those mk & lloyd parallels got HANDS, any new thoughts on that or their interactions? (maybe save this ask till after the special, cuz uh... something occurs)

i hear you and i see you ok 😭😭 its just that these past 2 weeks have been incredibly busy for me and also lack of motivation 🫠

but i just got covid so perfect excuse to finally think about this 😭 problem is that i mightve forgotten alot about lmk at this point so bear with me 💀

i think this mightve been mentioned in like previous posts but lloyd and mk just training and like talking about life would be very special to meeeee!! id love to see how our 2 protags of east asian inspired lego shows would interact!! idk they could go get therapy together because they are both very messed up theyd ask each other to seek help and then say nooo im fiiinee, bonding over secretive mentors me thinks like why do they do they keep secrets all the time!!! like idk id love a swap au between these 2 they r very interesting to me.. also both of them getting betrayed suckss. they could learn somthing from each other like lloyd is more wise in like the master wu sorta way and i think mk could teach him to let loose a little.. also they can both go apeshit mode hehehehehe i think ive already mentioned this in like another ask

i think red son would remind lloyd alot of him when he was younger like idk they try so hard to be evil but they got that goodness in them yk 😔😔

i think that applies to kai in the hotheaded sense like hes grown so much since he was 15 and i think hed want to help red son in the way he helped wyldfyre as well

lloyd: so yeah my great grandma is like a dragon..??

nya: and i turned into a dragon once!!

mei: thats sooooo cool my great great great great great great thousand times great grandpa was a dragon too!! do you guys wanna see my dragon!!!!

*lloyd and nya expecting some tiny dragon like riyu or chompy*

and then mei whips out her totally cool kickass dragon and they are both in awe like teach me how to do that!!!!

im pretty sure sandy is the builder of the time right?? there are so many builder characters in ninjago like pixal, jay, nya, sora, zane and i think they could probably geek out about it hehe

zane probably also knows about jttw since he knows like everything about everything yk i think he would listen to tang talk about it zane's sweet like thattt and tang can finally talk to someone who knows the full story 😭

one time someone asked about morro and macaque and like i still dont really know how to answer that like theyve both died ig thats cool 😭 shared trauma on dying lol, and also they were both like evil at one point and i guess reflecting back on it theyve both been like what was it all really for

ive said this before and ill say it again jay, mk, mei and maybe wyldfyre would totally go do some dumb shit together and get in trouble together 😭

and thats all i have maybe i'll think up something in the future? who knows!

Mmmmmmmm okay-

The Alignment Swap isn’t even a Full AU, just some fun thoughts I played around with until I decided to give it all one home:

Jesse’s still the Elemental Master of Surprise, and the Fuchsia Ninja, but he’s got more of Olivia’s role of being in an extremely gray area: still kinda caring about the people he’s close to, but much more focused on furthering his own agenda. He deems himself “evil and unredeemable” after failing to save Miranda, and instead of “masking” himself as a hero, he “masks” himself as the villain he thinks he is. He embraces the more entertainer/trickster side of his personality that “canon” him tends to suppress when he’s not Fuchsia. Have you heard “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva? That’s his bad boy theme asdfghjk

Miranda still gets crushed by a building, but comes to the realization that she could just improve her whole body with mechanics instead of just half, thus she works on essentially turning herself into a Nindroid and tries to convince others to do the same (there’s also a bit more to this but that would cross into canon spoilers SO NOPE–) Just know she goes a little ‘evil scientist route’...and also blames Jesse for making her like this, especially when he confronts her about it.

Olivia, then, I guess takes on Jesse’s role as support for the Ninja, and instead of seeing the Elemental Compass as something to exploit, it becomes something to protect for her. She’s still part of the Shark Army, but works as a double agent instead (along the same lines as Bridget)

Aurora’s bitter about not inheriting the Element of Ice, and abuses her visions to manipulate others into doing what she wants, and instead makes it her life’s work to somehow steal it away from her father. This leads her to Julien to brainstorm an idea for how to do it. She does this in the form of creating a son that should–technically–steal it for her, and from there she could manipulate Zane into giving it up to her...but it backfires.

Harleigh...technically doesn’t really change personality-wise lmao, but instead of protesting her dad she sticks by his side the whole time and assists him with his schemes (which, still, is the opposite of what she’d actually want to be doing, technically).

Sunni basically just becomes Jay’s bully instead of his biggest fan cuz she feels jaded about being rejected asdfghjkhgfd

Meanwhile the Heartstopper AU is just a series of details/ideas that have been living in my mind rent free since April:

Cole has “Nick’s Life”, but he’s the one that was outed as gay (with people still pushing him to be with girls instead).

Jesse has “Charlie’s Life”, but he’s the one exploring his bisexuality (but absolutely definitely likes Cole, he knows for sure).

