I saw a lot of people shipping them and I'm very interested and loving this ship, so that means I had to draw a fankid X3
And I was inspired by a lot of Viva's concept art that I saw, a lot of them had huge hair, some had two colors, and I absolutely loved it, it gave me a lot of ideas for Harper's design :3
And it still took a lot of work to finish her, because I tested several different colors and I didn't know which one looked best, but I'm very happy with the final design X3

Sinbad stands alone in the quiet of the balcony alcove, away from the hubbub of the party. It’s a rare sight, thinks Proteus, as he creeps up behind him, pressing a cold cup to his cheek. “You’re not one to miss a party,”
With a grin mirroring his, Sinbad takes the cup, leaning forward on the white marble railing. “It’s nice up here,”
Proteus leans against the pillar, shooting an amused glance his way before his eyes land on the sunset beyond the horizon. “Are we getting sentimental now?”
Sinbad chuckles, a deep sound that resembles more of a purring tiger. “That’s usually you, Proteus. Today, I seek quiet. Tomorrow,” Sinbad briefly steals a glance to his left; Proteus is still lost in the melting colours of the sky, his gaze faraway, like he’s floating amidst the shifting colours and clouds. Sinbad looks away with an inward sigh, unable to say what they both already know.
The party is still raging on; discordant conversations and excited hollering ring out amidst the commotion, followed by a series of barks and screams, and the music effortlessly picks up once more.
Proteus lets out a breathy chuckle, taking another sip from his cup. “Marina too, isn’t she? She’s also leaving,”
“Yeah,” Sinbad says with a shake of his head. “She’s got her own ship now, and a dedicated crew… all in such short time.” he frowns, “I think she might be better at this than I am.”
This elicits a laugh from Proteus, and Sinbad relaxes, looking up as their gazes meet.
“Marina comes very close,” Proteus puts down his chalice and steps forward. He tugs Sinbad’s collar, straightening out the creases of his blazer. His hand brushes over his chest as if to dust away something, his motions deliberate. “But no one does it as best as you,”
Sinbad almost swoons as Proteus’s cologne washes over him, but he steadies himself, desperately focusing on the little mole by his lower lip.
“What else am I best at?” Sinbad says quietly, just for their ears. Proteus’s eyes light up with a knowing grin.
“Why don’t you show me?”
Sinbad groans, unable to take anymore of his teasing and he closes the distance between them to catch his lips in a deep, fervour-filled kiss. His hands wrap around his waist and another carts through his hair, let down in loose waves tonight. Proteus backs him up against the railing, hands gripping the marble on either side of them as he deepens the kiss. There’s something urgent about the way he’s pressing into him, snuffing out the slightest space between them, angling his head to grant Sinbad deeper access into his mouth.
They only separate when their lungs scream for air, and even then they don’t step apart; their foreheads press as they catch their breath, and Proteus’s hand comes to rest on his wrist. Their hands are the same size and calloused, but Sinbad’s is rougher, while Proteus’s fingers are slender, familiar to the sword and pen. It’s a great difference, and he wonders briefly how Marina’s hands look like now.
Sinbad turns his over to weave their fingers together. “I’ll write often,” he offers this assurance, to which even Proteus seems dissatisfied.
“I only need one thing from you, Sinbad,” he leans away to get a good look at him. “That you stay safe, and return to me in one piece.”
A beat of silence, the crashing of waves against stone beneath them, and the droning of a party behind. “Those are two things,” he points out.
Proteus breaks into a smile, eyes crinkling and he shakes his head.
Sinbad traces his finger over his heart in a cross motion. “If not, Eris can-”
Proteus clamps a hand over his mouth. “Come on, Sinbad.”
He relents with a gleeful grin.
“Shall we return to the party?” Proteus asks, picking up his chalice.
Sinbad glances toward the sea. The skies are a dim, dusty blue now, swallowing the last minutes of daylight as pinpricks of silver begin to dot the skies. The views out at sea cannot compare, but there’s nothing quite like a starry night over Syracuse.
“Not yet,” Sinbad finds his hand once more, resting them on the cool marble. “Lets stay a little longer.”

