So Ember fell in love first right? She fell in love during the airball game? We can all agree? That was when she felt that "first spark" so to speak?

Version 3.0 Trailer
Warning: Cursing and Rant as I rewatch it again
3.0 TRAILER IS OUT AND HOLY SHIT! There is so damn much to unpack. But first of all the music as always is a jam. AND hyped as always for new characters. I'm eyeing Dori cuz one, claymore user, two, I think I like her moves, three, she looks so good! Great designs as always, and four, the companion looks cute, I want to properly see it. Though I am also waiting for a certain possibly new Anemo character. I would go for Collei and/or Tighnari since they're new element, Dendro, holders BUT I'm no good with bow characters ,with the exception of Yoimiya, cuz I cannot aim. With Yoimiya though, I don't need to aim so yeh.
The region looks so fucking lovely. I just really hope its not to difficult to explore lol. Though it already looks like it has so much cave walls and thick ass trees to climb. It'd be fun but still difficult.
Also, we get to have gadgets and maybe they can be equipped! I also spotted a flower crown on Traveler.
It looks like it could be a bit similar with Inazuma with their conflict. Though obviously with differebt reasons. The story is already intriguing me so much. Also, it's going to be a festival! Which confuses me if it would be limited or not cuz thats what festival events are but this likely has an exception, right? But Kusanali's birthday might get confusing lol. Anyway, I really love Archon Quests. I'm happy that the main story is progressing once again.
So excited! But now I need more space for this update.

Winterfell - Season 8, Episode 1 Review
My thoughts on every (I think every? let me know if I missed any) scene from the Season 8 premiere episode.
Arrival - there was nothing wrong with this scene at all. Everything about it was expected. The northerners being apprehensive is exactly what I anticipated. Give it up for Jon and Dany looking regal AF in this scene. Good lord. Arya watching this whole scene play out was really great as a call back to season 1. Love the proud mama look from Dany as her babies fly overhead and scare the living shit out of everyone below. And did you notice her hair is in the shape of a heart? Tyrion and Varys banter is always welcomed and encouraged.
Winterfell courtyard - frosty is the only word that really feels right here. Dany’s trying to make a good impression and doesn’t get pressed when nobody kneels. Jon bent the knee - they should be on their knees, but no worries. She’s gonna overlook that cuz it’s her boo-thang’s family. All in good time. Bran coming up with the - we have no time for this - and dropping the Viserion bomb was way too rushed. This is the first issue I have with this episode. Dany’s dragons are often referred to as her children, yet hearing that one of them has been enslaved is completely glossed over and cut to next scene. This should have been a much bigger deal. Not just for Dany, but for everyone. Jon should have needed to take her somewhere to console her...you know, somewhere private...
The Great Hall - how many times does JOn have to remind these people that they are going to die without Dany’s help? Do they not believe him? I realize there are only a few people that have actually seen the army of the dead, but come on. I don’t expect anyone to be swearing fealty to Dany at this point, but a modicum of appreciation would be nice. She abandoned her campaign for this war and lost a dragon. Why did nobody bring this up? Lyanna Mormont needs to sit down - she almost called Jon a bastard and I was about to come up out of my chair. Sansa whinging about food - like, you knew they were coming and you are just now concerned about this? Dany holding her composure through that took some serious control. Her little clap back was good - whatever they want - that’s right, because they’re goddam dragons. I did like that Jon and Dany seemed to inch closer and closer to each other throughout the scene and the little look while Tyrion was talking was cute. Tyrion was well-intentioned, but they still won’t listen.
Sansa and Tyrion - I was waiting for this reunion and it did not disappoint. I would have liked to see Tyrion quell some of Sansa’s concerns as it relates to Dany. I was a tad concerned about the side eye that Bran was giving Tyrion at the end. Bran knows some things, so I’m curious what goods he has on Tyrion.
Jon & Arya - LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I was prepared to be underwhelmed here, but her jumping into Jon’s arms was everything I needed. The talk about family and Sansa being the smartest person Arya knows - yeah, didn’t see Arya siding with Sansa over Jon, but I get it. How is that dynamic of supporting family going to play out when it’s public knowledge that Jon is not their brother, but a cousin? I was also a little miffed that nobody brought up Littlefinger and that Dany and Arya were not formally introduced.