Miranda would be Tori but a younger sister (still popping up at random times to scare Jesse asdfghj that’s too perfect)

Kai and Skylor would be Tao and Elle (which I debated with myself for a very long time over it but the more I think about it the more I see it’s a GREAT fit, except Kai’s the one trying to “protect” Cole from Jesse snksnksnk)

And after much ado about nothing I have recently pinned Nya and Olivia as Tara and Darcy because when ELSE will I have an excuse to further explore that potential angle for their relationship??? Plus Kai and Nya still get to be siblings

Zane would be Issac and/or Aled, and I have no idea how I’d squeeze Lloyd and Jay into this but I’m ruminating (did play around with the idea of Lloyd as Issac, Zane as Aled who would eventually date a nonbinary Pixal, and Jay as Michael without potential shipping with Mira but ho hum we’ll see how far that gets)

I want Vania as Imogen. I must.

Chad’s Ben and Harry rolled up into one because I can’t feasibly give those roles to anyone else I love them too much hhhh (just this time around Cole would be the one that’s “old friends” with Chen instead of Kai I suppose while Chen is Jesse’s Ex)

Also ‘Want Me’ is like a flagship Aftershock song for me so there’s that

Anyway I do wanna doodle some of my ideas for these one day so be on the look out for that (such as Miranda constantly spooking Jesse, Cole giving Jesse the nickname ‘Jess’, Cole punching Chen (Yeah!!! YEAH!!!!), The Snow Day Scene, Cole carrying Jesse at the beach (AAAAAAA), and the First Kiss Scene *lies down*)

Like I said very guilty pleasure but my brain goes brrrr and I follow the hum

So im new to your blog I want to know all about your aus, but I don't want to scroll all the way back to the beginning of your blog do you have a easy way to look at all the stuff about the aus I really want to get caught up on everything

I made a post a while ago briefly talking about my au's but tumblr is dumb and lost it so I can't find it anymore.

I've been meaning to do a recap for my fusion au because it's the au I've put the most work into, so I'll probably make that sometime soon.

I can't really fo into a lot of detail for my other aus because there's a lot but I'll try my best to give a brief explanation for them.

So the fusion au is simple (on the surface at least) Elemental masters can fuse like in Steven Universe and there's different stories with them. I'll talk more about the stuff that happened in this au, but I will name off the fusions so you know who is who. Ridge is Cole and Jay, Swift is Kai and Zane, Fleet is Jay and Kai, Techtonic is Zane and Cole, Chip is Jay and Zane, and Vulcan is Cole and Kai.

The Bad Endings Au is another au on the more complicated side. It follows the Bad Ending Ninja who are all different versions of the ninja where they became evil. They all got sent to the main timeline and decided to team up and take out the normal ninja. I'm pretty sure I made a post somewhat recently that talks about how each of them became evil, so hopefully that helps.

All of my other aus I haven't posted about too much, so getting caught up on those shouldn't be too difficult.

The Roleswap au is exactly what it sounds like. The ninja are swapped with other characters (only the ninja are swapped btw) Kai, Nya and Skylor are all swapped in a sort of triangle swap, so Kai takes Nya's role, Nya takes Skylor's role, and Skylor takes Kai's role. Jay is swapped with Clancee, Zane is swapped with Cryptor, Cole is swapped with Morro, and Lloyd is swapped with Harumi.

Dragonblood au is basically a completely new story where the elemental masters are creatures called dragonbloods who can use powers and turn into dragons and they're also being hunted down by Garmadon. I don't think I've posted about this too much except for the fic I have on my ao3.

Weresnake au I've also been posting on my ao3 (which I plan on posting the next chapter todsy so hopefully I get around to that) Basically, Jay is a weresnake who sometimes turns into a feral snske creature and yeah. This au is one of my newer ones so I don't think there's too much on my tumblr about it yet.

Idk if my Next Gen stuff counts as an au but I'm putting it here anyway. Shayla and Tara are the daughters of Jay and Cole. Shayla is the new master of lightning and Tara is the master of Earth. Fallon is the son of Kai and Zane and the master of ice and he hangs out with Shayla and Tara and they help save Ninjago. They're also friends with a girl named Trixie who is the daughter of Pythor and my oc, Asashi. Trixie also helps them fight for Ninjago. I haven't gone into much with the fic I have planned for them yet.

I have a Pokemon au that I occasionally work on. It's pretty much just that they live in the Pokemon world. I haven't gone into a lot of detail with this one, mainly because drawing Pokemon is hard.

And I also have a Bad Ending Fusions au where it's just a crossover of the fusion and and bad endings au.

I know this was long, but hopefully this helped give a brief idea if what my au's are. If you have any questions about any of my au's you can go ahead and ask about them and I will probably answer.

AS LONG AS IM YELLING ABOUT AUS! GUESS WHAT LORE POST I FINISHED

LOUDLY AND OBNOXIOUSLY CLEARS THROAT.

This is a long post about Avatar and Ninjago and it mostly contains story!!! Because some! Of! This! Setup! Is! RIGHT there!!! And I like it very much. I’m sorry it doesn’t have many pictures! I do not control my right hand, but I do control how much I can yap about avatar and ninjago. READMOREではある

Our story begins with Kai and Nya, because they’re dramatic and I love them.

