~S u p e r n a t u r a l~ CasxReader: “Crazy In Love”

IMAGINE: After risking their lives for a mysterious piece of clay, Sam, Dean, and (y/n) get a call that something happened to Cas at the hospital (s7 e21).

“Well, c’mon Meg! Give us more details! Can you at least tell me if he’s ok?... What do you mean you don’t know?” Sam angrily spoke into the phone and (y/n) and Dean exchanged scared looks as they anxiously waited to hear about the news of their best friend. Approximately an hour before all of this stress and anxiety appeared the Winchester brothers and their closest companion (y/n) Singer were hiding out in an old, abandoned jail staring at the block of clay that lay on the dust covered table.

“So what I’m getting from this is… we risked our lives for a lump of clay?” Sam looked at the girl and shrugged with a reply, “There’s gotta be more to it than just that. I mean, the Leviathans were treating it like Dean treats his car!”

“Hey!” Dean snapped. “Don’t judge me.” Sam just rolled his eyes while (y/n) continued to think aloud. “Maybe there's something inside?” This earned an odd look from Dean and she huffed in frustration. “Wha- Well I don’t know! I’m running out of ideas. That’s all I’ve got goin’ on up here unless one of you can think of something better.” Sam and Dean shared a look then shrugged. “Worth a shot.”

Dean grabbed a hammer and Sam grabbed 3 pairs of goggles, handing them out to each person. After making sure everyone had their protective eyewear on, Dean brought the hammer up into the air and struck hard on the block of clay. The moment the hammer hit the clay, causing pieces to fly everywhere, a crack of lightning, a quick rumbling of thunder was heard, and the rusty building shook for a second. The three looked at one another without speaking a word and Dean soon continued on again. Once again, he struck the clay with the hammer and thunder rumbled and the building shook. “Um is it just me or is-”

“Ya,” Sam cut in, interrupting (y/n). “That’s not normal.” Dean debated whether or not he should continue. Whatever is in this block of clay was important enough that Leviathans were willing to sacrifice their lives for it. This could be something to end the apocalypse and put a stop to the death of mankind forever. With that, Dean repeated the actions of striking the clay with the hammer despite the loud thunder, bright lightning, and violent shaking of the building.

Eventually everything went quiet and all the clay was completely gone. (y/n) opened her eyes and released her tight grip on Sam’s arm while Dean let out a long breath that he didn’t even realize he was holding. The three stare down at what used to be a big pile of nothing and what now appeared to be a tablet. The tablet had golden writings or etching in it but neither one of them could make out what it was saying. It looked as if it were written in another language.

Before any of them could say one word, Dean received an urgent call from Meg that something had happened to Castiel back at the hospital and told them to meet her there ASAP. So that's what they did. Dean stuffed the tablet in a duffle bag and they got into the impala and drove off.

After they arrive at the hospital and sneak past a few security guards, Sam, Dean, and (y/n) finally make it to the door of Castiel’s hospital room, where Meg stands chewing her finger nails and pacing back and forth. She heard multiple footsteps and looked at the group with a sigh of relief. “It took you long enough. He’s in here.” Meg opened the door and nodded her head, giving them the ‘ok’ to step inside. They walk in and see Cas staring out the window. “Hey, Cas?” The angel slowly turns around, faces them, and replies with a short “Hello, Dean.”

Castiel looks at Sam and smiles softly. “Sam,” he says with a short nod. “Hey, Castiel.” Cas’s eyes move from the tall man to the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. That’s (y/n) Singer. Of course he has met her before. She is the daughter of Bobby Singer and an old friend of the Winchester family. She was there when Cas first connected with Dean and the taller brother and ever since then he has had feelings for her that he, as an angelic and Godly being, couldn’t quite comprehend.

To a regular human being this was a natural thing, but Cas has never experienced anything like what he experiences when he’s around her. When she flashes her perfect pearly white smile at him, he can’t help but stop mid sentence and stare at her and her beautiful eyes. When she accidentally brushes his shoulder as they pass each other or touches his shoulder as she speaks softly to him or takes his hand for comfort, his face turns color and his stomach feels like he just swallowed a bunch of butterflies. And her laugh… oh her laugh… how it makes him wish he could listen to it forever. The way she scrunches up her nose as she projects this beautiful human noise from her perfect lips makes the corners of his mouth turn up slightly in a way he isn’t all too familiar with. Cas has no idea what was happening to him. If anything, he thought he was sick. But a regular human being would classify that as love. Cas was in love with (y/n).