Euron/Yara/Cersei/Theon/GC - This whole segment of the show was just okay for me. I didn’t care for the dialogue. I love Pilou as an actor, but some of his lines were just cringe - I’m gonna put a prince in your belly. Like, wtf? I kind of felt a little bad for Cersei (well, not really) that she had to sleep with him and Lena brought the power in the after math of that scene. She’s brilliant and it will be the travesty of the year if she doesn’t finally get her Emmy. Theon finally rescuing Yara and making the decision to go and fight for the Starks - let’s get that ball rolling...even though I really enjoy Yara, I don’t think we will see her until way later in the season. The GC - and no elephants - wtf? Well, whatever...I would have rather had Ghost - and that’s the second big thing wrong with this episode. There was plenty of time.
Bronn - why? Completely unnecessary to have all the tits and ass in this episode. I know it’s classic GOT, but we are all over that element, I think, and it could have easily been him in a brothel and Qyburn comes to see him without all that sexposition. I don’t like the crossbow thing especially with all the talk about Dany getting hit with an arrow or a well-placed bolt.
Davos/Tyrion/Varys - can we give it up for Davos finally speaking the truth - Dany is a just woman and Jon is an honorable man - yes, please. Get married, make babies, and save the realm. Why Varys and Tyrion weren’t all over that - I don’t know. Tyrion wasn’t completely opposed to it, but Varys seemed rather extra cynical just then.
Jon & Dany - a lot to break down in this scene. Dany knows Sansa hates her and is really concerned that if she can’t even get her to respect her than the north is not going to fall in line either - that’s my interpretation of the scene. Jon saying that Sansa didn’t like them when they were growing up either was cute. Now, why in the hell are my baby dragons not eating? They hate the north? Or maybe, just maybe, they can sense that their momma isnt quite welcome there and they are feeling that emotion. I am shook that Jon got to ride the dragon (well, another one ;)) before learning about his Targ history. I saw this scene as Dany really letting him know, babe, I love you and I am willing to let you babysit my kids if needed. That 1000 years comment is coming back around again for sure. That waterfall and smooching scene was not for me - I ship them and know they are in love - that scene was for anyone that didn’t really pay attention in season 7 or read any interviews from anyone ever to just solidify that they are truly in love. Okay - it was for me too - I’m on my 3,487th rewatch. My prediction for why the dragons are acting funny - they know momma is carrying that man’s baby and they are overprotective. @me
Jon & Sansa - Sansa, why? All these two do is argue and it’s starting to piss me off. She says she trusts Jon and has faith in him, but then doesn’t trust Jon and has no faith in his decisions. They needed Dany and her armies and dragons and he got her to come there. This is why he left in the first place. She does have a valid question though - did you bend the knee for the north or because you love her? It’s a legit question, JON!! Answer. It’s both. That is the big theme of this season - love versus duty - and Jon can do both and will need to balance them both.
Arya/Gendry/Hound - the Hound and Arya was hysterical and I love the banter between Arya and Gendry. It’s like they picked up right where they left off. Can’t wait to see where this goes.
Dany/Sam/Jorah - This is tough for me. I am a Dany stan through and through, but I did not agree with her decision to burn the Tarly’s. At least not both of them. I do find it hypocritical when people chastise her for something that men have done for ages and hold her to a different standard though. I didn’t care for what she did, but I understand it. Sam’s reaction was expected and I do feel very sorry for him. I wish Dany had exhibited a little bit of remorse. Even if she wasn’t sorry, knowing he is JOn’s best friend, should have made her say - I’m so sorry. Just something.
The Reveal - I hated everything about this. Sam didn’t tell Jon as a friend. He told him in a fit of rage to try and turn Jon against Dany. I’m not okay with this. Jon wasn’t having it either. Jon executed Janos Slynt for much less. And Sam is the same person who told Jon they needed Roose BOlton’s help after the Red Wedding and told Olly to forget about his family being slaughtered by the Wildings. It’s a bit different when it’s your own family, but double standards much? Jon wasn’t having it, so I’m good with that - he’s still gonna have some words with his queen later. The reveal pissed me off because I think Sam should have come at it from a place of tenderness and instead it was bitterness about Dany and this news is gonna fuck her up. He doesn’t know they are together and he doesn’t really know her. I was pissed AF with the line - you gave up your crown for your people - would she do the same? Okay - when is someone going to bring up the fact that Jon bent the knee AFTER she agreed to fight for the north? And, please - she abandoned her fight for King’s Landing to turn her armies north and help fight. So, yeah, she would. This was the scene I was most disappointed with. John and Kit did a great job, but the writing was atrocious. All I can see is that they are setting this episode up to carry all the angst forward until the Night King is knocking on their door and then - just as Jon said - it won’t matter.
Umber - what the actual fuck? But I’m glad to see Tormund, Beric, and Edd.
Jaime/Bran - he’s waiting for an old friend!! GAAAHHHH!! I can’t wait to see the shit storm that his presence is going to bring in episode 2. That preview got my dragon momma heated.
