Well, I could not resist and ended up watching season 1, episode 1 of Voltron.

The verdict:

I forgot how enjoyable the animation style is, frankly. A real ATLA-esque feel. The initial story’s fairly contrived, especially with the seismograph part, and ohh boy Keith and Lance really *do* have that energy. Repressed!13-Year-Old-Me blocked them out of my mind but Jesus it’s the first episode and I already understand how the ship wars escalated with such vitriol. Not even gonna get into Sheith right now…