Cas struggled to find the right words to say as he approached her and stuttered an awkward, “Hello, (y/n).” The girl fought the urge to throw herself onto him and wrap her arms around his neck, breathing in his comforting scent as she embraced him in a big hug. Instead she put a smile on her worried face and spoke to him in the soft, calming tone that he was very fond of. “Cas.” They stared at each other for a while until Dean awkwardly cleared his throat to break some of the tension. “Look at you, walking and talking. That’s great right?”

Cas forcefully peeled his eyes away from the goddess before him and looked at Dean with a goofy smile on his face. The angel approached the oldest Winchester with his pointer finger towards him. “Pull my finger.” Dean looked from the outstretched finger to Cas with a very confused look on his face. “I’m sorry. What?”

“My finger,” Cas explained. “Pull it.” Dean stood there awkwardly for a moment before gripping Castiel’s finger. Cas raised his eyebrows at him as he waited for Dean to pull his finger and sure enough he did. The moment Dean did as he was told, all the lights in the room bursted and everyone jumped at the sudden noise. All of the shattered glass fell to the ground and the group stared at Cas in disbelief as he giggled to himself.

“So let me get this straight. You said you remember who you are? What are you?”

“Yes of course,” Cas replied. He then gasped and turned around as if he were reminded of something he meant to say a while ago. “Outside today in the garden I followed a honeybee. I saw the welt of flowers. It was all right there! The whole plan! There’s nothing to add.” (y/n) quirked an eyebrow as she watched his gorgeous blue eyes twinkle with excitement like he just got finished riding a roller coaster or running a marathon.

“And he’s been like this for how long?”

“He’s been like that naked guy at the raver ever since he woke up. Totally useless.” Meg replied and the girl just nodded her head in response. “Well, Cas, how are you feeling? Do you feel any different from before?” Cas looked to (y/n) with a look of adoration as he spoke, “Would you just look at her. My caretaker.” The brothers looked to (y/n) with questioning looks as she gave the same look to the clueless angel in front of her. “All of that thorny pain. So beautiful.”

“You’re crazy.”

“Crazy in love,” Cas said, sighing contently as he continued to stare at her sweetly. Of course (y/n) was flattered by this sudden affection from the angel she’s been crushing on since she first laid eyes on him, but he is obviously not in his normal Cas-like state. For all she knows this could all just be a misunderstanding and when (or if) they get him back to normal he wouldn’t even remember saying those things. After giving out long, awkward hugs and sharing random fun facts about cat penises, Cas revealed how exactly he became like this and that the tablet was The Word of God. “Ok well what does it say?” Cas crossed his arms and stuck out his lip. “No.”

“What the- Cas how old are you? Just read the friggin’ tablet!” Dean yelled frustrated.

“No.”

“Cas I swear on everything sacred if you don’t read this tablet right now so help me i will-”

“ Cas,” (y/n) spoke, cutting Dean off. Cas uncrossed his arms and straightened his posture as his facial features softened.

“Yes, my love?”

“Will you please try your hardest to read this tablet? It is very important that we find out what this says. You may even help save the world if you dooo,” (y/n) bribed, singing the last part. When Cas didn’t respond she pushed a little more. “Please, Cas? It would mean the world. Can you do it for me?” She ran a hand down his arm gently as she batted her eyelashes. Cas was sure his knees were going to give out on him any second now. He grabbed her hand off of his arm and clasped it tight with both of his hands, tucking the tablet under his arm. “I would do anything for you (y/n).

Cas held up the tablet and stared blankly at it for a while. Dean began to grow impatient. “Well?” Cas cleared his throat as he began an attempt in interpreting. “Uhhhh tree…” he looked around at everyone for a second. When no one responded and continued to stare at him, obviously expecting more information, he looked back to the tablet and continued. “Horse. Fiddler crab. I can’t read it. It wasn’t meant for angels.”

“Alright,” Meg cuts in. “This all sounds bad. What are you two idiots doing with the word of God? Let me see that thing.” She takes a step towards Castiel but is stopped when Dean tells her to back off. “C’mon Dean. It’s my life on the line too.” Cas froze and stared at the ground uncomfortably with wide eyes. “I said. Back. Off. Meg.”

“Dang it enough of this ‘demons are second class citizens’ crap!” Cas suddenly cut in saying “Don’t like conflict” and teleported out of the room, letting the tablet drop to the ground and break into 3 pieces. “What the h*ll was that?” Meg just scoffed and crossed her arms. “You heard him. He doesn’t like conflict.” She flashed a cocky smile causing Dean’s jaw to clench and his hands to ball into fists.

