Here we go:
Seven Stars
“Papa?”
Rolf looked up from his breakfast and smiled, though inwardly he felt his heart constrict slightly. There in the doorway of the kitchen stood Michael, his face still pale, his eyes sunken with exhaustion, his grip tight on the frame as if it were the only thing holding him up. Rolf could smell the tiredness on him, overwhelming the last faint notes of heat in his scent.
His little boy, no longer a child, but a grown omega, now that his first heat was over.
*
you make the rockin’ world go round
When Logan arrived back at his hotel room, the first thing he saw was the “Do Not Disturb” hanger dangling from the doorknob.
Smiling, Logan slipped the card in the lock as quietly as he could, knowing what it meant; that Oscar had got back before him.
The door opened to reveal his room bathed in only the dim light from the adjustable bedside lamp (what luxury! They hadn’t stayed in rooms with those in F2!). Logan crept in on cat-feet, letting his vision adjust and listening for any sound; all he heard was the soft, rhythmic sound of Oscar’s breathing that told him his boyfriend was asleep.
Leaving his bag by the door, Logan toed his shoes off and tip-toed towards the nest his omega had built on his bed as soon as they’d arrived in Bahrain.
*
you know i never could foresee the future years
Oscar felt unaccountably nervous as he walked into the Prema factory.
“Oscar, good to see you,” Rene grinned. “Come this way, come meet the other drivers.”
Oscar followed him into a large lounge area, where several other young men, mostly alphas, were relaxing in various states of recline. He tried to remember all of their names as he was introduced; Logan, Arthur, Robert…
He had just let go of Robert’s hand, registering that the other boy was an alpha, when suddenly a sweet, gentle scent stole through the room, the scent of rain on grass, of the wind through trees, with a touch of honey.
An omega.
Oscar knew some of the others were snickering at him as his head swivelled around, and his eyes widened.
Mick Schumacher had just walked into the room.
*
a soul for sale or rent
Lewis looked up from his work as the delicate smell of newly-budded flowers stole through his hut, the slight hints of honey piercing into the most instinctive parts of his brain.
All around him, the camp was starting to rustle with activity, the scents of the alphas drowning out that enticing odor, the noise level picking up outside as preparations began.
Lewis turned back to the basket of herbs he was sorting for drying.
He had always found the tradition barbaric, that when a young omega began to go into heat for the first time, all of the unmated alphas of the camp would fight over them, fight for the right to be their mate. The omega didn’t have any choice in the matter; they had to go with whoever won. Over time it had taken on a ceremonial aspect; but Lewis didn’t care for all of that.
*
love you ‘cause you’re sweet and love you ‘cause you’re naughty
“Oscar!” Mick giggled as the alpha dragged him through the door by the hand. The room allocated to Prema for its drivers to get ready in for the prize-giving was deserted; everyone else was out getting ready to watch the main race.
Oscar seemed to have spotted what he was looking for; another door that opened onto a coat closet, barely big enough for the two of them and fortunately empty. The trophies were discarded on the floor and Mick couldn’t help but giggle again as Oscar dragged him inside with a single-minded intensity that half made him wonder if his mate’s rut had come early.
*
get a grip on my boy-racer rollbar
Daniel startled to full wakefulness when Oscar climbed over the back of the couch to straddle him.
“Question,” Oscar said cheerfully, seemingly unaware that he had jolted Daniel out of his doze in front of the cricket.
“Yes?” Daniel was amused; he knew Oscar knew full well what he’d done. And he was never going to say no to Oscar sitting in his lap…
“Have you ever had sex at Albert Park?”
Daniel’s hands, halfway to Oscar’s thighs, froze, and he blinked rapidly.
“Say what?”
“Have you ever had sex at Albert Park?” Oscar repeated patiently. His face was sweet, and innocent, but his eyes…
*
call the shots and name the price, honey
Daniel made his way quietly through the paddock, using all of the back corridors and hidden ways between vans and hospitality.
Zandvoort had been a disaster, and he didn’t want to see anybody.
Not only had he been sacked, but he hadn’t been able to do anything in the race after having his quali lap ruined, and he knew people were sneering at him. He didn’t want to see Lando, he didn’t want to see Zak or Andreas, he didn’t want to see anyone…
“Trying to sneak out?”
Daniel looked up, startled out of his glooms.
“I’ll take that jump as a yes,” Mark shrugged. He was leaning casually against the back of one of the broadcast trucks, and Daniel noted reluctantly that he looked good; tanned and fit, no longer gaunt and skeletal, even his greying hair only adding to an air of distinguished elegance about him.
(Daniel wasn’t ashamed of his slight crush on Mark. He was hardly the only one of the young drivers of that era who’d got one.)
*
i love you for your mind
“Mick, good morning,” Bono grinned as Mick walked into the factory. “We’ve made some adjustments to the double sim. Can you head down there please? I’m keen for your feedback.”
