Second day of Pride, so I'd like to provide you with a gorgeous piece I had done by @idaidaart a few years ago of my girl Rhoslinn and @wall-legion's Khaya.

Before I do the Odetta lore drops I need to ramble about Therris first okay? Okay. I was listening to a bunch of music related to Hazbin Hotel (I know don't look at me) on my drives where I was alone and it got my gears turning. I've always said that Therris came off the tree wrong, and that he antagonizes Khaya and @ratasum's Rhoslinn since they awoke around the same time before he was approached by and joined the Nightmare Court. But now I'm thinking what if that was more. It wasn't just a rebellious streak, it was genuinely "oh he's fucked up". He thinks the Dream was where everyone was alive, that this world is populated by the dead because of Zhaitan being in the Dream and everyone has to be "reawoken" or purged of necrotic magic with fire. And that's where the cult shit starts formulating. Because of course! In a world beset by giant, unfathomable monsters who alter the landscapes and the minds and bodies of your neighbors, friends, and families... You'd want to seek out that security, wouldn't you? And if it means letting the charismatic but slightly unhinged sylvari elementalist burn away the clothes and property you're wearing on your person in your entrance ceremony to "prove" you're not dead, so you can be given the approved clothing, well it's a part of the experience. He left the Nightmare Court after all. Never sided with Scarlet. Never fell victim to Mordremoth. We must be able to trust him. After you are welcomed into his cult, they roam around Tyria trying to convert others into believing Therris's mad preachings. If people seem to be more resistant, there may be a member of the cult sent to try to do further "persuasion". Is it with their fists? Maybe. So yeah! Rhos and Khaya had a kind of rocky start, since Rhoslinn almost fell to nightmare, but now that that’s behind them, they’ve started traveling together again, and it’s working out well for both of them.

Our girls look so lovely and I’m immensely happy with this! Worth every cent!

Anyhoo, my sylvari mesmer Rhoslinn. Tempted almost completely into Nightmare, but though she never was completely corrupted, she feels far less comfortable amidst dreamers than she did when she first woke.

Still, she does find some simple pleasures in the world.

Hey guys! Know I was sparse today, but that’s because I attended another pride parade... but this time, a digital one! I took part in the first half of the annual Tyria Pride march in Guild Wars 2!

We were over 400 strong across six different map instances as we marched through the world. Last picture is my baby girl Rhoslinn, flying the lesbian colors loud and proud!

It was a whole lot of fun and I’m glad I could make it!

Deshauna Tahir, Rhoslinn, Laxzzi, and Naqai! I dearly love my girls. Deshauna and Rhoslinn both have SOs, as well. Deshauna is married to Eshara Ulfhvit and Rhoslinn is in a committed relationship with Khaya, both of whom are @wall-legion's.

What was the guild's reaction to Caithe taking the egg?

Hoo boy it wildly depends on the person. Oaklinna was extremely upset with her. She's so enthusiastic and personable and outgoing, and she was painfully aware of how everyone was viewing them in that moment. I honestly don't think Oaklinna has ever forgiven her, either- those two will never be on even ground again.

Rhoslinn understood. Panic, fear, a feeling like you need to do something can drive you to do foolish things, and she's consistently supported Caithe's side since that moment.

Vezz was trickier about it? He didn't feel like he was in any way in a position to judge her for her actions, considering he'd also done something phenomenally stupid when he was younger and joined up with the Inquest.

Qirri talked about it at length with Garrus and Taimi, though the agreement that the girls came to was that she must have had her reason. After all, everything was stressful, especially for the sylvari involved.

The other guildies weren't directly involved, but Liath did comment later that someone should've at least given her a swat upside the head for pulling that stunt.

5. Do you have any role models? Tell us a little bit about them.

"That's surprisingly difficult to answer. I... suppose, as cliche as this sounds, I would have to say Caithe. In the face of all the adversity we've encountered, it's been... hard to keep moving forward.

But she's pressed on. Even when everyone had lost faith in us, even when she herself made decisions others found questionable.

I haven't had as much time to sit down with her as I'd like. The Firstborn can often seem... out of reach to the rest of us. Not intentionally, of course, but I can understand some of the awe with younger saplings.

Still, her determination is very heartening."

7. How would you describe yourself in three words?

"I think... cautious. Remorseful. Optimistic."

11. What does your dream room/house look like? Would you mind showing some inspiration pictures?

"I suppose something a bit like this..."