“You know what? We don’t have time for this crap. (y/n), you deal with the tablet, Sam, you do research on how to read this friggin’ thing, and I’ll go talk to Cas.”

“Actually, Dean.” (y/n) cut in making Dean stop at the doorway and look at her. “Maybe I should go with you to talk to Cas. You and him do have a special bond but I have a strong feeling that the little amount of patience you have isn’t going to be enough at the moment.” Sam and Meg chuckled slightly but Dean ignored them. “Ya I guess you’re right. Alright. You come with me. Sam, will you please pick up the… “Word of God”? And do not let that demon get the tablet.” Sam looked at Meg awkwardly and shrugged and she rolled her eyes in annoyance.

After finding Cas in the main room sitting quietly at a table, Dean sat in front of him and tried to talk to him while they played a game of “SORRY!”, requested by the lost angel himself. “Alright, Cas, where can we find this ‘Metatron’ guy? Is he even still alive?”

“I-I’m sorry. I believe you have to go back to start.” (y/n) giggled, earning a glare from the oldest Winchester, making her cover it up with a cough. Dean looked at the board game in front of them on the table where Cas was pointing and begrudgingly moved one of his pieces back to start like instructed. He then proceeded in his attempt to reason with the angel. “Cas, this is important.” Cas once again pointed to the board, signalling that it was now Dean’s turn to pick up a card from the stack that was located in the middle of the board.

Dean angrily picked up a card, read it in his head, threw it down, and moved his piece to where the card told him to. “I think Metatron could stop a lot of bad. Do you understand?” (y/n) could tell he was growing angry and very impatient with Cas. She quietly stood against the wall, watching anxiously. “We live in a sorry universe.” Cas held up a card that said ‘SORRY’ on it and continued to explain.

“It is engineered to create conflict. I mean, why should I prosper from your misfortune?” When he spoke he moved pieces around where they belonged and carried on as if he were simply talking about the weather versus the end of the world as we know it. There was no concern or emotion or feeling in his voice as he talked- whereas Dean and (y/n) held on to every word he said as they listened intently. “But these are the rules. I didn’t make them.”

“You made some of them. When you tried to become God. When you cut that hole in the wall.”

“Dean…” The two sat there looking at each other for a while before Cas continued. “It’s your move.” At this Dean slammed his hand on the board game and swiped it off the table forcefully. “Forget the damn game!” Cas looked down at his lap meekly and (y/n) took this as her que to intervene. “Dean! Woah, woah it’s ok. Calm down.” She put a hand on his arm, soothingly rubbing up and down making Cas stare. His mood quickly changed from shy to jealous as he watched (y/n) comfort Dean instead of him. Dean shook his head and stormed off leaving (y/n) and Cas alone. (y/n) took the seat Dean had previously been sitting in and looked to Cas with desperate eyes. Cas took notice of this and sat up straight with his hands folded on the table, giving her his undivided attention.

“Let's forget the game for one second. Is that ok with you?” Cas cutely looked to the side for a moment as he thought about the answer then nodded his head. (y/n) couldn’t help but smile at him. Although he wasn’t his true self right now she couldn’t help but notice how helpless and adorable he was being. He looked like a lost puppy. “Is there any way at all that you can help us?” Cas sadly shook his head and replied, “I’m sorry (y/n). I really am.” She could hear the sincerity in his voice. “It’s not your fault, Castiel.” He noticed her slumped shoulders and sad expression and thought of ways to try and cheer her up.

“M-Maybe when this whole thing is over with I can take you to a park.” (y/n) laughed making Cas’s cheeks heat up. “The park?”

“Ummm yes? Wait, no. I meant to say the strip club. Or was it the bar?”

“Cas, what are you talking about?” she giggled. “Well, quite some time ago Dean told me that if I liked a girl I should take her out somewhere. That and to wear protection, which is why I bring my angel blade everywhere I go,” Cas stated as a matter of factly and (y/n)’s eyes went wide as she attempted to hold back a laugh. “But it appears to me that I’ve forgotten where exactly I’m supposed to take you.”

“Wait a second. You like me?”

“Duh,” Cas chuckled and snorted as if she had told him a funny joke. “(y/n), I have been very fond of you since the day we met. Over the years you’ve made me feel things that I'm sure no angelic being has ever had the opportunity to experience. At first I was scared I was becoming ill with all the odd sensations in my stomach when you’d laugh or the muscle pains in my cheeks from smiling so much when you’d speak to me or even my face getting hot when you’d accidentally touch my shoulder. But after getting some professional advice from Dean I realized that I am truly in love with you.”

