i think it’s so red dwarf that red dwarf doesn’t have a series nine. like, if any other programme was missing an entire season it’d be a bit odd, but something about red dwarf missing one makes so much sense.

You know in the first episode when Rimmer is about to take his exam and he’s pretending like he knows what he’s doing even though he doesn’t and he finishes with “good morning Lister for probably the last time”?

He’s just come out of his exam when Lister is about to go into stasis (he’s obviously just collapsed) so we know that from that morning was all the same day.

So…

So that really was the last time that living version of Rimmer said good morning to Lister.

IDK I just think about that sometimes.
