The sea fig, ch. II, Adela.
(second chapter <3)
The sun was setting when Adelaide returned to her room. It had been a week since she first stepped into her aunt’s homestead, and she was still adjusting to how different London was to her homeland. The room was still showered with remnants of twilight, brightened by the light green of the walls. It didn’t have much furniture; by the south side was a bed, supplied with a swan feathered mattress and pillows and furred covers that contrasted nicely with the wood of the headboard. A wardrobe stood by the west well, and where the floor raised in a platform sat a simple bathtub. The north side held most of the windows, and a desk with a looking glass and some parchment alongside it. Though it was different from her room in Normandy, she enjoyed how simple it was.
Had she been in Normandy she would have lulled herself to sleep listening to the crashing waves, or the sounds of the city filling the air. London wasn’t much different, admittedly. While during the day it seemed dull and uninteresting, when darkness set its rule and the moon showed her face the city lit up. The alehouses represented much of the night’s entertainment, and the bustling sounds reached her windows, leaving her longing for something other than the stillness of the castle.
Her aunt and her ladies in waiting provided a good distraction, and quickly she had sparked up a friendship with Gytha, with which she spent the nights in pleasant conversation. Sometimes they were joined by  Aelfwynn, though she appeared busier than Gytha.
Adela undressed and put on her nightgown, waiting for Gytha’s company as she brushed her hair by the desk. After a few minutes of silence finally the door opened, and she smiled as she saw Gytha enter her room.
“I am sorry if I couldn’t wait for you, I just needed to get out of that dress”.
Gytha let out a soft chuckle as she closed the door and she sat on her bed, her blonde hair now goldened by the candle’s lights.
“I imagined, sorry if I was late, your aunt needed me and Aelfwynn to sort out some fabrics.”
In a moment Gytha and Adela were deep in conversation, talking about each other and their lives until then. Gytha had much to tell about Denmark, how different it was from England and its people, and Adela in return talked about Normandy and how different they were from Frankia as a whole, how her people lived in relative peace and convivence.
“Of course it isn’t all sunshine, admittedly many Frankish Lords dislike us, but we also have some powerful allies like our cousins in Aquitaine”.
“Oh, so I guess there are Earls like Godwin everywhere”.
Adelaide’s interest was sparked when Gytha mentioned that name, and she couldn’t help but want to satisfy her curiosity.
“Isn’t he the right hand of the Queen and King alike?”
Gytha scrunched up her nose, shaking her head. “He certainly plays the part. He does his job well, but never trust him too much”.
Adela’s mind went back to something her Aunt Maude once told her. It was about her grandfather’s father: William Longsword. He had been a good ruler, but too trusting of the other. That was his demise.
Gytha suddenly shifted and looked at her with a glimmer in her eyes.
“You ask an awful lot of questions, but never tell anything about yourself. All this talk of Normandy won’t fool me! Now you shall tell me about this Duke of Lyonnaise”.
Adela laughed a little and shrugged, not very entertained by the tale of the less amusing nuisance in all of Frankia.
“There is not much to tell, he is uninteresting but a good party. There is a man who I like much more, the Duke of Blois. But my family dislikes his, and my father would not have that union.”
“Did you love him?”
“No, I wouldn’t say I did. I just liked him far better. It wouldn’t be wise for a woman such as me or you to do more than like any man”.
“And yet Queen Emma and my uncle seem to have found more than just liking in each other”
“You are not wrong. But that’s rare, and the one exception that confirms the rule.”
“And don’t you hope to have… something more?”
Adelaide moved to answer but stopped herself. She had never thought about something more; yes, she had many examples in her family of people who married and loved each other, namely her forebearers Duke Rollo and Princess Gisla. She had been married to him by her father to form an alliance, and had fallen so deeply in love with each other that many Norman tales and songs still told of their love and how beneficial that union had been for both Normandy and each other. Their son William Longsword had found love in both his first wife Sprota and then Liuthgarda, who responded in treachery. Her grandfather Richard the Fearless had loved her grandmother Gunnora, and then his many mistresses, with which he had produced some of her uncles. And her parents themselves were very happy with each other. Despite coming from a line of people who had found love in their partners, that something more wasn’t what she saw in her life. Since she was a girl, she had been educated in all matters regarding the politics of her lands as was Norman costume. Her greatest desire had always been to form a beneficial alliance for Normandy, and maybe marry in the confines of Frankia, as to not stray away from her beloved Rouen.
