I went back to the scene where they talk about Leon and Targent to make sure that this isn't another case of me misunderstanding something in English again, but yea I think they're very much implying Leon caused Targent to be corrupted

Same with the Mystery text

This part always annoys me when I replay Azran Legacy. Leon could have made Targent worse, but he's not the root cause of Targent's evil. They were kidnapping and threatening people before he ever joined

(side note : I like how Raymond's first 2 lines also apply to Des somewhat. Like Father Like Son [derogatory])

This infuriates me as well honestly!!

The game literally contradicts itself, Targent was born as evil.

They literally separated a family and perhaps other ones as well, and the only thing that the game says is "yea, but it's Leon's fault." which is not true!

I think level-5 changed the things last minute, maybe talking about crime organisation and how the arrest of one (1) leader doesn't really stop the problem was a topic too dark for kids.

(strange since they talked about corrupted politics in lost future, and this isn't a kid friendly topic as well. Plus, Bill Hawks wasn't even punished in the end).

Also, about the two lines apply to both of them, god. Des truly somewhat became the one who hates.

Just like his father, he lost everything (twice), and he's completely mentally destroyed due to trauma and his past.

Can we talk about how he clearly has hatred for his past self, Sycamore. The fool who couldn't even protect his loved ones?

Descole, at this point, could be pretty much a mask. It was a role that he gave to himself in order to forget how much he feels guilty for what happened. A mask full of rage that became what he despited the most.

OKAY SO

○ First of all, I'm a Non-binary/genderqueer Bisexual Des believer. IS SO GNC IN GENERAL?? LIKE THIS SILLY FELLA WORE CANONICALLY A DRESS AND DRESSED UP IN A FEM WAY TWICE?? (Yes. Twice. Once in one of the books) What an icon! (Sorry, but this lives in my mind freely)

○ A projection, but he is visually impaired due to the fact that one eye is blind and smaller, so he has a prosthetic. (Reason why he has a kind of shitty aim)

○ he met his gf (his future wife) because she almost ran over him with her motorcycle. They were kind of mean to each other at first, but at the end, they started to get along and eventually get together.

○ He is arachnophobic. During uni, he would call his gf because there was a spider in the apartment, and he couldn't fall asleep due to the fact that he knew that it was still alive.

(F because his daughter will be hyperfixated on spiders)

○ he was a history high school teacher, his students memed about him a lot, at the point that they've created a sort of cult/conspiracy theory (dw it was all in a very funny and non serious way). Unfortunately, I can't explain here the concept of the pinboard ( @deranged-kotek knows already)

○ after AL, he went to therapy, and a few years later, he tried to talk w Hershel again. It's not really easy, plus he is slightly a bit guilty about what happened between him and his little brother.

○ plus, after AL, he travelled around the world a bit, trying to find a bit of peace. I think it is sweet imaging him acting like a random tourist (I hope he doesn't wear the boa in Sicily because it's very hot there)

I swear to god, I hate how contradictory is level-5 about Targent in Azran Legacy.

The majority of pgs said that before Leon Bronev, Targent had actually good intentions.

which is not true since we know that they literally kidnapped Hersh and Des biological parents, and god knows how many other archaeologists (we know that when this happened, they were a relatively small group, but I don't think that Leon and Rachel were the only ones kidnapped in this period of time.)

We know that Leon worsened it for sure, but Targent itself was rotten from the beginning.

It's basically a crime organisation.

Also, I hate how, in the extras, the agents were like, "Oh yea, we can turn back to the old targent morals and not using Leon's methods anymore"

Fuck no??? You still kidnapped families

Honestly, I don't hate the fact that Targent still exists. IT'S REALISTIC.

But how level-5 just treated it as if the bad in Targent was all Leon's fault is just terrible.

Edit: I'm theorising that they changed a few things during the game development since this topic is a pretty delicate and complex one, so they just said "yea the problem is bronev" and not the entire system.