(y/n) had no idea what to say. She couldn’t believe that the angel she had fallen for after all these years had confessed to being in love with her. “Well in that case, maybe you’d like to take me to the ‘Bow Tie Bar’ right down the street here sometime.” Cas looked up, surprised that she accepted his invitation and nodded quickly. He was like a kid in a candy store. “Alright then. It’s a date.” A big smile made its way to Cas’s face along with a red tint to his cheeks. “D-Date. Right. Yes.” (y/n) laughed at his nervous stuttering and they sat in a comfortable silence for a moment. She then watched as his smile slowly faded and his eyebrows knitted together in confusion. “Um, (y/n)?”

“Yes, Castiel?”

“Why exactly does the bar have a bow tie?”

Unpopular Opinion: VLD S7 was Brilliant

I love season seven.

Major spoiler warning if you haven't seen it (or S6) yet.

I am unashamed to say it. I finally got a chance to finish watching it this weekend, and Holy Hannah, the game has changed. Each and every episode (minus "The Feud", of course) was dedicated to re-building the universe around a new order caused by the culmination of events of season six, and sacrificing the Castle of Lions.

The Castle's destruction meant that something big was coming. Change was on the horizon and inevitable as the sunrise itself. And something big did happen. The paladins have never been on such a level of cohesion. Yes, they came a long way from a rag-tag group of cadets scrambled on short notice; but not everyone was on the same page. And they had all just gotten off an immense emotional roller coaster (Season 6), of course tensions would be high. But opening up is not the easiest thing for anyone, let alone a secretive techie, an insecure flirt, a temperamental lone wolf, and a person who literally lost their entire world and then some. Being pushed to the brink of insanity brought out a lot, hopefully put some skeletons to rest. And as a result of this pushing, they are beginning to exceed their predecessors.

Now, Earth was going to become a player in the conflict proper sooner or later, and people, specifically Galaxy Garrison personnel, dying on the front-lines was inescapable. Who died, died because they followed orders like good soldiers, and died a soldier's death. And that's just the military. Who knows how many civilians lost their lives in the first wave alone? Death follows war, no matter who fights, who doesn’t, who wins, or who loses. And Commander Holt's return and the Garrison's reaction was also handled as realistically as an Earth post World War III would. With the utmost caution, even with evidence of an intergalactic war staring them right in the face. As depicted, humans can be quite dense, stubborn, and sometimes just want to be right no matter what. Hence the following of protocol in spite of being told that protocol would be utterly ineffective in the face of highly advanced alien war technologies. (People needlessly took Ion Canon Fire to the face, in Earth tech-only crafts, those pilots dead. Good job Sanda)

And Hunk's arc, that was beautiful. We finally see what we haven't truly noticed for six seasons. That Hunk is a braveheart. It takes courage to admit fear. And a whole lot more to face it in spite of that. Hunk has freely admitted to being realistically afraid of dangers that any normal human being would cower in fear from at the very sight of. But in spite of that, when push came to shove he has always been willing to go into danger and join the fight. Would Hunk rather not be a hero on the front-line? Definitely. But who among the living would be willing to sacrifice their life at a moment's notice? Certainly not me. Hunk has always been a hero, this season just let him shine.

And then there's the IGF-Atlas. Oh sweet Lord, the Atlas. An amazing blend of Altean, Glaran, Advanced Earth technologies, all (possibly) fused together by Olkari technique. Then to be powered by the Castle-Crystal from S6, oh what a trip. And it makes sense that a crystal made from dozens of collapsing blackholes, several quintessence rifts and the explosion of a magitech Altean vessel and the Battle-class Balmeran crystal inside it, would be powerful enough power and upgrade the Atlas; in spite of its size. And its particle barrier was so strong it actually withstood sustained fire from SIX Zaiforge cannons. The Castle of Lions would have never survived that. Though, to be completely fair, after 10,000 years of inactivity, the Castle was probably past peak operation, or even just "rusty" from disuse.

And then Shiro. Beautiful Shiro. Our beloved Space Dad. The one who led the Atlas crew effortlessly; who snuck into a fortified Galran Battle Cruiser; who -- during his infiltration -- left complete sentry carnage in his wake, got into the power core, blew it up, snuck back out, and -- after all that -- fought and held his own against Sendak on the top of said Battle Cruiser crashing at terminal velocity, after having his soul/consciousness transferred from within the Black Lion into a clone body; that same Shiro, some-way, somehow (I'm still speculating the specifics of how) turned the Atlas, an already epic Battle Cruiser, into a giant mecha more than twice the size Voltron itself. As if it already wasn't cool enough.