Gytha’s question wasn’t one she had ever considered, that something more for her looked more like being fortunate to find a man who’d allow her to rule beside him whatever land would welcome her as its own. She found herself grow uncomfortable, her guts stirring for a question that had been innocent and yet had cracked a chasm where she had always found sure footing.
“I don’t know what’s more, Gytha. It isn’t in me. My Aunt was kissed by fortune, but I have never thought of more and I… don’t even know if I want it”.
Gytha looked at her with a knowing look, and smiled a little.
“Let me tell you, you resemble a lot your aunt when you make that face”.
They ended up giggling and changing subject, concentrating in lighter chatter. Adela was grateful to have Gytha with her, a friend with which she could be herself and not be judged as too harsh to be ladylike. Maybe her exposure to her aunt as her lady in waiting made it easier, or the fact that she was a Dane, but she didn’t seem to mind Adela’s sharp words and observation. And she genuinely liked Gytha, who was fun and gentle and kind.
When it was late enough they realized it was time to retire, and though they didn’t want to put a stop to their fun it was time to rest. They were exchanging the last few words before Gytha’s exit when a sound caught their attention.
They stopped talking and realized it came from the city. It was the scream of a woman, a horrifying wail that made Gytha and Adelaide rush to the window and open it. A few guards were already covering the area, and they couldn’t see what was happening behind the entrance arch that sheltered them from the view. In a mix of curiosity and fear the two made for the door so they could at the very least ask the guards some informations, when outside their corridor they met Earl Godwin.
“Ladies, stay in the room and do not get out for any reason. If in need of anything I will place guards outside your doors, though now I must hurry and call Queen Emma”.
Gytha nodded and moved to close the door, but Adela prevented it by holding the door in it’s place.
“What is happening?”
Earl Godwin was taken aback by her questioning, recognizing in her the same mannerisms he had only seen in the Queen before now.
“The Dane priest Cynleaf was killed; we are assuming the attack was provoked by another Dane in the alehouse”.
Adela could sense Gytha gasp and tense behind her, and soon the Earl left them. They ended up spending the night together in Adela’s room, with guards outside the door and the chaos of the city muffled by the windows now closed.
Gytha had succumbed to sleep almost instantly, leaving Adela alone with her thoughts. Before she fell asleep, her agitated mind kept circling between the events of the night and Gytha’s words.
He certainly plays the part.

Do you miss Gisla? I do. Part of me wants to see her again to get some closure. But the other part doesn’t because...well Hirst’s writing.
I do too, I miss her and Rolisla so much, but tbh her absence from the show is for the better.
I dread so much the rumours about Rollo being in s6a/b, even though I doubt it since Hirst has made it clear as water he hates him, but still I am afraid. S5 already ruined his characterization, and s4b did so much already to set a path on Gisla that pretty much was going to end up like Margrethe's (when she stated that she would kill her children if she knew they were viking, which was so not in character 🙄).
I am glad both of them are staying out of this shit show. I have a few edits, gifset and fanfiction in store about them (both together and singularly) and their children, and I will make up for fan content until someone will pick up their story and turn it into a serie or star them into one (still have hopes for TLK to at least mention them)
I know I am not talking about Gisla as frequently as I did, but I am still in love with her and Rolisla' story and I will always be, they are my favourites both historically wise and in the show.
But again, seeing Gisla would make more damage to her character than good, and tbh I want her to stay safe for as long as she can be. I am already really skeptic about how William The Conqueror will be handled, figures how she would be with Hirst in total control of the narrative.
I need her, but I want her in the hands of someone who is going to give her justice as a character, and not treat her as badly as she already was.
I know it is just a matter of time though until someone will pick their story up so let's not lose our hopes!!!

23, 25, 28, 29!!!!
Thanks for asking! ^^
23- Characters  death that I’m not over yet
I suppose all the women (Siggy, Helga, Aslaug, Kwenthrith, little Siggy, Gyda, Yidu…) dying and Sigurd.