“Of course, Bono. I’ll go down now.” Mick smiled back, and made his way towards the elevators.
He waved and smiled at a few engineers who called out to him as he walked past, shouting back hellos and good mornings. It was so easy to feel at home here, where he’d been so warmly welcomed, where his opinion seemed to matter, where he was taken seriously as a driver, not just tolerated for being Michael’s son.
Which Mick found more than a little ironic, but hey, he wasn’t complaining.
Arriving at the room with the double sim, he spotted Toto, Shov and several other engineers, all standing around the double sim with Lewis.
Lewis was the first to spot him, and he gave Mick a warm smile, a smile that had heat creeping up Mick’s spine as he remembered the last time they had sat in the double sim together.
*
we’ll soon be turning, round the corner now
“Can I look yet?” Dan asked impatiently.
“No!” Mick’s voice still had the slightly echo-y quality that told Daniel he was in the bathroom. “Just a little longer!”
Dan settled back on the bed, grinning, resisting the temptation to peek.
In truth, it wouldn’t even take a little bit of thinking to be able to guess what news Mick had for him, what had made Mick so excited that he’d dragged Dan back to dreary grey England from warm sunny Australia. Regardless of what plenty of people online thought, he wasn’t stupid, and Toto Wolff wasn’t too difficult to read.
Still, Dan would let Mick tell him himself. Truth be told, so much had gone wrong this year that even though he was so sure he knew, he still worried he was wrong. And he was secure now, he had a situation that would help and a team who loved him. He wanted this for Mick, wanted it so badly it hurt, and couldn’t help but fear it might still go awry.
*
guaranteed to blow your mind
“Are you sure you don’t want to go to the party together?” Daniel called through the bathroom door.
“I’m still getting ready, I’ll join you in a few minutes,” Mick’s voice called back. “You go ahead.”
Daniel shrugged.
“If you’re sure.”
“Yes,” Mick replied. “You go ahead, really. I’ll be down soon.”
Daniel grabbed his room key and shoved it in his pocket, along with his phone, and headed out.

1991 yılında World Endurance Championship’te, Mercedes’in gençler yarış programına katıldı ve Sauber-Mercedes C291 model aracıyla, Mexico City yarışında ilk sırayı aldı.
Michael Schumacher, Formula 1 kariyerindeki ilk şampiyonluğunu 1994 sezonunda elde etti.
Fernando Alonso’nun şampiyon olduğu sezondaki kural değişiklikleri üzerine Schumacher’in yorumu şöyleydi: “Aynı silahlara sahip olmadığınızda savaş vermek zordur.”

#lellalombardi #spanishgp #onthisday #jochenmass #mclaren #montjuic #rolfstommelen #formula1 #nestedia #hill #march #f1 #motorsport #classic #1975 https://www.instagram.com/p/B_es_mMID7d/?igshid=1rh76e1we1nto

What I read in February
Reading was a little slower this month, but thats ok, because my main focus was on running more. I finished 3 books or 819 pages.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hajo Schumacher- Bewegt euch, Die Glücksphilosophie des Achim Achilles
Rolf Schneider - Unsterblichkeit
Rainbow Rowell - Eleanor & Park
Book one and three are from my library. I enjoyed both of them very much. The first is a funny little collection of storys about running by German sports journalist Hajo Schumacher. Not exactly mindblowing stuff but I had some good laughs with it.
Eleanor and Park was way better than I anticipated. Really glad I finally read it.
And finally, book two was from my tbr and I don´t know what to say about it, except that its really not very good. It will be donated to my local book swap tower.
Lets see how I´ll do in March!

Michael Schumacher
Michael Schumacher  born 3 January 1969) is a retired German racing driver. Schumacher is a seven-time Formula One World Champion and is widely regarded as one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time.[1][2][3][4] He holds many of Formula One's driver records, including most championships, race victories, fastest laps, pole positions and most races won in a single season – 13 in 2004. In 2002 he became the only driver in Formula One history to finish in the top three in every race of a season and then also broke the record for most consecutive podium finishes. According to the official Formula One website, he is "statistically the greatest driver the sport has ever seen".[5]
After beginning with karting, Schumacher won German drivers' championships in Formula König and Formula Three before joining Mercedes in the World Sportscar Championship. After one Mercedes-funded race for the Jordan Formula One team, Schumacher signed as a driver for the Benetton Formula One team in 1991. After winning consecutive championships with Benetton in 1994/5, Schumacher moved to Ferrari in 1996 and won another five consecutive drivers' titles with them from 2000 to 2004. Schumacher retired from Formula One driving in 2006 staying with Ferrari as an advisor.[6] Schumacher agreed to return for Ferrari part-way through 2009, as cover for the badly injured Felipe Massa, but was prevented by a neck injury. He later signed a three-year contract to drive for the new Mercedes team starting in 2010.[7][8][9]
His career has not been without controversy, including being twice involved in collisions in the final race of a season that determined the outcome of the world championship, with Damon Hill in 1994 in Adelaide, and with Jacques Villeneuve in 1997 in Jerez.[10] Off the track Schumacher is an ambassador for UNESCO and a spokesman for driver safety. He has been involved in numerous humanitarian efforts throughout his life and donated tens of millions of dollars to charity.[11] Michael and his younger brother Ralf Schumacher are the only brothers to win races in Formula One, and they were the first brothers to finish 1st and 2nd in the same race, in Montreal in 2001. The two brothers repeated this achievement in four more races (the 2001 French Grand Prix, the 2002 Brazilian Grand Prix, the 2003 Canadian Grand Prix and the 2004 Japanese Grand Prix).
