be the El5n who tried sometimes to abuse Suletta (the late El4n I still believe is Ceres, the original Elan I have no theory), and is technically created by a group that also has the concept of Witch.

Although the last episode hinted that Suletta will pilot Caliban and Lauda will pilot Schwarzette, I believe that El5n will steal Caliban to get his revenge on what they did to Norea and Suletta will become the official pilot of Schwarzette (Lauda may be the pilot him for a moment, but I wouldn't rule out him dying for not resisting the Gundam Curse). It's just a theory, but I've already got many theories wrong about this anime so who knows.

They really introduced this bad bitch with heels and a huge sword and wings and bisexual lights and made her pilot some random guy no one cares about and gave her less than two episodes of screentime