Hirst tricked us to believe Sigurd would live to be the legendary Viking. They even casted an actress to be Aelle’s daughter: Blaeja. His supposed future wife. All to shock us. Like if it was necessary to show Ivar killing him for us to know he was violent. When Sigurd started acting as a bullier I felt what was coming. Exactly how happened to Aslaug. Her death started way before that arrow. First we had her crazy storyline with Harbard, her sons almost dying after following her through the frozen lake, then her neglect (as if that girl didn’t have a father and grandmother who could look after her) leading to little Siggy’s death and the mockery.
If Hirst needed to get rid of the actor or the character, he could have written Sigurd marrying Blaeja and going to Orkney after disagreeing with his brothers about the leadership of the great heathen army for example. It would be a way to have a card hidden up his sleeve, for future storylines, or just leave them alone. Sorry for the rant.
Aslaug is another demise I’ll never forgive. It was completely out of character having Lagertha challenging Aslaug for something she abandoned years before. Not to mention Lagertha said all was forgiven and she lived by those words, as we have never seen them acting other than politely and friendly with one another.
25- Actor or actress from the show I have a crush on?
We all talk about Alex, Jordan, Marco, Jasper, Peter… but I really love Moe and Linus, hahaha.
28- If you could bring back one character that would be ___?
OMG! That’s tough. Can I choose two? Please!!! Aslaug and Sigurd.
29- How did you discovered Vikings TV show?
I remember reading History Channel was filming a show about Vikings and I started watching, but I became more active as a member of Rolisla fandom on Tumblr in season 3.Then Ragnarssons in season 4…
I’m so grateful for all the love, fun and friends I found here.

When did Gisla decide to stay in Paris while Rollo and the children are in Normandy? Is this going to be in ep 4x19 & 4x20? I heard that the last two episode have been leaked on the internet.
The episode have been leaked but I know from a trustworthy source that there is no mention of Rollo or Gisla in those episodes. So the anons assuming she went back to Paris are simply giving me their opinions and headcanons.
I am not even surprised by Rolisla’s absence. It makes so much sense considering they had like one minute of screentime each episode since the beginning of season 4. I am even surprised they were given the favor (or not regarding how shitty 4b was for both of them) of having even one second on screen and that we got to see Rollo’s children.

Ten questions tag game
I was tagged by the lovelies @ktwrites and @goldentailedmermaids, with whom I love discussing plots, conspiracy theories and original characters. ^^
First 10 questions from Katie:
1. What is your favorite fandom to write for?
Vikings I suppose, since I’ve never tried writing for another fandom.
2. Do you prefer to write your story out by hand first or type it?
I used to write the chapters by hand whenever I found time at work (while the kids sleep), but then I had to type and it felt like double work. So I’ve been typing on my cellphone and editing when I’m home.
3. Along those same lines: Black ink or Blue ink?
Any ink at hand. Sometimes really colorful. Hahahaha.
4. Do you have a favorite writing spot?
My bedroom to avoid noise.
5. What is the most difficult part of writing?
In my case the language. English is not my mother tongue. But besides this, I would say finding time to update when you have many stories and work on one idea at a time.
6. Who is your favorite character to write?
Original characters? I can’t choose between my ladies. I would say Ivar considering the psychological complexity and Ubbe, even though I still have to explore him a little more in my stories.
7. Who has been the hardest character to write?
Moyra. Considering the sensitive topic in her story, I try to be extra cautious not to be disrespectful with any victim of rape from our era or the anonymous figures from the past.
8. What’s your favorite book?
How dare you? HAHAHA. It’s impossible to choose just one. I will give you at least a series. The Mists of Avalon.
9. What’s your favorite thing about writing?
I’ve been always a imaginative person, so it’s possible to tell a story that was only in my mind before. The good thing about writing fanfics is that many things the readers tell us give inspiration and motivation to keep going.
10. If you could travel to any time real or imaginary where would you go and why?
Trick question. I think I would like to have a glimpse into High Middle Ages. Maybe hang out with Eleanor of Aquitaine. Or with Aethelflaed during Early Middle Ages.
Now Lauren’s questions:
1- How do you name your OCs?
I usually go to baby names pages and search for a proper meaning according to the personality and journey the character will face. I ask for opinion as well. Hahaha
2- Are you a visual kind of person when it comes to scenery and writing?
I think I am. I usually imagine the scenes and the dialogues before I start writing. Then new ideas come.
3- What kind of scene do you like to write?
I think I’m fond of writing sad scenes.
