night owls: me, wriothesley, neuvillette
early birds: zhongli, al haitham
zhongli doesn't need as much sleep as normal mortals but he knows if he stays up, i will too, so he'll try to pull me to bed on reasonable hours, especially if he knows i have to work tomorrow hahah but he goes easy on me on weekends, and he'll stay up with me!!
neuvillette also doesn't need as much sleep, but he burns the midnight oil mostly because of his work. i'm the one who'll have to pull him to sleep, unfortunately. it takes him a while to get used to a 'human routine', but the melusines are very glad that their dad is getting enough rest now!
al haitham is a creature of habit and he likes following a set routine throughout his day, so i think his body's circadian rhythm is just exceptionally good. sleeps at 11, wakes up at 6. works out in the morning, gets coffee and breakfast, and goes to wake me up so we can prep to go to work ᰔᩚ
wriothesley does his workouts in the evenings or nights, so sometimes the adrenaline rush persists, especially if he drank a strong tea after. he doesn't have any problem staying up with me (though if he's tired he'll fall asleep on me orz) most nights and would just be happy to drink tea and listen to music as i read or play games or do whatever, hehe.

if one day i suddenly sprout cat ears and cat tails i think they'll have varied reactions.
zhongli is absolutely very chill after he gets through the surprised stage. he's lived for 6000+ years; he's seen lots of things in his life and he probably even has a few ideas of what might have happened. he'll probably just chuckle in amusement and go, "oh my, those extra appendages suits you, my wife.... now, which adepti did you accidentally anger this time?" and if i'm embarrassed by my new form, he'd turn into his half dragon form before giving me a knowing look, like "see? nothing to be embarrassed about."
al haitham is stunned, more so because how the hell did i suddenly sprout a pair of fluffy ears and tail? how are they moving? can i move them according to my will? are they connected to my nerves? is this permanent?? shock slowly turns into exasperation, and onward we go to gandharva village to meet a certain amurta scholar. maybe he'll know what to do. or at least teach me how to supress my newfound instincts of pushing everything off the table.
wriothesley stares. and stares. and stares some more. in the end he bursts out laughing and croons, plonking me on top of his lap and scratching behind the new ears with a huuuge grin on his lips. he's highly amused. he might ask around for ways to turn me back if i bug him enough, but otherwise... he's always wanted a pet anyway, so this is like hitting two birds with one stone - he just has to pour twice the love for me now <3
how would baizhu react to cat!vi? (or like, any other animals you have a fondness for) 👀

well, i first started learning back in uni (computer science grad here! boring answer i know hahahah) and then i went on to code for a living so i thought why not make silly things using that skillset lol
