Hello there! I am you swtor secret Santa come to ask some questions! I have found your oc blog and read through it. I would love to know who your fav swtor oc is? (Or if you have multiple fav’s). Second I would love to know more about your ocs partners/lover interests if possible :D

Favorite SWTOR OC:

Good question, at least out of the list I've got probably four who each hold a special place in my heart. Shesali; this gal here is my Jedi Consular who is tied with my JK for most loved and least shown off, sister of my Sith Inquisitor and wife of my Jedi Knight. Her love interest really only ends up being Shim whenever I talk about her. Shim Leedes; this gentleman is the aforementioned Jedi Knight, like I said, tied with Shesali for the most love and the least "screentime." They're kind of a package deal because neither of them have canon love interests, I figured their story was tragic enough to leave it at that. Although Shim did have a thing with Ranna Tao'ven when he was in the Jedi Academy. Kairous Sancar; seen here is my Agent, his main love interest is Raina Temple. I love him dearly, probably just above the previous two because the Agent story line is so good to me, even if the main antagonist has a very unfortunate name for me.

And the classic, my baby boy who I'm always so open to loving with all my heart, Dahay Dunbor. He's the classic, he's my first SWTOR toon, the one I've gotten the furthest in the story with, and he's been oh so dear to my heart since the beginning. His main love interest is Lana Beniko, because my main love interest (in SWTOR) is Lana Beniko.

Mavi & Sancar • I'll Follow You

This is in response to an ask sent to me by my SWTOR Secret Santa, but tumblr burned the ask and the first draft, so I had to rewrite it all.

The gist of the ask being "What is Dahay and Lana's relationship like, and what is the relationship between Kairous and Dahay?"

Dahay and Lana's relationship initially started as a mutually beneficial workplace relationship, Dahay was openly willing to work with people other than Sith lords and didn't have the excessive greed of every other dark councilman/ high level Sith. Lana (and to a degree at that point, Darth Arlous) needed somebody capable and powerful who wasn't going to fuck everything up chasing glory and personal power. As time progressed and Arkous' betrayal came about, Rishi with the spy work and subterfuge to take out the Revanites, then eventually Ziost and that final battle against the Eternal Empire pre-KotXX, the mutually beneficial relationship turned to a respect/admiration/dedication on either side. Dahay always knew if he needed something more geared towards political maneuvering and secrecy then he could rely on Lana (even if she was working directly under Marr, if I remember correctly.) And Lana knew if she needed somebody with in-depth knowledge of rituals and secrets then Dahay was the person to go to. Marr's relationship with Dahay as them being the only two legitimately capable Sith on the Council also helped matters a fair bit since if one of them ever needed help from the other, it was a simple enough process to have Marr okay it.

As time passed and everything from Ziost to the final battle against the Eternal Fleet pre-KotXX, their relationship shifted to a mutual admiration and eventually an unspoken passion that neither of them truly knew how to/dared to talk about. Lana was in charge of Sith Intelligence and Dahay was a member of the Dark Council. Even RIshi and Yavin, where they actually expressed some sort of feelings for one another, it was more of an impassioned celebration that they had defeated their adversaries. When Dahay and Marr were both captured by the Eternal Empire, however, Lana had five years to reconcile with her emotions and could properly understand just how she felt about him. While Dahay was on ice (carbon) though, it dips more into headcanon territory. The visions of Vitiate/Valkorian/Tenebrae showing him all of his dead companions may have been one part of it, but the real kicker is what Valkorian was trying to get out of Dahay. He couldn’t use fanatical levels of nationalism or a lust for power like he might be able to with other Sith (or how he does with Dahay’s sister Shesali in the AU where Valkorian possesses her instead), because Dahay wasn’t quite the same. But one thing Valkorian knew all too well was the power that love for another person could have over somebody, and in five years of poking at Dahay’s brain trying to whittle him down to accept the deal, he eventually learns of Dahay’s feelings for Lana. Cue the next several years of Valkorian hammering in the point of being able to do all of this, use all of Valkorian’s power for Lana, where he thought he would be able to make some headway. Instead he gave Dahay several years to understand his feelings for Lana, strengthening his resolve against using Valkorian’s power because Dahay knew the kind of sway a force ghost in his head could have over his actions and his thoughts. (You know, like the Force Ghosts of ancient dead Sith that he stuffed in his brain a few years back during the class story.)

