Voltron/Digimon AU

Shiro: Part of the original Digital World Exploration Party. Believed for a number of years to have died along with the rest of the party, save Sanda and Iverson. Returns when the Digital Rifts start opening up, becomes the head of the Digital Accidents Tactics Squad. Partnered with Leomon.

Keith: Originally the first field agent trainee for DATS, he washed out due to insubordination. He has an unusually strong digisoul, and wears a pair of goggles Shiro had given him before he disappeared. He stopped a rampaging Guilmon singlehandedly, and bonded with it after it calmed down. The two became partners, and he was accepted back into DATS. Guilmon is fiercely loyal, if less serious than Keith, and reminds Keith that he is never truly alone.

Lance: Honestly thought his “thing” was going to be soccer. Then, when V-mon’s digiegg realized, he was given the option to join DATS and save peoples’ lives. Lance jumped at the chance to be a hero and to explore another world. He can’t help resenting Keith when he comes back and becomes de facto leader of the field team. V-mon is endlessly encouraging, which can be both a blessing and a curse, sitrring on Lance’s best and worse impulses.

Hunk: Never wanted any of this. His passions lie in cooking, and going out to fight monster from another world is not his idea of a good time. Armadimon’s egg was a surprise, but by the time DATS had come for it, the two were already friends. Hunk tested positive for a digisoul, and he was told that DATS was taking Armadimon either way, but he had the option to join them. Hunk couldn’t leave his friend to face an unknown future alone and reluctantly joined up. Armadimon never let’s anything get to him, and he acts as Hunk’s rock, relaxing him and keeping him grounded.

Pidge: Her father and brother were part of the Digital World Exploration Party. She was basically drafted after they caught her hacking into DATS records for information on them. She works with DATS only because Shiro has promised to do everything in his power to help her find her family. Had no idea she had a digisoul until Palmon’s digiegg hatched at her touch. She has trouble seeing those around her as anything but a means to her ends. Palmon is everything Pidge is not, and helps complete her as a person, as well as helping her realize she’s a girl.

Allura: She looks human, but is she? As far as she knows, she’s always been in the Digital World. She has an almost supernatural connection to both digimon and the Digital World, and her attendants Cutemon and Regulumon treat her like a princess in their charge. Could she be the daughter of the DIgital World’s original human architect? Or perhaps she’s Ofanimon herself, sealed into this form for her own protection. Maybe both are true. Maybe the truth is something else entirely.