For our 1 year blog anniversary, we will be hosting a fic-finding marathon for the 10 days leading up to our anniversary on October 31st. ANIMATION
Arknights Prelude To Dawn (S1) and Perish in Frost (S2, currently airing): [Crunchyroll]
A straight up adapation of the main story, up through Chapter 0 to Chapter 6! It's much more fast-paced than the story, so I wouldn't use it to replace actually reading it, but it's very cool to see some of these scenes in full animation.

A mini-series animated in a chibi-style with a comedic tone focused on the adventures of the Kuroblood-illustrated Lee's Detective Agency! Distributed by Crunchyroll globally, but entirely free to watch.

Rhodes Island's Records of Originium: Rhine Lab: (Offical Website)
A canon manhua centered around the circumstances that lead to Silence falling out with Saria and joining Rhodes Island with Ifrit, as well as Ifrit's attempt to save a dying infected stowaway on the landship. Essential reading for understanding the Rhine Lab storyline and characters - read it right after Mansfield! One of the characters, Darya, is mentioned in both Ifrit's module and briefly in Lone Trail.
Rhodes Island's Records of Originium: Blacksteel: (Official Source)
A short story focusing on the lives of the Blacksteel operators aboard the landship. While it often gets overshadowed by the Rhine Lab manga which is bigger in scope, this is a great read especially if you're interested in Franka or Liskarm.
Rhodes Kitchen -TIDBITS-: (Official Source)
An anthology story related to the cuisine that's important to a variety of operators. While it might seem unassuming, the art is gorgeous and it's really well-written. I particularly recommend the Goldenglow (Chapter 4) and Rosa (Chapter 5) chapters.

Arknights Comic Anthology: (Mangadex)
As the title says, a series of non-canon anthology stories regarding the cast of Rhodes' Island! Note that the link provided only has complete translations up to Volume 4 (and Vol. 4 is missing Ch. 7), and most of the chapters avaliable after that point were MTL'd, so I can't vouch for their accuracy.
Chapters I'd recommend are:
Volume 1: Chapter 12 (focused on Myrrh trying to improve her medicine), Chapter 14 (focused on Saria and Silence trying to put apart their differences to take Ifrit on vacation, afaik the only place where they are directly referred to as her "moms")
Volume 2: Chapter 1 (Manticore tries to make friends), Chapter 3 (The LGD gets drunk), Chapter 11 (Texlapp and Mosexu yuribait), Ch. 13 (Magallan tries to find a pet), Chapter 16 (Ethan spies on the interior lives of Rhodes operators)
Volume 3: Chapter 6 (Snowsant, Ifrit, Nian and Shaw are forced to make friends), Chapter 7 (Gummy flashes back to Chernobog), Chapter 10 (FEater and Shaw yuribait), Chapter 13 (Blackout on the landship, as well as Ayerscarpe and Leonhardt yaoibait)
Volume 4: Chapter 4 (Thorns tries to make friends with Weedy [this one is my favourite]), Chapter 6 (Tomimi tail spankings), Chapter 9 (Elysium helps Frostleaf get along with Dur-Nar)

A series of non-canon gag 4komas! Many of the games' offical stickers are done in this series' art style.

