sin tm meme , rebelcaptain. n26 please? ;u;
hey, sorry for the wait! I'm not sure how much this counts because it's not so much a dirty fantasy as a kink, and it ended up being more soft than sinful but I hope you like it :)
Prompt: Accidentally letting slip a dirty fantasy
They haven’t seen each other in three standard weeks, and although that doesn’t seem like such a long time, it’s entirely far too long when it comes to Cassian. She wants to be near him all the time, wants to touch him and talk to him, keep him safe from the horrors of the galaxy, and it drives her nearly insane every time he’s out there without anyone to watch his back. When he comes back, it’s all she can do to keep from throwing herself at him in the hangar, in front of everyone, onlookers be damned. She manages, somehow, but all bets are off when they’re finally alone in the small room they share.
She pushes him against the door at first, kissing, then he flips her, fingers digging into her waist, and eventually, they end up on the bed. Cassian sits on the edge as Jyn leans over him, arms around his neck, unwilling to let go of him for a second.
“I missed you, Captain,” she sighs into his mouth, just an instinct, not really thinking about what she’s saying.
Cassian groans, low in his throat, and he sounds similarly distracted when he answers. “I love it when you call me that.”
Jyn pulls away at those words, too tantalizing to be ignored. A grin forms on her lips. “What? Captain?”
At her question, Cassian immediately flushes a soft shade of pink, which is… something. She can count on one hand the number of times she’s seen him blush.
But as he opens his mouth, stammering, it’s clear that he’s flustered. “I – well…”
It’s endearing, and a little amusing, but she takes pity on him when he can’t even meet her eyes.
“Cassian,” she says and pushes him on his back so she can straddle his lap. Then she takes hold of his wrists, catching his eyes. “Don’t be embarrassed. You don’t have to hide anything from me, ever.”
To make her point known, she holds his gaze, refusing to look away until he’s seen her sincerity. Cassian stares at her for a long second, searching her face, before he caves in, shoulders sagging.
“Alright, fine. I like it,” he says, and he still sounds embarrassed, but at least he’s admitting it. That’s good. She can work with this information. It’s information she’s very happy to know.
Jyn grins and leans down to kiss him.
“What else do you like, Captain?” she asks as she breaks away, voice low and husky. She adopts a teasing tone, wiggling her eyebrows. “Want me to be the disobedient rookie with a big mouth?”
“No,” he says seriously, and that stops her in her tracks. Looking at him, she sees that he isn’t upset, but something in his eyes tells her that he’s not at all attracted to the idea. If she thinks about it, it’s probably because they’ve both spent too much time pretending to be other people to enjoy any roleplay games, even in bed. “I just want you to be Jyn.”
She nods, a little touched by the sincerity of his voice, the way he gazes up at her. In awe, full of vulnerability and devotion. She’s overwhelmed with affection for him, almost brought to tears by the simplicity of his desire. It’s silly. But –
He only wants her. Nothing else, no conditions, no reservations. It’s an exhilarating knowledge.
She tries to hide her tears in an attempt not to kill the mood and runs her fingers through his hair.
“Jyn and her captain,” she whispers, and despite her best effort, some of her sentimentality slips through her voice. “I can do that.”

so hmm, basically only short sentences, mostly statements. only one line of dialogue which is weird for me because back when i started writingi was basically opening every single one of my fics with dialogue. #characterdevelopment.
my favorite one is probably “Seth Gecko isn’t a nice man, nor has he ever pretended to be one” but that mioght be because i’m super excited to write that fic. “Someone once said that bathrooms during parties are liminal spaces.” is a close second because i love that entire fic SO MUCH.

