More #TMJ (temporomandibular joint) Revisiting #teethpain and stumbling upon #tmjdisorder Check out the two major #cranialnerves of the face: #facialnerve (more yellow) and #trigeminalnerve (more red) Look at the intersecting pathways of nerves and then the “X” marks the spot for #triggerpoints I am obviously very interested in the poles and pulls and polarity, and in this case, simply see a #triggerpoint as a tensile pull creating a complaint spot somewhere else. This is called #referredpain #myofascialtriggerpoint #triggerpointtherapy #triggerpointrelease #triggerpointmassage #tmjd #tmjdisorders https://www.instagram.com/p/CqazDLDrXlP/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Gallbladder: the organ, referred pain, associated muscles, meridian and fascia
This organ is said to refer to the right side shoulder, but after that the consensus on referred pain seemed a little less clear. There are images and articles that show abdominal referral and posterior referral to a spot on the back. One doc I talked with used to refer to the abdomen as a “black box” in terms of its mysteries and pain.
On a parallel, there’s common agreement that popliteus is an associated muscle but after that there’s some discord.
Just sitting with this one for today… what movements benefit your gallbladder?

hi referredpain, i saw ur latest comic about getting a new job, and if that applies to you, i understand how you're feeling and how it could affect your current day-to-day life, but having a new opportunity available to you is a blessing, and if it can help you achieve what you want, whether that be wealth, comfort, happiness, or whatever, the opportunity should be taken, bc you may not get more opportunities like it in the future. but in any case, whoever u are, i hope you're having a good day
For sure! It was really more about worrying about new opportunities instead of savoring the joy that comes from that. It’s talking about a tendency to wrap one’s self in muted feelings and lowered expectations as a way of avoiding possible, future disappointment. And, indeed, I don’t think that’s any kind of way to live.
I am doing my best to prepare for that job interview and setting myself up to succeed. I thank you for this sweet and thoughtful message!

Should you screen the spine if a patient presents with 'knee pain'? “These findings suggest the importance of careful screening assessments of the lumbar spine and the importance of detecting (lumbar) Derangements throughout the follow-up sessions for patients with a primary complaint of knee pain.” #Knee #Pain #LumbarSpine #ScreenTheSpine #Derangement #RapidResponders #ReferredPain #PatternRecognition #ClinicalReasoning #McKenzieMDT #LearnMDT http://bit.ly/2dxp2au 🤔 — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2sxODEa

Tension Tuesday- Scalenes and the trouble they cause So often, people complain about pain around the medial border of the shoulder blade. So often, it feels so good to get a deep elbow in there, or shove a ball or Theracane in the spot, but it doesn’t last. So often, it is the scalenes muscles who have found themselves short and tight pulling on the brachial plexus bundle. Looking here, you can see the dorsal scapula #nerve that runs down under the rhomboids right into that complaint spot. Treat the cause, not the symptom. #scalenes #scalenemuscles #referredpain #referralpain #triggerpointtherapy #triggerpointmassage #triggerpointrelease #triggerpoints #triggerpoint #treatthecausenotthesymptom #treatthecause #adaptablepolarity #backpain #shoulderbladepain https://www.instagram.com/p/Co78fDevI8J/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Don't stop people-doodling, patient poodle. You are the Narnia of doing it right! Going all the way to Ladbrokes and betting your final bitcoin! Rinsing your battered boy fists in pools of dandelion water. You open the eyes of godhood with a coquettish tickle and a machete. YOU. ARE. GREAT AT BEING THE GREAT PERSON THAT IS BEING YOU IS CURRENTLY. I love you in a completely fine and above board way! Sincerely, Billcat von ReferredPain