Overall, I’d give the episode a 7/10. It was definitely not the strongest episode in the series and I blame that on choppy transitions and weird almost campy dialogue. Episode two better bring a little more grounding to the show, because I was not overly impressed with those 54 minutes. There were some great things that happened - dragon date, arrival, reunions, and how much was my girl Dany smiling this episode?? I’ve never seen her smile this much in seven seasons. Guess a good dicking down and falling in love will do that to you. The dialogue and lack of timeline really killed it for me though. As well as the glossing over of what I thought were really important storylines.
Let me know if you want to discuss.

For the character ask, how about Yumoto and the twins, if you feel like doing all three~ If not, you can pick which one(s) you're up for talking about. ^^
SURE I’M UP FOR ALL OF IT!
Yumoto
NOTP: Aside from the obvious Gora (like... ew) I don’t know if I really have any. Like, most of the DC I can’t really see with him romantically but I’m not like repulsed by any of the ships. I suppose I really CAN’T see Io/Yumoto at all so maybe that counts... the others are a little easier.
BROTP: Does Gora count? Lol but seriously there should be more fics of Yumoto and Gora hanging out and doing brother things. Like I headcanon that Yumoto tells Gora EVERYTHING and Gora just kinda nods and listens while he chops wood and sometimes isn’t the best at remembering inane things Yumoto tells him but anything important? Like yeah he’s all over that shit.
As for the other characters, IbuYu seems to be a common brotp but idk Ibushi... has never stood out to me. I can definitely see Yumoto wanting to be his friend but I don’t know how much Ibushi would want to reciprocate. Out of the DC Ryuu strikes me as the one who would hang out with Yumoto the most outside of being in a group. Since they’re the closest in age and despite Ryuu wanting to act older than he is they probably play videogames together or something.
OTP: I feel like I’m so ~controversial~ when I say I really REALLY ship Yumoto and Haru and/or Aki. Mostly Haru but OT3 is good too because I don’t quite know where to put Aki otherwise. Haru just seems so needy for affection of any kind and once the twins get their heads out of their asses and realize Yumoto isn’t some jerk (and they apologize for their douchery), Haru would gravitate towards Yumoto because hey- CUDDLES GALORE. And as far as I’m concerned Yumoto would forgive the twins if they apologized to him and were sincere because he understands what it’s like to be lonely. So Haru and Yumoto would go from awkward friends who cuddle occasionally to friends to eventually boyfriends and maybe Yumoto would get the same type of relationship with Aki but a bit more lowkey.
Second Choice Pairing: If Aki doesn’t count because I kind of OTP HaruMoto and BeppuMoto OT3, it’d probably be Kinshiro. Like I didn’t really consider the two of them together until I saw it mentioned elsewhere and it kinda clicked that they might get along, but Kinshiro would definitely have to be the one to extend the olive branch because if Yumoto does it I could see Kinshiro kind of just ignoring him because he’s too... Yumoto. Kinshiro seems to like quiet and Yumoto is decidedly not but similarly to the twins, Kinshiro would probably appreciate the physical affection and sheer amount of attention that Yumoto would bring to the table. It’d reassure his insecurities and such.
Fluffy Pairing: ...I feel like all of these are gonna be the same answer lol. BeppuMoto is just a giant cuddle pile, after a bit of awkward pre-dating and dating. All three of them are just starved for attention and then once Yumoto figures out ‘hey twice the cuddles’ he is all over his boyfriends and the twins are like ‘well we share everything anyway’ and Yumoto has enough love to go around twice over. Just picture cutesy ramen dates when the twins decide to get the sticks out of their asses and try ‘lower class’ stuff. Or they find a new amusement park to go to the three of them. Asdlkfjsdk I need like 20 fics with them stat.
Angsty Pairing: Uh- to avoid saying twins again perhaps Kinshiro? Cuz the flip side of them finding some happiness and stability in each other is they egg each other’s ‘dark sides’ on on accident? Idk how that’d happen but it popped into my head.
Poly ship: ...twins, the end. Explained above.
Weirdest Pairing: Io/Yumoto as mentioned above because I just can’t see it at all? Like that’d be pretty weird. Also Akoya/Yumoto would be a little off-the-wall even though I could see it working a bit. It’d just take awhile to even start because they’re in completely different worlds, kind of like Kinshiro as well.