Other high points for me were when Shiro quietly, politely, cut Lance though for a crack about forgetting something after all he's been through, and Hunk and Romelle sharing concerns for the team's general cavalier attitude to danger. And of course Coleen Holt. Full stop. She needs no explanation.

Full disclosure: I went into this season with my own fears and reservations. But I have to thank and congratulate the writers, producers, storyboarders, directors, artists, and of course, the voice actors for all their hard work on this masterpiece. It's been over twelve hours since I've finished watching it, and as I write this, my heart still isn't beating the same way it did before. And for a work of fiction to do that, to invigorate me like that is nothing less than inspiring. As a writer, I want to do for others as this season, and Voltron: Legendary Defender has done for me as a whole. To open up the imagination of my audience and immerse them in a different reality entirely. And they've done it in spite of bullying, hate, threats, and general harassment. I admire their strength for it. I don't know how I would've survived under fire and still bring my A-Game like that, if I were in such a position.

To wrap up: this season was wonderful, and I wait with bated breath for the next one.

I’m back ! :D

Hey everyone ! I’m back and I finally marathoned s7 ! What a ride !!!!

I loved it. We’re at that part of the story where we finally get answers to our questions, some that we’ve been having since sooo long. And it feels so good (even when the answers hurt ; still closure !).

I loved the development for the story, and for the characters, they all grew so much ?! Including side characters getting really cool arks ? There is such a HUGE cast now, and everyone is so interesting and gets their moments ?!

I was really on the edge of my sit the entire season. The stakes were really high, and it was also such an emotional roller-coaster omg.

For now, let me just go back to all my questions and hopes for this season !

Because so much were met, I’m so happy !!!

And... let’s put that under a read more, because it is LONG.

Here are just quotes from that post I made about what I was excited for in s7 (it was before SDCC and any trailer / articles etc, based on s6 only (and that one quote from Kimberley Brooks) :

So much has changed, with new members on the team (Krolia, Romelle), Keith back, Shiro back in his own way : everyone will have to reconnect a little / find their place.

They totally did, it was particularly explored in “The journey within” where they finally talked about and worked through a lot of stuff, but we saw it in the entire season ! I really like that they got to discuss some stuff like the impact of Keith leaving, and Keith questioning their friendship. Also, reconnecting / bonding with Galaxy Garrison characters as well ! And even bonding more with their lions !!!

Specially, what’s going to happen with Shiro ? We’ve had this thing with the White Lion, and Josh Keaton’s latest answer at Florida Supercon makes about Kuron and Shiro makes me really curious. And will Shiro get a new altean or olkari arm ?

Wow, I loved Shiro’s development, he was so amazing. I was right to trust the show writers when everyone was freaking out about him not piloting a lion anymore. And he did get an altean arm !!!

edit - OH ! I forgott to add him being canonically mlm and chronically ill ? Blew my mind ?! I loved it. It feels the SDCC was so long ago already, but it is, indeed, s7 content too !!!!

No Castle ship anymore, so the whole journey will have very different vibes I’m sure. Longer journey, less distractions, everyone in their respective lions… Kind of hoping for a bit of a roadmovie vibe maybe ?

Oh, absolutely. Loved the little slice of life moments. That part with “who goes in which lion and what do we do with the pets” was so cute lol.

Will the “long sleep” spoiler Kimberley let slip happen then ? Will they need to go in cryosleep for the journey ? Or is it something else entirely ?

Sooo... was it about the time skip between s6 and s7 ? It didn’t feel like them sleeping...

Going back to Earth, how will that turn out ? Will they have prepared for the wars thanks to Sam’s warning ? Will the Galaxy Garrison have attempted to silence Sam ? Is Colleen up to something ? How will Earth react to Voltron and the War in general ? Will Earth already be under attack or become under attack ? I suspect Sendak has that in mind or will think of it soon !

Weeeell. Yes they prepared, yes the Garrison attempted to silence Sam, yes Colleen absolutely got involved, yes Earth got under attack, and yes, it was Sendak’s doing !!!

And in what time frame will they come to Earth ? They have been travelling through space and we know time can do weird things. I didn’t think they would necessarily take it into account in VLD, but Keith’s and Krolia’s experience in the Quantum Abyss show they are not afraid to do it. I’m a bit worried they come home a long, long time after leaving, that could lead to some big angst for those with families back on Earth (*squints at the Garrison Trio*). But yeah big question about what Earth will be up to when they come back !

They totally did that... There was indeed a timeskip, even if it was about them being in the rift more than theory of relativity.

