I always found it weird how Vanny is dubbed the "reluctant follower" yet judging from the way she moves around and talks, she seems anything but reluctant.

Now you could argue it's because of the brainwashing, and it probably is to some extent. But even after she's been set free, she still acts like a weirdo given how she leaves the player to die in HW2 and all the graffiti of her we see in Ruin. I find it hard to believe that Vanessa would ever want to go back there unless it's completely necessary, let alone wasting hours of her time spray painting the name of her murderous split personality all over the place. You can tell that she hated being there from the way she talks both in the main game of SB and in the hidden CD's.

GOD I hope Vanny is her own entity and not just the name used by Glitchtrap when he's controlling Vanessa or whatever. There's so much narrative potential, especially after the HW2 secret ending.

Wanna go down the redemption route? Well, then, you've got the reluctant follower deciding that murder, the very thing she was created for, is not something she wants to continue doing.

Wanna go down the villainous route? You've got the unfavored, spiteful apprentice becoming bigger and stronger than the wizard ever was, and crushing him like a bug in her hands.

And that's to say nothing about what can be done with GGY in this interpretation, since he'd be his own AI, too. Will he go with his sister, or will he stay with Glitchtrap, desperate to please his father, much like Elizabeth with William?

Hear me out, but:

Movie! Vanessa is leagues above Security Breach! Vanessa.

Movie! Vanessa absolutely slaps, she cares so much about what happened to the kids and about Abby’s safety. Whereas SB! Vanessa has no real personality, she’s just there to be some cheap jump scare.

However I would like to see Movie! Vanessa go down the road of SB! Vanessa where she looses herself and becomes Vanny, only to be brought back to Vanessa by Mike (in a friend way) and/or Abby.