So when Dahay finally comes out of the Carbonite, he is able to express his love for Lana with confidence, if not probably a bad choice of location. They make it a point that once they take down Arcann and Vaylin, they can get married assuming both of them still live. From there they are very much two individuals in love with one another, understanding that each has their own responsibilities; Dahay as the Alliance Commander and Lana as head of Alliance Intelligence now. They don’t let their feelings get in the way of their duties, but there were arguably some times where they went a little further than they probably would for anybody else in order to keep one another alive. Following HK’s death during that battle with Arcann was one such situation where they tested themselves, Lana knowing she couldn’t just run in and start swinging on Arcann, and Dahay having to once again spurn Valkorian and his powers because he knew that he wouldn’t take the defeat lying down.

As for Dahay and Karious’ relationship, these two actually have one of the most fleshed out relationships between any two of my OCs.

Dahay, there’s been a lot of his story so far, so we’ll go from Kairous’ perspective. Kairous, Cipher Nine, was the posterboy of a loyal Imperial Citizen and a model Intelligence Agent. His attitude towards the Sith though was, less than favorable. Young, not as smart as he could have been, he was openly advocating against Sith intervention of Imperial Intelligence when Darth Jadus took over their operations. Never would he question the Empire’s orders, but he always had it in his head that individual Sith, or Sith acting not as part of the council, were exclusively in it for their own personal gain. This caused them to put him in under the Castellan Restraints. Through his story as he discovered the restraints (thanks to the help of Watcher X’s ghost thing that I headcanon as being a sort of engram of his personality stored in databanks in the spinal implant, knowing what was likely going to happen ahead of time when dealing with Intelligence’s rising star.) and eventually overcame them/reprogrammed himself to accept orders only from his own mind. He maintained that he despised working for the Empire, and would have defected to the Republic SIS before he even knew about the restraints, but thanks to the SIS overusing his restraints to try and control him even though he was very willing to jump ship to their side, he decided that he didn’t want to work with any major political faction. Thanks to the black box from Hunter and the Star Cabal, he got his wish and resigned from Imperial Intelligence/Sith Intelligence to become an information broker/crime lord instead.

Now during his time with the Empire, the SIS, and the travels of Kairous and Krew, he worked on occasion with an up and coming Sith named Lord Kallig, who then would go on to be Darth Occlus (Dahay Dunbor). They had crossed paths numerous times before, and what was initially respect from Kairous as Dahay seemed almost altruistic by Sith standards, Kairous could have faith that at least this one was out for the betterment of the Empire and not just himself. As Kairous fell away from the Empire, he started working with Dahay more regularly, and Ilum and Makeb were the two instances where Kairous realized Dahay was using the systems of the Empire against the injustices and shortcomings, not in favor of maintaining the status quo of oppression and corruption that had plagued it for goodness knows how long. Dahay’s understanding and acceptance of Malgus’ ideals, if not his methods, and Dahay’s aversion to slavery (I.E. Castellan Restraints) because of his own background as a slave to another Sith lord earlier in life, Kairous maintained a connection to the Empire as a contractor for Dahay exclusively.

Come post-KotXX and Kairous having worked privately apart from the Empire for five years, in service of several rebellions against the Eternal Empire, when he learned from Lana of Dahay’s escape from Zakuul he joined up with the Alliance on the condition that his direct superior would be Dahay alone, and his resources would belong to the Alliance. Dahay and Kairous are probably the closest thing to best friends that any of my OCs have with one another, everybody else being related by blood or marriage (Shesali and Shim respectively) or semi-likeminded individuals who despise the Eternal Empire more than they hate the respective “enemy” factions.

The only bit of notable friction between the two is when Dahay decides to bring the Alliance back to the Empire as the Emperor’s Hand, with Kairous initially grifting against the idea before a discussion with Dahay brought back the idea of trying to reform the Empire. (While Shim Leedes and a few of the other OCs maintain the leadership of Zakuul in Dahay’s absence, keeping the former Eternal Empire far away from the renewed Galactic War.) (Side note, Dahay also wanted his shit back that had been stolen from him while he was out for five years, and you bet your sweet ass he’s killed or at least attacked Darth Anathel several times because “I want my chair back.” When in reality it’s just that he doesn’t want his resources and his power base being misused by what he views as a “Self-Righteous sycophant, only in it for personal power instead of the betterment of the Empire and the galaxy at large.”)
