El mandatario varelense -Andrés Watson-, el subsecretario nacional de Programación Federal y Articulación Legislativa -Sergio Barrionuevo- más funcionarios en la cartera de Seguridad a nivel federal diagramaron estrategias conjuntas en el Centro de Monitoreo situado en la intersección de Bonn con Av. Novak. “Conversamos sobre la formación no solo de cuadros policiales sino de Guardia Comunal, Defensa Civil, Inspección General, distintos trabajadores y trabajadoras en el desempeño de sus tareas para potenciar la prestación de los servicios”, indicó el titular en el Ejecutivo distrital. Asimismo, destacó a la instrucción en una propuesta amplia que permitió “duplicar el número de cámaras para el registro de imágenes de 220 a 440: una inversión coordinada entre los diversos estamentos gubernamentales que también contempló la incorporación de 70 patrulleros nuevos”. Por ese motivo, aclaró: “Rápidamente, articulamos con la administración bonaerense para generar escuelas de policías. En Florencio Varela, instalamos una en el predio de la ex empresa `Agfa´ con 250 aspirantes y consideramos 394 más de la institución `Juan Vucetich´”. “Una vez superados sus exámenes, pautaron sus funciones en el Operativo `Sol´ y en los primeros días de abril, estipulamos su llegada. Un arribo que significó superar 50% la cantidad de efectivos actuales: 1100 agentes aproximadamente para el año próximo”, detalló Andrés Watson. Barrionuevo remarcó al establecimiento ubicado en el barrio Santa Rosa “no solo por su envergadura sino por la idea global que tomó como primer síntoma a la prevención”. “Fue muy productivo, con una mirada que trascendió lo punitivo”, describió al encuentro donde abordaron “capacitaciones para la sociedad civil en lo relacionado al conocimiento de protocolos, su funcionamiento”. “Nuestra vocación hizo que estuviéramos a favor de las causas justas, proteger a nuestro pueblo como prioridad”, afirmó sobre el rol de un Estado “sensible en la detección de los problemas pero también inteligente en su resolución”. Del gabinete municipal, participó la subsecretaria de Gobierno, Sandra Jiménez, y sus pares en Seguridad -Roberto Mongelós- y de Defensa Civil, Coordinación y Logística -Franco Risso-. Antinarcóticos tendrá delegación en Florencio Varela

El mandatario comunal -Andrés Watson- protagonizó una reunión con funcionarios pertenecientes al Ministerio de Seguridad de la provincia de Buenos Aires donde formalizaron la iniciativa de reubicar en el partido una dependencia para la investigación de ilícitos vinculados a la comercialización de estupefacientes. En ese ámbito, evaluaron la implementación de nuevas acciones coordinadas entre ambos estamentos gubernamentales y proyectaron intervenciones tanto a corto como largo plazo relacionadas, por ejemplo, al retorno de una Dirección Distrital de Investigaciones (DDI) e incorporar nuevas herramientas a las fuerzas policiales. De este modo, la gestión encabezada por Andrés Watson inició la recuperación de instrumentos que funcionaron en el distrito al contar con una Jefatura Departamental, pero fueron desarticulados durante la administración bonaerense entre 2015 y 2019 sin asignación de recursos inclusive. Durante el encuentro, también analizaron alternativas para incrementar el patrullaje en los diferentes barrios varelenses, trazaron líneas de capacitación para agentes, examinaron los resultados obtenidos en operativos de interceptación vehicular y allanamientos efectuados en Florencio Varela. Los representantes de la cartera de Seguridad provincial fueron el subsecretario de Formación y Desarrollo Profesional, Javier Alonso; el subsecretario de Planificación e Inteligencia Criminal, Sebastián Ciatti; el superintendente de Investigaciones del Tráfico de Drogas Ilícitas, Gonzalo Rodríguez.