Long story short, any ship with Yumoto needs a lot of buildup because he doesn’t have any close relationships as is outside of the generic group dynamic of the DC. So any potential partner would need to spend quality time with Yumoto by himself and then they both realize the potential for affection and attraction and stuff- because let’s be serious like half of this cast is probably really fucking lonely underneath their exteriors (like, probs Ibushi, Akoya, twins def, Ryuu, Kinshiro...) and cuddle-monster-Yumoto is also lonely BUT I can see him being a really attentive partner once he matures a little bit. He already puts others before himself, so he’d anticipate his partners’ needs rather well.
Twins
I’ll include both Haru and Aki in each of these because despite wanting to view them as completely separate people they need a lot more development for me to see them as individuals rather than a unit. Working on it with fic but I need to finish my rewatch of the series to get back into it. (Life happened.)
NOTP: I actually really don’t ship either of the twins with Gora- he’s a big brother/idol figure and any relationship he’d have with them would be really, really unhealthy. At least while they’re still in high school (because y’know, age gap and their stunted maturity). Maybe when they become adults a slow burn with one of them and Gora might work- I lean more towards Aki with that but more on that later. Other people I just can’t see them with are Io and Ibushi- no particular reason I just don’t think their personalities gel well romantically.
BROTP: Yumoto could land in this category as well if you don’t take a romantic route with any of the three. But for the purpose of trying to have more variety in my answers, I can see Haru getting along with Ryuu rather well considering they have similar elements and are both salty AF when necessary. Aki would probably get along with sass masters Ibushi or Atsushi because of the thinly-veiled snark. They’d snark at everything. Collectively the twins would probably be friends with Kinshiro and/or Akoya, considering the upper crust tastes and all. They could laugh at all the peasants together.
OTP: HaruMoto, answered above. To pick something different if Aki isn’t part of an OT3, Aki and Gora as a slow burn friends to lovers in the future might be kind of cute. The reason being for this is that I picture Haru being the one with more idol-worship to Gora than Aki (but again I need to rewatch season 2 to confirm), so Aki would probably be on more even footing to have a friendship with Gora once the idolization wore off. Also Aki is definitely more of a caretaker, which he has in common with Gora. So if Haru is with Yumoto, Aki and Gora could bond over their siblings being needy together. I guess.
Second Choice Pairing: Haru and Ryuu and Aki and Akoya, if I had to pick. Why? The pinks complement each of the twins with snark, sass and attitude in different ways. And both pinks wouldn’t let the twins’ idol complexes get too big; they wouldn’t be afraid to knock their respective Beppu down a couple pegs.
Fluffy Pairing: I suppose answered above. And below at polyship.
Angsty Pairing: As much as I dislike twincest at this point (really reminds me of my ouran days... shudders), that would be the angst times twelve. On a similar note, the twins sharing Gora like they so desperately want to would be super angsty and unhealthy, despite Gora’s likely best efforts to keep them happy. I can’t see them sharing Gora well, even though I can see them sharing Yumoto. They’d both want to be Gora’s *ONLY* partner, and wind up resenting his brother, while a relationship with Yumoto would be built on more than idol worship, and Yumoto would probably do better with treating them as individuals. Gora would try, but the jealousy would get in the way.
Poly Ship: I’ll wax more poetic about BeppuMoto because I can, but focus on the individual relationships involved. Yumoto and Haru would have a little spicier dynamic, considering I view Haru needing more attention than Aki does. Haru is quick to anger, quick to react and quick to be hurt, which Yumoto would help soothe and even out his temperament while Haru would provide Yumoto with attention in return, as well. Yumoto’s soothing talks would also be part of their dynamic, helping Haru come down from whatever has worked him up, though he might resent being talked to like a monster every now and then lol. Aki on the other hand is the counterbalance to the energy Haru takes up, using his caretaking personality to well, take care of Yumoto when needed, but also getting his own affection needs met because Yumoto has enough cuddles for everyone twice over. Yumoto would also listen to Aki, which seems like something Haru would struggle with with both his brother and boyfriend, so... overall the three have this mutually beneficial thing going on. Eventually.
Weirdest pairing: Probably one of the twins and En, because that’s another one I can’t really see working out that I just thought of. A weird one that I could see working would probably be Atsushi with Haru- idk, mamAtsushi might even out the salty one.

ASK THE FANDOM--RESPONSES
Here’s the latest Ask the Fandom question:
I’m doing yet another rewatch of VM, and one instance that makes my heart hurt each time is the moment Veronica asks Logan to dance in Season 2, Episode 17 - Plan B. That scene is so well acted and so emotionally heavy, and yet I have a hard time understanding why it’s so intense? Can anyone please explain why Veronica suddenly wants to dance (besides saving Gia from verbal abuse)? And why is that scene so wonderfully painful to watch?