31 for rebelcaptain, pls? :) alternatively 43 but I would want that to be lighthearted and I feel like that's not what this list is about *lol*
31 - “I can’t keep kissing strangers and pretending that they’re you.” and 43 - “Are you drunk?”
The prompts may be angsty but my mood is not! Some lighthearted silliness just for you.
Extraction
"Cassian," Bodhi hissed in his ear. "You need to leave."
"Yeah," Jyn added, "what's the hold-up? We're going to miss the rendezvous."
He felt the knot between his shoulder blades loosen slightly at her voice. She was back safe, at least. But he couldn’t relax quite all the way because - "Look," he murmured into the comm. "I can't. Every time I try to slip away, they reel me back in." Behind him, glass shattered and raucous laughter broke out.
Through her black-market contacts, Jyn had caught wind of a heist on an Imperial supply warehouse, and it had turned out to be the perfect cover for her lifting some security codes that the Pathfinders badly needed.
Cassian had talked his way into the crew performing the heist to make sure that it succeeded and didn’t bring the Imperials down on them at an inconvenient time. He’d also ensured that none of them noticed there was another heist going on, so that whenever they were caught (and they would be caught eventually, no subtlety whatsoever), they wouldn't have any beans to spill on Jyn.
The whole business was almost wrapped up, but he'd reckoned without the crew's exuberant celebration, and their surprising insistence on sharing that celebration with their new pal, Jeron.
"Do you think they suspect?" Bodhi asked.
"I don't know. But you need to make the rendezvous with the security codes. If you have to, leave without me."
Jyn made a rude noise. "Kriff that. I'm on my way."
"Wait, what - " He clamped his lips shut before her name escaped. “Stay where you are.”
“Too late,” Bodhi said. “Already gone.”
"What is she doing?" he asked with a certain sense of foreboding.
"Who knows," the pilot said, sounding much more cheerful than he had a moment ago.
"Get her to come back."
"Oh please, as if I could. Or wanted to. You have to stop defaulting to 'leave me behind, it's for the good of the Rebellion' every time you run into trouble. We're here for you, you know."
A hand clamped on his shoulder. "Jeron," a voice bellowed. "What are you doing huddling in the corner with your comm all night? It's a party! We got the goods! Time to celebrate!"
"It, I, uh," he said to the head of the crew, and the man who'd insisted he join them for the celebration of their ill-gotten gains. "It's just my - bedtime."
Bodhi snorted in his ear so loudly he almost lost his train of thought.
"Bedtime," Ignack said skeptically, and took a drink.
"My . . . children's bedtime. Yes."
"You have children? I didn't know that." He frowned. It hadn’t taken Cassian long to realize that Ignack liked to think of his crew as young, sexy, devil-may-care outlaws thumbing their noses at any and all authority or responsibility. Like a bad action holo where everyone met, performed crime, and bonded into family in a matter of days.
"I'm not likely to talk about them to this crowd, am I?" Cassian said. "They don't like to go to sleep before I come home."
"Well, that's what a nurse droid is for. Tell the little brats to pipe down and get to bed or they'll get what's coming to them." He leaned over to the comm. "Hear that, brats? Papa's going to wallop - "
Cassian flicked the comm off. "Please don't terrify my children," he said calmly. "Is there any spotchka left?"
Ignack lost interest in Cassian's fictitious offspring and dragged him back to the bar. "Spotchka!" he shouted. "For our new friend!"
Cassian was trying to choke down some of the noxious local brew when a voice called out, "Jeron!"
He froze. No.
Well, of course.
"Jeron, I know that's you, you son of a bitch!"
He turned to find Jyn shouldering her way through the crowd, staggering every few steps. Her eye makeup was thick and smeared, her clothes rumpled. She looked like a hot mess, and he drank in the sight of her.
"Jeron," she said, grabbing his arm. "I'm so - hic - so sorry."
He had no idea where she was going with this, but hopefully out the door was included.
She leaned into him, slouching like a boiled noodle, somehow putting one hundred and fifty percent of her weight on his arm. "So sorry," she blubbered again.
"Are you drunk?"
She sniffed loudly. "Jus' little bit. You don't know how hard it is, being away from you. Since you kicked me out." She shoved him. "You son of a bitch."
"It was your own choice," he said, aware of the eyes they were drawing, the glances being exchanged between the other members of the crew. Apparently Jeron was having some drama in his personal life, those glances said.
But clearly, none of them felt called to intervene, just to watch with varying levels of amusement and discomfort.
Jyn grabbed him again, tipping her face up to his. "You have to let me come back. Please. I'm - I'm dying without you."
"Liana, please, not here  . . ."
"Youuuuuuuu - you think I'm 'zaggerating," she cried. "I can't do it, Jeron. I miss you so much. I can't keep kissing strangers pretending they're you." She buried her face in his shirt, sobbing.
"You didn't have a problem with it before you left," he said.
Her head popped up like a jack-in-the-box, eyes narrowed. "Before you kicked me out! Bastard. Well, I regret it. Is that what you want to hear? I do, I regret it. Now can I come back ho-ho-hoooooooommmme . . ." She burst into loud howls that had everybody around them cringing into their drinks.
He stared stony-faced down at her. "You haven't even asked about the babies."
It caught her flat footed, her mouth gaping for a split second. But she recovered brilliantly, wailing, "The babies. Do they miss their mummy?" She snorfled. "Their mummy misses them, so so much - "
He looked over her head to Ignack. "I'm sorry," he said. "She's just - we broke up." He looked down at the messy bun in her hair and patted her shaking shoulders with a grimace. "I should get her somewhere to dry out."
"Yeah," Ignack said, looking uncomfortable at the domestic holonovel playing out in front of him. "Good idea."
"I'll try to come back, but I've seen her like this before. It could take quite some time to get her settled. I'm sorry to miss the party."
"Won't be the same without you," Ignack lied, clearly desperately to get the bawling, drunken woman out of his celebration.
"You have my contact info, right?" He patted his pockets as if looking for his comm, or a bit of flimsi he could scribble his information down upon. "Any more jobs I can help with - I've got four children to support, you know - "
Jyn snorted into his shirt.
Ignack just looked dismayed. A man with brats at home and a hot mess of an ex wasn't exactly how he pictured his crew. "Yes, yes, just um - " He frowned as Jyn grabbed a bottle off the bar. "I'm not paying for that."
Cassian pried it out of her fingers. "You don't need that. Let's go."
"Go? Where are we going? Are we going home? I'm not going anywhere with you, you bastard - "
They staggered through the crowd and out onto the street. Jyn, no rookie, kept up a stream of pleas, threats, and drunken ramblings until they'd turned two corners. Then she elbowed him hard enough to steal his breath. "Babies?"
He staggered a step or two away, laughing in spite of himself. "Our sweet babies," he said, righting himself and putting his arm around her shoulders. "Whom you abandoned, you degenerate, leaving me no choice but to turn to a life of crime so as to put food on the table."
"Ugh, kriff you." She leaned into him, giggling.
"Shame on you, Liana," he said merrily. "Such language for a mother."
She elbowed him again. "Come on, Jeron. Let's go home."