At least it wasn’t as bad as I feared - I was scared they would come centuries late and their families would be long gone. We still did some family angst for Hunk and it killed me. Loved the family reunions for Lance and Pidge though.

What will be going on with the Galra Empire ? They are without Emperor again. Will Haggar somehow take the lead ? What is Haggar up to after Oriande, regaining more and more of her memories… Will someone else step up ? Will Lotor be back sooner than expected ? (Come on, I don’t believe he’s dead).

Will we hear again about the other realities ? In s6 Lotor sounded a lot like those Alteans for the other reality, and he was in the Rift…

We don’t know anything yet, aside from the Galra Empire still being divided, but what we discovered at the very end is a big clue. That mecha could be either Lotor’s doing (either with the Colony or with the alternate reality Alteans), or Haggar’s (as she knows now about the Colony through Kuron). The robots attacks being reminiscent of the Komar, I think it might be Haggar’s doing.

I expect this to be a major plot point in s8.

Oh, and what will Lotor’s generals do NOW ? Poor girls are in quite a situation here.

Oh wow I SO loved their character development ? Ezor and Zethryd were total badasses. Also, is it just me or were there major hints at them being in a relationship ?! I know I ship it !

And Acxa ?! Totally getting a redemption ark ?! I was so happy to see her and Keith fight side by side and support each other ? I’m so proud of her. Apparently she does seem to have a crush on Keith, aww. I suspect it is unrequited but he does respect her. Well, the future will tell us.

(I did spent the rest of the season going “where is Acxa ?!” though. I guess this is for s8. I’m getting very curious, because if we didn’t get answers so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if something major is coming this way. Joining the Blades or the Rebels, maybe ?).

What were the Rebels and the Blades up to during S6 ? How did they react to Voltron siding with Lotor ?

Aaaaah ! ;___; I will come back to talk about this, but I knew the Blades and Rebels would be exposed. It still broke my heart to hear about it. And quiznack !!! Voltron writers, did you have to toy with my fear for Kolivan ?!!! I’ve been worried for him since s2. I really thought this was it for him. I’m so glad he survived !

(yeah this is what worried me. Same for the entire Coalition. I’ll come back about this).

OMG more specifically I’d die to see some kind of reunion between Kolivan, Krolia and Keith. My hopes aren’t too high but DAMN. Kolivan sent them on a mission and didn’t get news of them for who knows how long, I bet he’s super worried, if he doesn’t believe them to be dead.

What about the altean colony ?! Of course Allura and Coran will want to visit. And Romelle has yet to tell them the horrible truth, hasn’t she ? And OMG as it was pointed out, Haggar knows about them now, oh I’m so worried…

Well, as I said above, this seems to be the next big thing in s8... I fear the worst.

But when Allura introduced him to his lion, she said “As the leg of Voltron, you will lift the team up and hold them together.” I kind of hoped… he would be more open to the others. I mean, he cares, no doubt about that ; it’s telling, how emotional he got when Keith left. But he doesn’t seem to spend time and talk with his teammates that aren’t Lance or Pidge. He even seem to have bonded more with Matt than with Shiro, Keith or Allura, despite knowing him for a considerably shorter time. Which, again, I get : they have a lot in common. But it’s kind of telling that he stays with people within his comfort zone, and doesn’t seem to reach out that much to others ?

We see Lance evolving and finding his place as emotional support for the team, but Hunk is a leg too and… I think he still has room to improve ? Maybe it’s something he still has to learn and that we will see in the future ? I’d like that.

He shone so bright in “The journey within” ?! ;___; I loved him calming everyone down. Even staying completely unfazed and positive when Keith snaps at him and calls him a coward. And when Keith attempted to leave and he just grabbed his ankle and went “NO !”... I might have squeed a little. :3

Other stuff that I wished for and I got (even if I don’t necessarily made posts on it):

Keith and Shiro keeping saving each other and holding each other. More insight about their past ! Keith calling Krolia “mom” and them hugging ! Keith and Krolia mourning Keith’s father ! Romelle bonding with the team ! Positive interactions between Keith and Lance ! AND THAT KEITH & HUNK BONDING HAAAAA I wanted it since the Weblum episode and it was so good. Keith and Pidge teaming up. Getting to know Lance’s family ! (I so love Veronica !). Flashbacks for Hunk’s family !!! Cute Pidge and Lance interactions ! More space wolf shenanigans, and we get to know his name (it was so endearing that Keith just wanted to wait until he would tell him !). SHAY COMING BACK TO HUNK !!! I had given up hope on that one after so long. More allurance cute moments.