4- Who is your biggest influence when it comes to writing?
I think every one of the fabulous writers here inspire me. Not to mention the music, poetry, movies and any other form of art that gives me ideas. But one thing that I notice is that I try to always organize my end notes with the references I used, and this is @zoesongs influence for sure. ^^
5- Why do you write?
Because I have fun imagining the details behind historical events or saga material, since the majority of what I write is based on them.
6- Who are your favorite OCs?
I can’t choose. I love every single one of them.
7- What are some recurring tropes in your writing?
Ladies risking their safety for the common good I suppose.
8- Who was your first OC?
I started writing for Rolisla fandom, so I would say Gisla. Then Blaeja a long time ago, when her name was not even possible to tag on AO3.
9- Tell us about a story you are dying to write?
I’m dying to write Bjorn with a Muslim woman. Maybe a poet. I even have a title and some face claims for this story. But I suppose it will have to wait until I finish at least one of my main fics.
10- What is your organisation writing-wise?
I usually think about a background story for the characters before I start writing. Then I write a timeline of events I want to happen until the ending that, usually, is previsously planned as well. Sometimes the route for the ending I planned might change, especially according to the comments I read. It’s what happened with The Sea Wolves for example. I intended it to be just two chapters.
I try to think how the characters would interact in different situations.
When I’m writing the chapter I have this idea of what I want to happen and some dialogue. Then I fill the gaps. If I see a quote or picture that fits into any of my stories, I save it.
My questions:
1- What is the most difficult part of writing?  2- Are you a visual kind of person when it comes to scenery and writing? 3- What kind of scene do you like to write? 4- Who is your biggest influence when it comes to writing? 5- Who has been the hardest character to write?  6- Who are your favorite OCs? 7- What’s your favorite thing about writing?  8- Who was your first OC? 9- Tell us about a story you are dying to write? 10- What is your organisation writing-wise?
Tagging: @pagan-raider, @lordavanti, @pokeasleepingsmaug, @skadithegoddess, @lostinthoughtsandfeelings, @inthenameofodin, @bonniebird, @zoesongs, @daizydoe, @synnersaint and anyone who wants to do this. No pressure girls!

Heyyyyyyy! Monthly fic rec please for those who wants to read in August.
Awww. Thanks for asking. I’ve been reading a lot of fanfics that leave me in awe. Some of them get lost in my messy blog. I can’t find them by the tags for some crazy reason. Tumblr sucks. I’m sure I’ll forget to mention some of my favorite writers. Please, forgive me. ^^
First of all, your own fic, my lady. Sweet Torture. A fierce woman from a far away land is torturing Ivar with the promise of pleasure. He thinks he is her master, little he knows that the more he wants to control her, the more he is in her hands. We are tortured alongside him throughout the reading. Hahahaha.
The last Friday Heathen Game was crazy and the talented sisters nailed it. Beware that those fics have warning about stalker, kidnapper and serial killer Ivar. So far, I haven’t read any fic praising or romanticizing this topic. What makes me glad.
@captainpoopweinersoldier wrote an amazing piece in which you can feel like you are inside Ivar’s mind. It’s called Give You Everything.
Summary:
Ivar is your ex-boyfriend, and he will do anything to get you back.
When the sister says anything, she really means anything.
@ivartheheathen wrote a sequence of her stalker fic with Ivar as well. It’s hot and twisted. You were warned. Hahahaha. It’s Stalker.
Summary:
Ivar’s brothers use to tell him that he needs a hobby. But he does have a hobby, his favorite activity: to watch you.
@synnersaint wrote for the first time and my baby nailed it. Decide is an amazing piece. Thrilling and you can feel like you are living the terror with the poor girl. I can’t wait for more.
Play Along by @brightlycoloredteacups is fantastic. But, I couldn’t find the link on AO3. The link is from her blog, but she has an account on AO3. Her series Nothing But Love is cuteness overload.
Ivar stares at the glossy pictures in front of him. He’s trying to gather courage for tonight, and looking at your beautiful, smiling face gives him that courage. There are many pictures of you in the binder. He has them categorized by type, then by date. Of course, he has his favorites that he wants to put at the very front, but he must have order too. Those are all the fics from the Friday Heathen Games I could find the links. Unfortunately I’m having problems to find things on my blog. Now other fics I’m reading.