Comfort
For Rebelcaptain week, Day 2
read it on ao3
Words: 919
Rated: G
There was nothing about Hoth that spelled comfort.
It was cold, bitterly cold, the wind whipped your face, the air dried your skin, and being inside all day, seeing the same faces all the time, tended to drive you mad.
Cassian hated having to bring Jyn here. He had half expected her to bolt when they were told where the next rebel base was going to be. But she had only shrugged her shoulders, started packing her stuff. Cassian had mentally reminded himself to trade some extra credits and get her a parka.
Jyn threw herself into the Rebel Alliance with a fierceness that caught Cassian off guard. He hadn’t expected her to join at all, had prepared himself for that day when she would go off on her own, her freedom hard won. But that day hadn’t come, and as time passed Cassian allowed himself some hope, that maybe she would stay for good.
---
Cassian looked around the room in dismay. It had been carved roughly out of the ice, durasteel beams propped to keep the ceiling from collapsing. Cassian had to curve his spine in a most unnatural way just to stand in that space. Jyn, however, was oblivious. She unpacked her things methodically, finding places for the little belongings she had.
“This won’t do, Jyn.” he said after a moment, craning his neck so he wouldn’t bump his head on the ceiling.
“What won’t do?” she asked, pausing as she tried to decide where to store her blaster.
“This.” Cassian gestured to the space around him, frowning as his eyes took it all in.
“Cassian, this is what all the soldiers get.” she tilted her head at him, “I’m just glad I have a roof over my head and I’m not out in that kriffing cold.”
“Hmph.” was all Cassian replied.
---
The next day, Jyn tried to enter her quarters and found her code wouldn’t open the door. Confused, she was walking back to command to find out if there was another power glitch when she ran into Cassian.
“Was there another power glitch?” she asked him, “The code to my room wouldn’t work.”
“Oh, that’s because it’s not your room anymore.”
Jyn’s eyes narrowed. “Why not?”
“The ceiling collapsed,” Cassian could credit all of his spy training for the fact that he could lie so easily, “So it was deemed unsafe. You can bunk with me until they can fix it, or find you something else.” He averted his eyes from her intense gaze.
“Uh huh.” she mused, as she watched him walk away.
---
“Don’t you have a warmer coat?” They were on speeder duty, tracking anyone coming in or out, and even though they weren’t exactly out in the element, the cold was still biting.
“I’m fine, Cassian. I have all my layers on.” Jyn patted her arms, to emphasize the bulk of the clothing she was wearing.
Cassian only sighed.
Later that day, he handily beat a rookie pilot in a game of dejarik, took his hard won credits and exchanged them for a parka for Jyn.
---
Cassian was awoken by a shivering body beside him, and turned to see the blankets had slipped off of Jyn. Hesitation only warred in his mind for a moment, before he pulled her to him, warming her with his body. She stiffened, before the warmth overtook her and she finally relaxed in his hold.
“Comfortable?” he whispered, careful not to disturb the tranquility in the room.
“Yes.” she sighed, and he held her close, willing his racing heartbeat to slow to a steadier pace.
---
He had been looking over flight logs with Bodhi when she came storming onto the ramp of the ship.
“Cassian! What the hell?!” she smacked him hard on the shoulder with the back of her hand.
“I’ll leave you to it.” Bodhi escaped into the hangar, leaving Cassian standing there, jaw unhinged, Jyn facing him down.
“What are you talking about?” he shot back, clearly unsettled by her unprovoked attack.
“Draven said you took me off the mission!” her eyes were burning, heat rising in her cheeks.
“It’s for the best, Jyn.” he tried to move away from her, but she blocked his way.
“‘The best’? And you get to decide that why?”
“Because I’m your commanding officer!”
“It’s never bothered you before!”
“Well it’s bothering me now! Besides, Bodhi says it will be a rough mission. You’ll be better off here.”
Jyn paused, rubbed her temples. “Cassian,” she sighed, and the softness in her voice took him by surprise, “I appreciate everything you’re trying to do for me.”
“Um.. I’m sorry?”
“Come on, Cassian, you think I wouldn’t notice?” she looked at him through her lashes, “The extra caf rations? My room conveniently being rendered unlivable? The parka?”
Cassian’s brow furrowed in mock confusion. Jyn laughed.
“Next time don’t make Bodhi lie for you. He’s not that good at dejarik.” she put a hand on his shoulder, and he tried to ignore the hammering in his chest. “Thank you,” she said sincerely, her green eyes piercing, “But I’m really doing okay here.”
Cassian let out the breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding, the tenterhooks he’d been on since she’d joined the Alliance finally gone.
“I promised you a home.” he said softly, his hand coming up of its own accord to cup her face, but he stopped, hesitant.
“I know.” she smiled, closed her eyes and brought his hand to her face, the warmth of his touch a welcome comfort.

