My babies ... I can't believe it's over. I remember watching the OurSkyy2 trailer and wondering who those high school kids were only to promptly dismiss them because "how could I, an adult on the doorstep of 30, possibly enjoy and relate to a sweet, teen love story?"
They sure made me eat my words. Well ... some of my words. I did enjoy this little gem of a show, but I was right in saying that I couldn't relate — teen Rae bless her heart lived a different life. However, my inability to relate opened the door to healing and left me with a feeling of catharsis which was definitely NOT on my bingo card for this show.
Although these wholesome, cavity-inducing moments never existed for teen Rae, she now knows that they could've been a possibility. That dark, definitive void is now set alight with embers of hope and for that, her and I are eternally grateful.