@that-was-not-supposed-to-happen. Follow her. She writes amazing pieces, not only about Ivar and from smut to fluff topics. Not to mention her pretty moodboards as well.
@sereniti9. She is a poet. Follow her. Kind, smart and talented sister.
@ivartheboneme. This sister is one of the worse, hahahaha. She will make you sin with Ivar or/and Tom Hiddleston. Don’t let her kindness fool you, she is evil. That’s why I love her. Efterfest and Oral assignment are my faves.
@lordavanti is an incredible writer and her account on AO3 is here. Her piece Imagine Your Wedding Night With Ivar was so cute and it’s my favorite from her.
@ivarsvalkyrie wrote Trooper. Ivar as a gentle cop, with a hidden side (spoiler alert is from my mind. Hahahaha).
Keep Your Silence from @captainpoopweinersoldier. She is here again. What can I say? The girl is gifted.
Summary:
After his father’s death, Ivar finally returns to University in need of a tutor. Skeptical, and a little wary of the rumors surrounding the Lothbrok Family’s notorious connection to the Mob, Lisbet reluctantly accepts the position.
Leif Ivarsson from @bonniebird. Ivar is having problems to accept he is going to be a father.
Control by @mizzvengenz6661. It’s an intriguing story in a modern AU. Ivar and Alex share the same body and woman. It’s great and the latest chapter was surprising. ^^
The Saga of The Slave Queen from my Aussie baby girl @burntmythroatskullingmytea. Ethna is a strong Irish girl who is taken as captive.
Feed You The Sky by @pokeasleepingsmaug and @shesafreesoul. Kára is a fierce viking woman who wants what it’s hers by right. But she will find much more when she challenges Ivar to a single combat.
Turn The Tide by @anniemar.
Summary:
A new young seer in Kattegat conspires with Lagertha to ensure that the queen will not be “killed by a son of Ragnar” as it had been prophesied. In the process, Ivar gets an education of sorts, before he goes off to become myth and legend. And the seer must decide if she wants to become a part of his story. Sig is a fascinating character. I love her.
Bathe in Fire, Burn in Blood by my cupcake @underthenorthstar. Summary: Ivar wants glory. Ivar wants fame. Ivar wants revenge. But, he also wants love. He’s pretty messed up. But then again, she is too. (In which Ivar secretly longs for love, meets the girl of his literal dreams, and finds himself on a path he never thought he would travel.)
@inthenameofodin wrote a multichapter called This Ends Tonight that is a slow burn. Great work. Her Masterlist is here.
@pagan-raider writes amazingly well. Her masterlist is here.
The queen of sin @cherrytrinkets can be cute too. Her piece Little Legs made me cry. It’s a must read.
Last but never the least. My queen @whenimaunicorn. The one who keeps me awake reading, fangirling and writing endless comments. ^^
Ride The Storm, Snowed In With The Ragnarssons, This Is How A Sin Begins… Everything she writes is a masterpiece. Warning: Extra panties. Hahahaha. Her AO3 account here.
From Rolisla fandom we have @ourashesofroses. She is a sweet baby. Be kind and praise her because she is a talented and kind girl. Her fanfic is gold.
@zoesongs is incredible too. One day she will be a published author for sure. Her The Princess and The Bear is one of my favorite Rolisla fic. She wrote some  pieces about GOT too. My favorites are Her Hand, in which Sansa explains why she doesn’t want to marry, and Reunion for Sansan shippers.
Another Rolisla writer is @seersaw. Nightfall is incredible. Summary:
Slight AU. Rollo doesn’t speak up when the Cardinal comes and Gisla is being as stubborn as ever. In order to save all he has worked for Rollo must win over the heart of the stubborn princess using every trick he knows. A story inspired by the myth of Psyche and Eros.
The Things That Bind Us is so sweet too. It’s an AU, in which Gisla is taken to Kattegat.

F, O, R ^^
Thanks for sending your ask. ^^
F: Share a snippet from one of your favoritedialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
I suppose I can share a different answer for every question F I get, right?! I’ll pretend that I can, hahaha. The following scene happened when Emer thought Ivar was cheating on her with a slave. I liked to write this one because it shows she is hurt, but that she will act as the Queen she is.
“Emer?” his tone was almost pleading – or at least as close to pleading as she imagined this man ever got.
