daichi, suga, and asahi building a sand castle while watching over the children in the water

imagine if oikawa and ushijima were forced to be on the same volleyball team skdjjfkskd
like they both get invited to join japan’s national team but they don’t know the other was also invited. ushijima arrives to the first team meet up an hour early and just sits there waiting for everyone else. when oikawa walks through the doors and spots ushijima, the blood drains from his face.
there’s no fucking way.
ushijima gives oikawa a smile, but not a regular smile, oh no. he gives him the most soulless smile, a smile that oikawa thought he would only see when he entered through the gates of hell.
“hey, oikawa”
“don’t you fucking dare”
ushijima pulls out his phone and taps his screen. a compilation starts playing, oikawa can hear the voices of each shiratorizawa volleyball club player AND the coach saying those six words that never fail to give him nightmares:
you should have come to shiratorizawa.