Kai and Nya are siblings, currently traveling on their own around the world with their not-actually-their-uncle-or-grandpa, Garmadon. Because Wu doesn’t get to be Iroh, even though I have to give up Garmadad for it — don’t worry he immediately adopts Lloyd once he meets him.

Kai and Nya used to live in the Fire Nation, emphasis on the used to, because while Kai is a firebender, Nya is a waterbender. She started displaying waterbending abilities at 12, and 12 is not a great age for control. And they could only have gotten the two distinct bending styles from their parents, blacksmiths in the royal courts, so in an act of political trash-fire-ness, Lord Chen finds this out thanks to royal jerkwad Clouse. You Know. Fire Lord Chen.

(Kai challenges him, in a fit of protective anger, to what is supposed to be a clean agni kai, but someone cheats. He actually can’t see all that well out of his right eye, anymore)

And Chen being who he is, he brands them all as traitors, presumably killing their parents, allowing the children only one lifeline to regain their honor (and home, and life, and—), and that’s to find the missing Avatar. You know, the one who’s been gone for a hundred years? Silly, impossible task, meant to get rid of them.

So they do.

Meanwhile, by which I mean a hundred years before this, Lloyd is happy. Really happy! Their temple is sweet and calm and brimming with life, he’s being taught by (his absolute favorite) the monk Wu, and he keeps being happy until he’s told, one day, the whole village is told, actually, that he is supposed to be this great and powerful being. This incredibly godlike human boy, with the power of destruction and creation at his fingertips, and though he doesn’t want to be, the title of Avatar is given to him and most everything else Is taken from him.

He’s scared, now. Mostly.

And you know the story — terrified of the choices made for him, of his own destiny, he traps himself by complete accident for a century, until…

Kai and Nya do find the Avatar. Traveling near the water tribes (dangerous, but theirs is not a fire nation ship)

And he’s… small. Admittedly.

Uuuuunlike his very large flying companion.

(Did I mention flying bison gets swapped with an energy dragon? Wind dragon? Very, very tied between naming the dragon Morro and naming her something less angry. Like Skittles :P)

Lloyd reminds Nya of a puppy. He reminds Kai that their entire lives hinge on bringing back (to his death) bringing (killing) this one, scrawny little kid. It’s so, so easy, and though they’re outwardly nice, they both know what has to be done. Until…

Listen.

Lloyd is made of light. He radiates power, sure, but he radiates confidence and happiness and surety and it will be okay and morning runs along the beach and warming up by the fireplace and… he… has this infuriating ability to shine straight through the cracks made of doubt in your heart.

Kai doesn’t think he can do it, after a while. After seeing how his life got torn apart, after getting one too many cautious smiles and getting into one too many silly and only slightly dangerous situations that end in a hug, of all things, the twins agree. There is no way they’re taking Lloyd back to the Fire Lord.

So they don’t.

The’re different. They’ve traveled, they’ve learned, Garmadon is so proud of their growth he takes them out to the best tea they’ve ever had (which is weird because Lloyd always thought it was just leaf water) and they think that maybe they have a purpose again.

They want to help Lloyd take down Lord Chen.

Along the way, they pick up a lot more stray puppies.

Jay’s not supposed to be in the Earth Kingdom, but there he is! They’d probably kill him if they ever found out he was a Fire Nation refugee, because that whole concept reeks of suspicious. Which is why he hardly ever bends (and when he does, it’s not firebending it’s lightningbending) and keeps his handy-dandy best friend earth bending buddy with him.

And Jay has wanted to do something about *gestures* … all this, for forever. Incredibly nervous and constantly fiddling with some sort of tiny contraption as he is, he’s willing to tag along with the group. He’s the one who convinces Cole, probably the only Earthbending teacher they’re going to find, to come with. Cole is very, very apprehensive, because this is very dangerous, particularly for… actually everyone in the party. This is just very very dangerous. But Cole always wants to help, and after some shenanigans, begins to teach the young Avatar earthbending.

So things are like! Great, right! You got all the elements. Except like… that’s it. That’s basically handing a kid a glock and telling them to murder this one specific dude but giving them no other info. Research would… be nice. Probably.

Lucky for everyone stumbling into this yokai library, Zane is a researcher! And not a teenager, though 20 is barely not-a-teenager territory. He’s been in the library for years real-time, a couple weeks to his perception, but he’s learned so much. And he actually doesn’t super want to leave until he realizes its a very dangerous time-sinky place to be, and he can always come back. Besides, he was always taught to help those who can’t help themselves, and helping save the whole world from the Fire Nation is kind of top of that list, huh! FRIEND: GAINED

(How convenient!)

And the SIX of them go off and have ADVENTURES and TRAVEL and DO ELEMENTAL THINGS and SOMEONE SHOULD BE BUMI BUT IDK WHO, and the mailman is the cabbage seller, and Skylor isn’t Azula even tho I love Azula Skylor is like more of a Mai character, but Pixal is there too, I haven’t figured too much out but anyways Garmadon is Iroh and that’s the only thing you need to know. Lol