Her heart twisting painfully in her chest, wishing she could tell him why she was acting this way. She didn't look at him, to avoid a breakdown.
“Don't wait for me! I'll do some practice, I'll be back by the evening. Maybe.” Emer stated.
“Let's eat, then I can go with you. I would love seeing you with your bow for the first time. Bragi even composed a song praising your skills” Ivar tried.
Emer remembered their wedding, when Bragi had sung about their adventure, praising her talent with the bow and Ivar's fame.
Her jaw started trembling, a tear running down her cheek, when she thought about how they made no advance. With a crack voice, Emer replied, “I don't think you want to see me with a bow in hands right now.”
O: How do you begin a story–with the plot, orthe characters?
I think it’s a mix of both. I usually think about the plot first, but then I start picturing how the characters would act in the situation. Especially OCs. I try to think about different personalities for them.
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise)you consider an influence?
I started writing in Rolisla fandom. So I have to mention the friends from that amazing group. Such as @zoesongs, @laure-demontety, @stripesandpolkadot, @seersaw, @ladyofglencairn and many more. As I’m now engaged with writing Ivar, I must mention the sisters whose talent make me want to push myself more. You’re one of them @ivartheboneme. @whenimaunicorn is always making me lose my shit and sleep. I’ll never learn to wait until the morning to read her latest updates. I suppose I like the torture. Hahahaha. Her OCs are so relatable.
@underthenorthstar is my cupcake and I love how she can surprise us with the darkest of stories.
@pokeasleepingsmaug is a poet. I love her every word.
@anniemar and her sassy Sig are so inspiring.
@inthenameofodin and her smut. She loves torturing us all.
@skadithegoddess is wise beyond her years. An inspiring and lovely sisters. “Do You Want To Play With Us” was shocking and it deserves its every note, comment and recommendation,
@synnersaint is incredible and I’m so happy that she decided to share her talent with us.
@@captainpoopweinersoldier, @theheathenqueendickubus @ivartheheathen, @pagan-raider, @cherrytrinkets, @brightlycoloredteacups, @burntmythroatskullingmytea, @sereniti9, @wastelandsheep, @that-was-not-supposed-to-happen, @ivarinleatherpants, @rachiieee, @mizzvengenz6661, @tiyetiye, @lordavanti, @wanderingsorceress27 (with the best prompts) and many more. I have seen lots of posts lately around talking about "fake fans" and writers that are just here for notes. do you think the main members of the heathen army will ever call out those people and not claim them as sister wives? Just curious I am not one of the poeple sending hate I swear
I confess that I took some time to understand your question.
I think every writer wants to be recognized by his/her efforts. Nothing wrong here. What doesn’t mean that you have to dedicate 100% of your time to just one fandom. It doesn’t make you a “fake fan” in my opinion.
I’m part of Rolisla fandom too, which is smaller than Ivar’s Heathen Army. I see this fandom as a safe place for creative people, and we shouldn’t set boundaries in our minds. That’s why I have no problem with people writing and interacting with different fandoms. We are here for fun, at least that’s why I’m here.
Now about the main members you’re referring to. We don’t have something like a hierarchy. If you want to join us, you are a sister already. Of course in a huge fandom as ours, it’s hard to keep up with everyone’s writing and posts, family, work… that’s why we interact more with ones than others, not to mention that everyday we have a new sister. What is good!!!
To be true, I’ve never seen a group that big being so supportive and creative. It’s truly inspiring. Even those who don’t write are giving ideas, supporting and having a good time here.
Anon hate in social media is a real issue, we have people struggling with depression and the most complicated situations. So receiving a coward message of hate could lead to tragedies.
Anyway, I hope I answered your question without being disrespectful. ^^

Although some speculations in your ask box on Rollo's storyline are creative & interesting (Rollo's rape victim confronts Gisla! Gisla leaves/divorces Rollo! Gisla dies!), I'm expecting Rollo to suffer some consequence for his mid-life "I-want-to-rape-and-pillage" crisis. It's obvious Hirst is setting something up in regards to this. I do foresee this consequence as the end of Rolisla in some shape or form. So brace yourself because (in Ned Stark voice) Winter is Coming.
I have the same feeling as yours. We all know what happens to female characters hated by the fandom, not to mention daughters... So here’s a tanksgiving to someone I’ll meet when what I fear the most will happen:
