Someone once told me that she doesn’t think I should get a medal if I run only a 5k. I dedicate this medal to you. Despite Mother Nature intervening, I am so proud of not stopping despite my body saying so. I want the world to support each other despite our differences. If you see someone struggling at the gym or on their run, we should empower each other instead of bashing them. You never know what that person is going through. Longest training #run to date is done! I first dubbed this the Titanic Run because I calculated that I would finish around the total running time of the '1997 box office giant' (3hr 15min). I did finish within under time, but the title means so much more now after how I felt when it was over... At first, the run felt awesome, I was "on top of the world!". Slowly I settled into a rhythm and then got cocky/impulsive and tried new routes... Got off course and lost focus and then it HIT ME... HARD.... crashed and sank slowly. Fortunately I had a much better ending. Weird how it all came into a different perspective...
