"Are you saying this is my fault?"

[ angsty sentence starter ]

Slumping down onto the leather couch besides the other male for him to examine the wound that was resting along her shoulder blade. Shrugging off the deep maroon colored coat off of her petite shoulder in order for him to take notice of the sleeveless shirt that embraced the top half of her body. Blood resting along her skin as it slides down her elbow. Rome didn't speak a word to her, realizing that it wasn't exactly the right time to say a word or even question what happened.

The bandages were peeled off in order to replace it with a fresh new one to conceal the marks that were left due to sharp blades that barely sank down into the layers of her body. It slides, barely touching the porcelain and somehow the blade was enough to leave a mark that'll stain her petite frame for months. Weeks if she's even lucky. He's just relieved to know that he arrived just in time in order to protect her the way they've always done when they've met one another from time to time.

Time continues to change, it keeps going and despite their features along their bodies or face changing within time too. They aren't exactly different from one another. His palm was resting along her back to pat it once, informing her silently that he's done cleaning it up. Despite the muffled whimpers or groans of pain that causes him to stop from time to time, he needed to rush before the blood continued to flow out of the cuts.

"You ready to talk now?" Naeun didn't respond back to him. Rome presses his tongue flat against his teeth out of distaste at the bitter reaction he got. He wanted a simple thank you but apparently, he's forgotten how stubborn she was when things sink down horribly or if plans don't work after all the effort she puts into it. "Seriously, Naeun?"

"It's nothing to discuss about." She admitted softly, sighing underneath her breath while her eyes were shut tightly for a brief moment. Lashes fluttering unknowingly while glancing over to the other male. She shrugs her other shoulder nonchalantly, palm resting down her face gradually slow out of irritation because all she wanted was nothing more than to head back home to rest. "Shit happens, who cares. I got injured, not like I died."

"Are you saying this is my fault?" Rome didn't mean to spit the inquiry out. She didn't flat out admit it that he was one to blame, it didn't cross her mind one second but the way she spoke about what occurred made it seem like just because he was a couple of minutes late - he's the reason for her wounds.

Scoffing underneath her breath at Rome's reaction, the young female gradually got up from her seat. Fingers clutched onto the coat to place it over her arm in order to cover it properly before glancing over at him from over her shoulder. This event seems to happen, it's nothing different from how they act. One would cause a fit, either they argue or let it go but even then some things remain the same.

"No. If anything I'm the one to blame." Naeun admits calmly. Her palm beginning to wave out from side to side to dismiss the case. Excusing herself to let her walk over and out the door in three minutes. Lips curled into a small smile that was caught with a glimpse of his eye. Sincerely, silently; thanking him.

They'll learn to be besides one another through thick and thin.