This show really needs to work on its pacing cuz the whiplash of going from chenford breakup to bailan baby making is insane

I have never actually cried at a TV show breakup but I am sobbing. The way my heart dropped when he actually walked away?!
UGH I hate the "you deserve better, so I'm leaving you" trope. I've never actually seen it on TV but I've read it in countless books and it's the WORST

The parallels in this episode to Jackson's death hit so hard 😭
- Angela having a baby as her friend dies (circle of liiiife). Esp with this ep the last one where Aaron suggests his name for the baby feels like foreshadowing. After all, Jack's namesake was Jackson because of his death...
- Grey: "I can't lose another one" 😭😭😭
- the Chenford hug parallel! Lucy not needed to ask for a hug anymore for Tim to give her one. Tim being able to comfort her as much as he wants, not pulling away in 0.5seconds, the head kiss 🥹
- Angela introducing her baby to her found family (we didn't get a name tho 👀 could it be Aaron? I sure hope not cuz that means bad things for our friend but still FORESHADOWING????)
- Leia being taken parallel with Angela/her (unborn) baby being taken???
- not a parallel to Jackson but to DOD with Nolan bringing Celina her fave food
Anyway wild + scary ep filled with tons of parallels/callbacks and so many feels. Can't wait for s6 ughhhh

It's kinda funny that Tim was so worried about Lucy not telling him the truth while she does UC work cuz of his trauma with Isabel and now he's the one doing secret side quests and not telling Lucy the truth