I’m probably forgetting some stuff but...yeah. What a good season.

s9 filming spoilers and speculations..... TWD RANTS

Timejump-capital /twd parade pics and Caryl-the skybound thing, & other-richonne. (this post is meh and confusing)

k so writing this long weird speculation and thoughts-post. I wanna like move on from the show. Like as usual it’s on hiatus ykno? But the s8 finale messed me up so much. And I wonder a lot about Carol and the ships. Unanswered questions. I guess I’m saying I’m gonna rant a lot...or I go big in this post.

Now we’re getting filming spoilers. bits and pieces but s9 premiere is a big deal like because of the time jump. The time jump changes the story a lot right? So... just from spoilery things, I realized, it’s hitting me a lot that it’s so 50/50 on me for if I still like the show or not (with timejump, ships, different showrunner/writings, and who knows how TWD ends).

I really don’t like how 50/50 that is. So shock value way? Anyways, this hiatus I guess is gonna be a really big roller coaster ride. :\ I feel more doubtful than hopeful about s9. ....I just want Carol to be in character (the way i see it) and I want Carol (anyone) to interact with team family more. Idk if I can trust the writers during the hiatus with some bits of spoilers because some arcs start off frustrating and end well. It’s like I also have to wait till they film the finale to know if I wanna watch s9. or it’s like I wait till s10 for an arc to end. Idk I’m bummed that it’s at that point for me to decide to quit or not. sigh stories.

Yeah so this reminds me of s8, where the biggest change to the show happened with Carl’s death for me and the fandom. So I(and like most people too apparently...show is still going) keep watching TWD because Carl’s death doesn’t bother me that much, I feel the writing is still fine, and I see it as Rick’s show. So ..idk what im saying. I just think if they screw up Carol’s character and her interactions, then I feel it’s pointless to keep watching the show. I want charactery bonds, interesting arcs, and parallels. I know TWD can still be fine, but s8′s bad finale ep made me doubtful on the writing (or editing...there were good deleted scenes in s8 finale).

Time jump

Wow those pics of the cast at the capital and on horses. “twd parade” The pics also tells a lot or so what 9x01 will be like/time jump. It’s overwhelming. It got me excited and then I worry the show will suck and mess up my faves.

The time jump in 9x01 looked like not like Carl’s dream/5 years(?) where Rick had a cane, white hair, 6 yo Judy, and Negan gardening with TF. This time jump in s9 so far looked like one year went by. Also looked like the characters got one thing changed on them. Rick-short hair, Carol-hat, Jesus-manbun, etc.so it’s like it’s not that much of a time jump.

Oh man, I can’t help it but I want to compare TWD and The 100. (They’re different ofc, one’s pace is fast and more violent/survival-like. It’s also like it’s ok to watch more than one show even tho one is better or whatever. It’s frustrating tho T100 have way more interactions/girl power.) Both current survival-shows. Right now, The 100 just had a six year time jump(I think) and TWD in s9 there will be a time jump too. So The 100′s current season, I really liked how they did set up the time jump and informing us how the characters are doing and see the changes in them and their looks. Even their previous season, there was a good understanding foreshadowing to the time jump plot. ...TWD didn’t, I mean Idk why, it’s like easy writing they should’ve done..to keep fans interested to what’s next on the show. I noticed in The 100, is that there were flashbacks and bottled/centered episodes. It’s also quick but partly because The 100 have a short season too and the writers want to focus on the upcoming different plot.

Anyways, so now that I think it’s been like a year later in TWD story. My theories are like everywhere and changed. I’m also like being an annoying comic fan..wants to be exact way but it’s a show and they can remix stuff. Whatever, we all want good stories! It’s kinda following the comics like usual. ok. Time jump and whisperers are coming. Idk why, I’m really excited for ‘old man Rick’ hair cut and horses, when I’m like wtf Rick’s curls tho. lol Also just..9 seasons...and do I still like the show and will I like what’s next based on comics? (I actually figured AOW in s7-8 would be boring or come off different in the show. It’s all battle scenes and comics goes quicker..Idk I figured it would be boring but I think the war story on show and comics did alright. It wasn’t like a boring action movie that I see most of the time with action movies :P So I think this arc in s9 people will like this. More charactery stuff, well based from the comics. But we don’t have Carl and Maggie(for certain)?... Yeah usual tv flaws.)

So, I think it’s just one year later and that’s it. Also, I don’t mind seeing flashbacks and bottle episodes, as long it’s done well and entertaining. I think in s9 bottle episodes are needed.

