Did Rufus hear about any of this? How did he react?

(for those who don't remember, Rufus is Clay's Dad, an OC)

Apollo: Yeah, he was actually contacted when Clay was rushed to the hospital. He's helped out as much as he can. For the first couple of weeks he actually stayed with us and made meals. He's been a great help. He's kind of a brash man, but he loves his son, me and Klav too.

“Isn’t this where we first met, Terran?” Even now, Terran could hear Rufus’s voice as clear as if it was right beside him. Somehow, being here in the desert reminded him of that day east of Hoelbrak. Perhaps he thought of Rufus here because this was one of the first spots they stopped to marvel in the beauty of the desert.

I love how loving and supportive you three are of each other. (Literally my relationship goals tbh. I'll definitely be the one committing food crimes tho, lol) question, if it's okay to ask: how does Rufus feel about it?

*Rufus sighs, he was afraid of this kind of question. Not that he's afraid to answer it, he's just ashamed of what he has to say*

I hate to admit it but.....I didn't support it in the beginning. I had a very set idea of what I wanted for Clay and his future. A very narrow minded idea at that. My father raised me to believe a man's duty is to take a wife and raise a family, so that is what I thought was best for my boy too. Not that any of that excuses the way I treated him~

*he sighs again*

I'm rambling. To cut a long story short, I did eventually realize that clinging to my beliefs was pushing Clay away. I can't say I fully understand this poly-whatever it is, and I'm not sure I ever will. But I'm glad Clay has Apollo and Klavier~ I love my boy, and as long as he's happy, then I'm happy~

*Rufus folds his arms, having to think a moment about that question*

Honestly? I could write a whole book about the shit those two idiots got up to. Not that it ever bothered me. As long as they weren't hurting themselves or anyone else, or doing anything illegal I was happy to let them make mistakes and learn from them.

*he scratches at his bandana*

One thing they did do that I did get angry about, was constantly sneak up to the roof. One of the bedroom windows at my house is directly over the garage, so you can climb out and then get to the roof with a ladder. The boys would climb out all the time, thinking I thought I couldn't hear them banging around. I'm honestly amazed neither of them ever fell.

*he sighs*

Another memorable one was when they broke into my drinks cabinet and stole a bottle of whiskey whilst I was at work. I found them both drunk in the lounge and ended up spending the night watching them puke into buckets. I remember giving them both hell the next day.
