Hobby journal : I haven't painted in 3 weeks ! 3 weeks ! And today was a very down day, but still managed to paint a bit. Started a freehand and decided to erase it. Gonna go a bit more subtle on the freehand, probably more engravings than painting on the armor. I think I'll also need to change a bit the forehead, make it lighter where it's green now. The pink hardly pops on the picture, it's quite a shame, maybe make it a bit more vivid ?

I painted some of these Dark Souls characters more vibrant and clean than I maybe should have given the vibe of the universe, but I had just gotten some new Scale75 paints. I fell into the layering trance since they were so nice and couldn't bear to oil wash them after. Anyways here's Ingward, Guardian of the Seal

Front 4 of my Games Workshop Fellgor Ravagers for kill team finished. Got the leader, three armed dude, gong-carrier and big mace dude done so far. Picked a slaanesh inspired pink-and-purple scheme. Almost feel the bases need a little more color, but even dulled a bit with the scale75 african flesh wash, I feel they're already bright, don't want too much more.

The next piece from a commission set for the team over at @dm.stash! Here is Gwynevel from the "Guardians of the Fey" Bundle, This one has a lot of elements that you have to bring together for it to work, there are vines everywhere! But they can't just be green or it would overcrowd it and not too much brown because it would be too flat, I also wanted to do the batches of flowers different colours to encompass the 'whole of nature' I think so far this one is my favourite! Did a little non metallic metal attempt on the loincloth using the NMM kit from Scale75, going to mess around with it some more to hopefully make it more convincing. Might do some black lining too so it pops out more

Spent the last few days chipping away at different parts of the model and making some great progress. Only a couple of details like the shoulder lamp and eye lens and to finish the silver parts on the hand.

The boots, holster and other leather pieces are kind of hard to photograph as it’s a dark, more textured look achieved via stippling and glazing it back down. Looks good in person, you’ll have to trust me on that.

Also, she marks the halfway point of the kill team, so woop woop!
