Napoli, Sangiuliano e ambasciatore americano Markell al Mann e al San Carlo. Il Ministro della Cultura, Gennaro Sangiuliano, ieri a Napoli per inaugurare la mostra "Tolkien. Uomo, Professore, Autore", ha effettuato una visita privata al Mann - Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, con l’ambasciatore degli Stati Uniti d’America in Italia, Jack Markell. Il Ministro e l’ambasciatore, accompagnati dalle rispettive consorti e insieme ai Direttori generali Musei e Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio del MiC, Massimo Osanna e Luigi La Rocca, hanno ammirato, tra l'altro, la collezione Farnese, la sezione Campania Romana e la mostra “Gli dei ritornano - I Bronzi di San Casciano”, da poco inaugurata al Mann, dopo essere stata al Quirinale, e dove resterà aperta fino al prossimo 30 giugno. A seguire, nel primo pomeriggio, Sangiuliano e Markell, hanno fatto visita al Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. Accolti nel Palco reale dal Direttore generale del San Carlo, Emmanuela Spedaliere, si sono recati dietro le quinte e nei laboratori di sartoria per salutare lavoratrici e lavoratori. Tutte le maestranze del Teatro di San Carlo hanno espresso grande compiacimento per l’incontro con il Ministro e l'ambasciatore i quali, dopo i palchi di Rossini e Donizetti, hanno raggiunto il palcoscenico godendone la straordinaria prospettiva solitamente riservata agli artisti. NAPOLI: IL MUSEO DELLA MODA APRE ALLA SARTORIA MASCHILE CON LA PRIMA PERMANENTE DEDICATA IN ITALIA

Cesare Attolini, Domenico Caraceni, Ugo Cilento, Kiton, Maurizio Marinella, Mariano Rubinacci: saranno loro, con le loro creazioni, i primi protagonisti della nuova area museale dedicata dalla Fondazione Mondragone alla Sartoria Maschile, un cui primo “assaggio” sarà proposto domani 4 novembre a partire dalle 17 nel corso della preview organizzata presso la sede del Museo della Moda in piazzetta Mondragone a Napoli. Accolti da commissario straordinario della fondazione Maria D’Elia, converseranno quindi insieme a Cristina Cennamo il vicepresidente di Sistema Moda Italia Carlo Palmieri e gli imprenditori Ugo Cilento, Maurizio Marinella e Mariano Rubinacci. E’ prevista la partecipazione del presidente della Regione Campania Vincenzo De Luca. “Il Museo della Moda di Napoli – spiega Maria D’Elia – intende avviare così un nuovo percorso che vedrà un’intera ala, quella del terzo piano, dedicata a quello che è verosimilmente il simbolo dell’artigianato napoletano nel mondo, riconosciuto da sempre come sinonimo di eleganza e qualità. Quella che presenteremo una piccola capsule di venti capi, donati dagli stessi imprenditori che terranno a battesimo la nuova sezione. Ma a breve si arricchirà di molti altri pezzi che fanno già parte del patrimonio museale della Fondazione o che attendiamo da altre donazioni”. Tra i pezzi esposti, anche un completo di Caraceni creato appositamente per Gianni Agnelli, datato 7 settembre del 1943 e realizzato in pura lana inglese. Mentre Cilento, dal canto suo, ha già allestito due vetrine che saranno esposte all’ingresso. La ristrutturazione dell’ala è stata resa possibile dall’utilizzo di fondi POC – annualità 2021, con i seguenti obiettivi : conferire visibilità scenica a manufatti rappresentativi della sartoria maschile partenopea, a supporto di una sua ulteriore valorizzazione, all’insegna del rapporto dialettico esistente tra tradizione e contemporaneità; utilizzare un approccio artistico ed espositivo – curatoriale nuovo al fine di offrire opportunità di studio e ricerca ai target scolastico e universitario, oltre agli addetti ai lavori; diversificare l’offerta turistica del museo della moda; diversificare l’offerta turistica al fine di accrescere il potenziale attrattivo del luogo anche in riferimento alle collaborazioni con associazioni culturali presenti sul territorio di riferimento; stimolare la realizzazione di cluster, seminari, incontri di approfondimento, workshop ed esperienze laboratoriali brevi al fine di conoscere i dettagli tecnico sartoriali che impreziosiscono gli esemplari tessili di manifattura pregevolissima.

The ultimate mens style uniform- I was watching one of my favorite childhood movies-Trading Places.. There was the scene where Eddie Murphy, now rich, invites his friends over to his new abode..needless to say that experiment did not end well.. but his attire in that scene, blue blazer and gray slacks, was classically elegant.. that sartorial scene inspired this fit from last week.. it brings to the foray, how simple, yet smashing and elegant the mens style uniform-blue blazer/gray slacks mix, is..My style is subtle..rarely the one for loud patterns, or wild colors, I find pleasure in the simplicity of cut and overall aesthetics..maybe its the middle age in me..I have many variations of blue blazers in different colors.. What I felt I was lacking in the blue blazer department was a a DB.. I had searched high and low and was thinking about commissioning one until this navy hop sack fell into my lap from Suit Supply last year.. I wear it a lot to meetings and I love the look..the shirt is from Eton and Ive used it many fits.. the tie is from Sartoria Partenopea Napoli and its 4.2 inches width and 7 fold pairs wonderfully with these large batwing lapels..The pocket square is a linen/silk number from Drakes..the slacks are from Canali and the shoes are from Silvano Sassetti.. an Italian shoe maker that makes a new style of good year welted shoes who had a run making Ralph Lauren Purple Labels shoes for a bit.. anyways, what I wore last week for a day in the office. BLAZER: suit supply (havana traveler)..SHIRT: eton..TIE: sartoria partenopea napoli..PANTS: canali..SHOES: silvano sassetti..PS: drakes..WATCH: oris automatic..LAPEL PIN: nordstrom

That Zegna 3 piece is EXACTLY the reason I'm even bothering with posting this images Think hard...over your entire life...how many other Zegna 3 pieces have you seen...anywhere...ever? 2? Maybe 3? Midas touch or a personal client. I've personally thrifted 1, and I've Purchased 1, thus this is the 3rd I've been in possession of. That is probably the same amount of 3 piece suits the release annually. They simply do not exist....unnllleesss you are at a level of client that is able to receive certain items that never even hit the sales floor. Because this did not, plucked from one truck, placed on another. You'll find Vicuña blends before you thrift an even relatively recent or wearable Zegna 3 piece suit, but best of luck. And yea I think I must at least mention that Brioni 3 piece, cuz look at that thing, there's a reason why it's hanging in my closet and not currently currency in my bank account....The Zegna...well I just was gonna let another slip through my fingers.... And Kiton always all Ca$h...composition and 100% of their final state of existence to me...love the wool suits, not a fan of the Ca$h blazers....Sartoria Partenopea all day...

The charcoal gray suit.. its a three piece that I use as a two piece a lot... This was for work and I went conservative with a splash of color.. the white shirt, dark solid suit and the captoe shoes are all hallmarks of a very conservative fit..where I fit some fun in was with the pocket square and tie..its a way to say Im serious about my business but we could have some fun..I like to do that from time to time and it works well for me.. what do you guys think?
