It’s October, so time to read some spooky stuff. I remember seeing the Disney Legend of Sleepy Hollow animated film as a kid on Wonderful World of Disney and being absolutely terrified. And I loved @serena_valentino_author’s comic, Gloom Cookie, from back in the day. So I guess I was predisposed to like this book. What really impressed me is how it so completely doesn’t take the obvious path of “the Headless Horseman is back! How’re we gonna stop him!” Instead, it turns the classic tale around a bit, showcasing some unfortunately more contemporary evils.