So since I think it’s one year later, then we probably get the same Judith girl in s8, as 3 yo?, Hershel Jr as -months old, and I don’t think there will be a Richonne-baby...unless Michonne got pregnant right after the war and Hershel Jr and Richonne-baby are about the same age.

Skybound mailbag/Caryl/ E&Z

I read some speculations and from C/E shippers, just to get more info on Carol. (I gotta stop that. I’ll know about Carol when I do and they’re really anti-Caryl. It’s annoying. ugh ship wars.) I realized from the spoilery pics and speculations, I just don’t want Carol with anyone or C/E in s9/s9A. I just want to know what’s up with Carol again. Unless Carol being with E is a very minor thing. Like in The 100 show where two times fans suddenly learn Bellamy has a gf. There was a time jump and the relationship’s build up and being canon was all offscreen. The relationship didn’t last or some other thing important was gonna happen. I just want to know what’s Carol’s thinking and feeling. Idk I just feel if C/E happens,I just feel like Idk Carol anymore. :\ Idk what Caryl is anymore. They’re best friends (crushes) right...and still is? I really don’t like in s8 finale where Carol didn’t talk to any TF member/Daryl about why she wants to stay at Kingdom. Just any moment to see TF knows too. Also, Idk if Daryl is staying at ASZ or Hilltop and does Rick knows Daryl doesn’t agree with his decision on Negan.

‘If C/E happens like a - a surprise ship in s9. I find it bad writing because they didn't set it up in s8 or should add more romantic tone in it and obviously put a C/E moment in the finale. But they didn't. So..bad writing. Or just idk maybe it's for plot reasons (E’s death). Maybe there will be a love triangle? It makes Carol out of character or strange for me. Who/What does Carol care about and why? Idk.

It’s also something that TWD has to do too...from s8 finale and time jump/season premiere it means s9 premier ep gotta be a very well written episode to explain to everything and well reasons. But man...the s8 finale was so wacky and frustrating. It made me lose hope on the writers. I did like s8B but wow finale wtf. And finale is important ep of the seasons..and also it was before the big time jump. sigh. //It reminds me something, it’s kind of TWD’s style or Gimple’s, that premieres are more important than finales. So I hope s9 premiere is good. So yeah if Caryl is just gonna be friends and also just gonna like nod at each other like they don't have that special (continuity) bond anymore. Then that show is over for me. It's also not Caryl’s connections too, I miss Carol’s connections with Team family so much! OMG just looking at Carol and Rick edits, I just sigh.. I know some don't like their relationship. But I like theirs and they got that history, interesting dynamic. I don't wanna see Carol and Rick like they're just acquaintances now. (um like remember their history and trying to save Sophia. etc.) I want Carol or anyone to interact and be team family. The show gotta focus on their main characters and interact them. Too many side characters...too many separations.’

Once I thought about this idea, I’m like gaaah I really hope TWD does this. I really want and hope Rick have these moments to remember Carl by and to do it every season. I really like this idea I have where Rick could write a letter to Carl or talk to Carl’s grave in every season premier/finale. It’s something that merge the old TWD and the new TWD story...even though it’s Rick’s show, it’s still a father and son show.

Richonne!

I have some speculations and thoughts. I just wanna say that I hope Richonne in s9 is more interesting than comic R&A in the comics in the point of the story. Just be like on the show, power couple and all. I really like how in s8 finale, they were like co-leaders. Together. Idk I’m curious how Richonne will go in s9 and on. It’s seems real different than in the comics/R&A are doing.

So, in the comics, Andrea was like focusing on protecting Carl and co-leading etc. and then she dies at the end of Whisperer war. I find her death and end of her journey boring and disappointing. So Idk, I hope Michonne’s journey is interesting and I have no clue how this comic-Michonne and/or Andrea remix thing works out since Carol is using comic-Michonne’s too. %) Anyways, so I don’t think Michonne will die like comic-Andrea because tv-Carl got the death. After the Andrea’s death, Rick bonded and grieved with Mikey (Carl’s friend) while Carl is at Hilltop adulting. From the comics, I felt like Kirkman wished he had Rick and Andrea to have a child together but he didn’t so he got Mikey more into the story and w/Rick. So I’m like maybe we will get a Richonne-baby? But, then I also thought maybe Judith is like comic-Mikey. Grimes 2.0 grieving and missing Carl. So yeah.. I’m suspecting Richonne won’t have child together or at least in s9. From the twd parade pics, Idk, I don’t think there will be a baby. I really hope they do someday though.

Another thing is, I really want Judith to call Michonne “Mom” and Rick to point out to people that Michonne is his wife.

So yeah, roller coaster.