Schumacher was born in Hürth, North Rhine-Westphalia,[12] to Rolf Schumacher, a bricklayer, and his wife Elisabeth. When Schumacher was four, his father modified his pedal kart by adding a small motorcycle engine. When Schumacher crashed it into a lamp post in Kerpen, his parents took him to the karting track at Kerpen-Horrem, where he became the youngest member of the karting club. His father soon built him a kart from discarded parts and at the age of six Schumacher won his first club championship. To support his son's racing, Rolf Schumacher took on a second job renting and repairing karts, while his wife worked at the track's canteen. Nevertheless, when Michael needed a new engine costing 800 DM, his parents were unable to afford it; he was able to continue racing with support from local businessmen.[13]Regulations in Germany require a driver to be at least 14 years old to obtain a kart license. To get around this, Schumacher obtained a license in Luxembourg at the age of 12.[14In 1983, he obtained his German license, a year after he won the German Junior Kart Championship. From 1984 on, Schumacher won many German and European kart championships. He joined Eurokart dealer Adolf Neubert in 1985 and by 1987 he was the German and European kart champion, then he quit school and began working as a mechanic. In 1988 he made his first step into single-seat car racing by participating in the German Formula Ford and Formula König series, winning the latter.[15]
In 1989, Schumacher signed with Willi Weber's WTS Formula Three team. Funded by Weber, he competed in the German Formula 3 series, winning the title in 1990. He won also the Macau Grand Prix. At the end of 1990, along with his Formula 3 rivals Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Karl Wendlinger, he joined the Mercedes junior racing programme in the World Sports-Prototype Championship. This was unusual for a young driver: most of Schumacher's contemporaries would compete in Formula 3000 on the way to Formula One. However, Weber advised Schumacher that being exposed to professional press conferences and driving powerful cars in long distance races would help his career.[14] In the 1990 World Sportscar Championship season, Schumacher won the season finale at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in a Sauber–Mercedes C11, and finished fifth in the drivers' championship despite only driving in 3 of the 9 races. He continued with the team in the 1991 World Sportscar Championship season, winning again at the final race of the season at Autopolis in Japan with a Sauber–Mercedes-Benz C291, leading to a ninth place finish in the drivers championship. He also competed at Le Mans during that season, finishing 5th in a car shared with Karl Wendlinger and Fritz Kreutzpointner. In 1991, he competed in one race in the Japanese Formula 3000 Championship, finishing second.[15]
Formula One career
Schumacher was noted throughout his career for his ability to produce fast laps at crucial moments in a race, to push his car to the very limit for sustained periods.[16] Motor sport author Christopher Hilton observed in 2003 that "A measure of a driver's capabilities is his performance in wet races, because the most delicate car control and sensitivity are needed", and noted that like other great drivers, Schumacher's record in wet conditions shows very few mistakes: up to the end of the 2003 season, Schumacher won 17 of the 30 races in wet conditions he contested.[17] Some of Schumacher's best performances occurred in such conditions, earning him the nicknames "Regenkönig" (rain king)[18] or "Regenmeister" (rain master),[16][19] even in the non-German-language media. He is known as "the Red Baron", because of his red Ferrari and in reference to the German Manfred von Richthofen, the famous flying ace of World War I. Schumacher's nicknames include "Schumi",[20] "Schuey"[21] and "Schu".[22]
Schumacher is often credited with popularising Formula One in Germany, where it was formerly considered a fringe sport.[23] When Schumacher retired in 2006, three of the top ten drivers were German, more than any other nationality and more than have ever been present in Formula One history. Younger German drivers, such as Sebastian Vettel, felt Schumacher was key in their becoming Formula One drivers.[24] In the latter part of his Formula One career, and as one of the senior drivers, Schumacher was the president of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association.[25] In a 2006 FIA survey, Michael Schumacher was voted the most popular driver of the season among Formula One fans.[26]