Tumblr media
And here’s what you had to say:
@mysilverylining--Because she really did want to be first in line to ask him to the Sadie Hawkins dance, but recited his prize-winning paper when she lost the element of surprise? Because she has a thing for politicians, and somebody’s rocking the  Honorary Deputy County Commissioner title? Because after finding the truck driver, she proved to Logan that stakeouts can be much, much sexier in real life?   Because protecting Gia gave her the perfect excuse to get that close to Logan again? Honestly, I don’t know what Veronica’s motivation was here, but it’s one of my favorite L/V scenes ever.  The way she keeps sneaking peeks from under her eyelashes, the way Logan’s hand tightens on her hips, the way the other couples disappear, and it’s just them under the spotlight as the scene ftbs.
@brittany4824--I honestly don’t think I can top what @mysilverylining just said because it was too perfect for words but I’ll try to add some more. Veronica seemed to see the almost-verbal-smackdown as a good chance to get her hands on Logan (literally and figuratively). For me, I think it seemed like an impulsive move on her end. Because as soon as she pulls him away, I almost get this “oh shit what did I just do,” feeling from her. So she’s like, “well screw it, I’ll dance this dance and sneak some pretty cute looks at the love of my life."   The episode was really building for the execution of this moment, and so I think the intensity partially comes from that huge build up of tension. There’s minimal release here in this scene– they’re just dancing and they don’t even speak much, and yet it’s such a big moment (at least for us fans). It’s the gaze they both share. It’s what’s unspoken. Maybe it’s because I read far into things but… it’s the unsaid I’m sorry, it’s the regret they both share, it’s the yearning for something they don’t think they can have. As an audience we know they’re idiots in love whether they want to admit it or not. So that intensity, that wonderful pain, stems from the building need to have our two favorites finally admitting their real feelings. It’s a very intimate and raw and real moment between them, and I feel like it’s rare when we got that from Veronica and Logan (at least Veronica.. maybe that’s harsh) and here we get that. It’s a window into what their true feelings are. And we, as an audience, know that. We feel that. And it’s wonderfully, painfully beautiful.
@fatherjerusalem--Also though, it’s cuz she wanted the D (and I don’t mean Duncan), but didn’t quite know how to admit that yet. I mean, sure, mostly the nice emotional stuff above, but don’t ever doubt the D.
@risssaar--The scene just screams YEARNING to me. It’s in everything from the intense way they stare at each other to the placement of their hands and the way they barely move to the music. Don’t even get me started on the music - the lyrics are so freaking perfect for them and where they are in this moment it’s like the Perishers sat down and crafted it just so Logan x Veronica could have the dance of ultimate UST at the Sadie Hawkins dance. The focus of this whole scene is just them moving slowly in tandem with their hands around each other and gazing at each other really really intensely while the Perishers croon things like “It feels as though we’ve made amends. Like we found a way eventually” in the background. I mean…COME ON, could it be MORE perfect? There’s some epic eye contact here and there’s no doubt at all that these two idiots want each other SO badly yet neither of them takes the first step, so the tension just BUILDS AND BUILDS and we, the audience can feel it. We can feel the tension and the want and the way they almost ache to close the distance between themselves - it leaps off the screen and creates one of my favourite Logan x Veronica scenes ever. I think one of the reasons I love it so much is because it’s one of the few scenes where Logan x Veronica are not a couple but still kind of vulnerable and letting their true feelings bleed through, albeit unwittingly/unwillingly. Usually their post breakup conversation is conducted under a layer of sass and snark and this is one of those times where its all stripped away. Once they start dancing it’s all about what their faces and bodies say, the walls usually erected by their words is gone and all that’s left is the WANT. And yeah @fatherjerusalem she wants the D. BADLY. I don’t refer to it in my head as the dance of Ultimate UST for nothing.
@alzaetia--When I watched this ep with my husband, he said, “This dance is exactly their whole relationship. (pause) She should probably just fuck him. She obviously wants to.” Just thought I’d add another opinion from the male mind. Personally, I also saw this dance as a physical representation of their entire season 2 relationship. I call it, “In case you missed season two: This.”
@catalina-infanta--All im going to say is, THANK the GODS we got a movie!!!! Thank Venus the Goddess of Love, Thank Neptune, God of the sea, and yes, thank MARS the GOD of WAR!
@hermione-mak-gilmore--I mean, how perfect is this? This is literally LoVe’s story, or specifically what Logan would say to Veronica if he could. I would elaborate on this, but I think it’s pretty self-explanatory (although, if anyone wants to go full in depth, please do)! As usual, perfect song choices on Rob Thomas’ part!