A compilation of 4komas posted on the official ArknightsJP twitter account! Thank you to @sleepywoodscans for their work on translating these, please show them some love!!
[Edit: For clarities sake, the only stuff here that has used MTL is later chapters of the Comic Anthology! Sleepywoodscans’ work on Operators! is all done by hand (they’re a native Japanese speaker). Again, I really appreciate their work!]
Arknights: A1 Operations Preparation Detachment: (Mangadex)
Part of the Terra Historicus website and not yet officially translated, focusing on Fang, Kroos and Beagle, and a catastrophe striking the Columbian city of Tkaronto. Unfortunately, only translated up to Chapter 6, but one of the characters (Elba) has a brief cameo in Light Sparks in Darkness!
Edit: Chapter 7 has been translated by @pooce-art, and they're working on Chapter 8!
Angelina: Sketches of THIS Messenger's Journey: (Mangadex)
Also published as part of the Terra Historicus website and not yet officially translated, focuses on the adventures of Angelina travelling across Terra as a Messenger! Recent chapters relate to the upcoming Sami event & IS4, as well as the upcoming So Long, Adele.
Prelude Suite: Unrestrained Play: (Wiki)
Unfortunately, I can't find a full translation for this one - an epilogue to Hortus De Esscapismo focusing on Arturia's background. Of course, major spoilers for Hortus apply - if you can find a full translation yourself.
As well, an upcoming manhua focused on the Break the Ice cast was annouced during the 4.5 Anniversary stream. As far as I'm aware, chapters have not begun releasing yet!

Word of Honour drabble | fluff
a/n: suddenly had an urge to write for wenzhou so this my humble contribution<3

Zhou Zi Shu has made many attempts to read tonight, but his eyes constantly strayed to the doors of the manor, which have been shut since early morning. The house was silent- not unusual, but there was something deep in his gut that wouldn’t let him settle into his chair with a freshly brewed cup of tea, or drift off peacefully into his afternoon snooze; Wen Ke Xing was up to something, he could feel it in his bones.
It was late now, and the early winter wind was biting into his skin. He had to close the windows, light the burners, heaters and he has brewed another pot of tea- although he’d much rather have his snacks with wine- but he doesn't touch either. The moment he heard the doors creak open, those familiar footsteps padding across wood floors, he pursed his lips, warming up a light chastise until-
-his lover appeared before him, dirt streaks on his face and his hair lightly mussed, but it doesn’t mar the boyish grin on his face. Wen Ke Xing produced a his gift from behind his back; a beautifully carved piece of glass lightly infused with shades of pink, green and blue is laid out for Zhou Zi Shu.
"Do you like it?" His glittering eyes betrayed his efforts to contain his excitement.
Zhou Zi Shu does not say a word, attempting to stretch out the silence, emphasizing his discontent.
"What's wrong?" Wen Ke Xing leaned over, his eyes sparkling and lips worried between his teeth, but it does not erase his mischievous grin. "Are you upset?"
"Where have you been the whole day?" Zhou Zi Shu attempted a calm inquiry, but the dirt streaks on Ke Xing’s face were so distracting, it forced him to reach up and wipe them away. “What happened to you?” He asked, this time more curious than anything. He tried to thumb the mark on his cheek away, resorting to using his sleeve when it resisted.
The pout on Wen Ke Xing’s face was immediately swapped for a smile, as he lowered to the ground, moving closer to make it easier for Zi Shu to reach him. “It seems you were worried about me,” he nudged his arm. “Ah Xu, I didn’t know you cared about me this much,“
Zhou Zi Shu clicked his tongue in annoyance, and with a roll of his eyes, flicks his hand away. “I couldn’t sit still the whole day because of you. What were you up to?”
“I was just strolling through town,” Wen Ke Xing answered honestly, sitting obediently whilst Zi Shu grabbed a wet towel to clean his face. He presented the hairpin once again, “And then I saw this. Don’t you like it?” His lips pulled into a practiced pout, one he knew Zi Shu could not resist for long. “You should try it on! Here, I’ll help you.”
He kneels behind him- unfazed even when Zi Shu clicked his tongue again- sliding the glass pin into his top bun. Ke Xing turned them towards the mirror. “Oh no…” he shook his head, “You can’t go out like this. Our Ah Xu looks absolutely stunning! Others are sure to steal you away now.”
Zhou Zi Shu turned to grab his face with one hand, so his cheeks were squished like a squirrel’s, and Zi Shu had to bite his lip from smiling at that thought. “You really…” he sighed, lightly pinching his cheek. “Next time, don’t leave without saying anything. Let me know if you’re going into town,”
“You were that worried about me?” Wen Kexing teased.
“So I can remind you to buy wine, silly. We’ve got nothing to pair the snacks with, and that’s my greatest concern of all!”
