tbh it makes me kind of sad cause I really do feel this new continuity has potential and I like the world R*ckley created but the way he’s developing the story & the factions so far doesn’t really do it for me :( and it sucks cause we Finally! get to see a pre-war Cybertron and I’m afraid if there isn’t change/improvement and this continuity gets cancelled we will go back to having the same boring “in media res” war stories that we’ve seen a hundred times

In the wake of greenlighting Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio update, streaming giant Netflix is moving forward on a slew of animated projects, one of which is aimed at Latino audiences.

Netflix has announced that they’re moving forward on the limited series Maya and the Three, an animated project created by Book of Life director Jorge Gutierrez.

The Mexican animator, painter, and director has described Maya and the Three as a humorous “Mexican Lord of the Rings,” starring a female superhero who is half human and “half divine.” The director acknowledges that the fantasy genre is heavily male-driven and says, “this is my attempt to provide an awesome female hero.” Outside of that, the only facts known about it are that it will draw heavily from “Mesoamerican legends.” Gutierrez will direct four of the nine episodes in the series, as well as serve as screenwriter.

Just a year ago Gutierrez was discussing plans for a sequel to Book of Life, though there hasn’t been much public movement on that. Since the success of Coco which, like Book of Life, deals with Day of the Dead, it’s hoped that Book of Life’s sequel will be able to continue the trend of Latino-centric animated stories. As of right now, Maya and the Three sounds like a highly fascinating story that could take the epic in a new direction.

There’s no set release date for May and the Three.

Prostatın büyümesi, prostatın büyümesinden kaynaklı diğer organların zarar görüp görmemesine bağlı olarak tedavi şekilleri uygulanabilmektedir. Tedavi şekilleri de ikiye ayrılmaktadır bunlarda; cerrahi olmayan ve cerrahi tedavilerdir. Peki, Prostatın Tedavi Yolları nelerdir?

1 – Cerrahi Olmayan Tedaviler

İzlem

Hastalıklı bireyin prostat bezinde büyüme var ise; hastanın durumu doktorlar tarafından takibe alınır ve hasta belli zaman aralıklarında doktorlar eşliğinde muayene edilmektedir.

İlaç tedavisi

Hastalıklı birey doktorun önerdiklerine uyduğu halde bir gelişme olmadığı için halen prostat büyümeye devam ettiği durumlarda ilaç tedavisine başvurmaktadırlar. İlaç yoluyla prostatın 2 şekilde azaltılması öngörülmektedir. Bunlar; Prostat bezinin küçülmesi için 5 Alfa Reduktaz İnhibitörleri’dir, idrar torbası etrafındaki düz kasların gevşetilmesi için ise Alfa-Blokerler adı verilmektedir.

2 – Cerrahi Tedaviler

Transüretal Prostat Rezeksiyonu:

Hastalıklı bireyin idrar kanalından ‘ rezektoskop ‘ adı verilen özel bir alet ilen idrar yolundan girilip prostat bezinin dokuları elektrikli akım yardımı ilen kesilir. Prostat bezinin parçaları’da vakum yardımı ilen çekilerek alınır.

Transüretral Prostat İnsizyonu

Hastalıklı bireyin bir süre sonra idrar tıkanıklığı ciddi boyutlara geldiğinde bu alet ilen idrar kanalı genişletilmektedir.

Transüretral Prostat Buharlaştırma

Bu yöntemde hastalıklı bireyin idrar yolundan içeri girilip; fazla doku elektrik enerjisi yardımı ilen buharlaştırılır.

Lazer Ameliyatları

Günümüzde git gide lazer ameliyatları yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır. Prostat ameliyatlarında iki farklı lazer enerjisi kullanılır bunlar; holmium lazer ve reenlight lazerdir.

Holmium Lazerle Prostat Ameliyatları

Hastalıklı bireyin holmium lazer yardım ilen prostatın bir kısmı kesilir. Ve ayrıca prostat dokularının tedavisinde rahatlıkla kullanılabilir. İyileşme süreci de oldukça az bir süredir.

Greenlight; Fotoselektif Prostat Buharlaştırılması

Kanda bulunan hemoglobin greenligt lazer tarafından emilir, prostat dokusunu ve yakınındaki kan damarlarını da buharlaştırır. Üretradan sistoskop denilen özel bir alet ile girilerek ameliyat gerçekleşmektedir. Bu yöntemle yapılan ameliyatlarda kanama olmaz. Ve hasta olan bireyde aynı gün evine gönderilir.

Scout Book: Question Seven for Mary Head

The final question for Author Mary Head about her Kindle Scout book, No Safe Place.

Final Question + a bonus question!

A story like No Safe Place relies a lot on the strength of its characters. Who do you personally feel is the strongest character in the book and the one you are proudest of? If Hollywood gave this a reenlight who would you cast in starring roles (other than Liam Neeson!)?

I think Hannah is the strongest character, and is definitely the one I'm proudest of. I tried very hard to make her feel realistic. I didn't want her to just be a typical victim, I wanted her to be dynamic and layered. She's a damsel-in-distress, sure, but she's not weak and useless. She can fight and defend herself when the need arises, but she fights within her own limits, if that makes sense; she's not unrealistically strong, or wielding martial arts moves all over the place. She's strong, and she's smart, but she also cries and gets scared, because that's normal for the kind of situation she's in; there's a lot going on that's out of her control, and she fights back as much as she can given the constraints of her predicament. I'm very defensive and protective over Hannah; she's the character I've written that has the most 'me' inside of her.

As for casting, oh, boy, I've had this book cast since the moment of inception. Hannah is played by Dianna Agron; David is Gary Oldman (sorry, Liam Neeson, this isn't Taken); Eli is Zac Efron; Juliet is Rachel McAdams; Chris is Jensen Ackles; Eddie is Callum Keith Rennie; and Jackie is Lee Pace. Every character has an actor that plays them in my mind, even the minor ones, though I came up with this cast in 2011, so some of the actors may not necessarily "fit" anymore. But if Hollywood ever did come calling, I would be insistent on being involved in casting; these characters are too important to me to be played by the wrong people.

Hannah Cole, a young graduate student attending George Washington University, and her father David Cole, a senior FBI agent, enjoy a happy life together in Arlington, Virginia. Due to the nature of his job, and having been a single father for most of Hannah's life, David has always been fiercely protective of his daughter and has taken great strides to keep her safe. But when Hannah is kidnapped from their home one night, their world is turned upside down. With the force of the FBI behind him, including his best friend Juliet Grayson, trusted partner Chris Tyler, and rookie agent Eli Shaw, David rushes to find his daughter, while Hannah struggles to stay alive, both of them racing against a deadline that could mean the end of Hannah's life.
