Nice catch!

Beacon Beach is a well known place for fishermen. You can catch a large variety of fish and, if you have the right bait (and the strenght), even some special ones like this rare Augie!

The only rule is: you can't bring the Augie catch home. He's supposed to be the Beach's Warden, so he's pretty important to the ecosystem. No, you can't have the hermit crab either as it acconts for a lot of Augie's brain power.

Beep-O: Coral was born in the deep ocean where she was found inside a large beautiful scallop, laying on top of a pearl. It seems she’s very close with that thing since Augie has stated when she was very small she would always sleep with it, and needed to be around her at all time. If not, we’ll let say they’ll be major floods in beacon beach…

Had to redraw it cause I didn’t like the first time making it, worth it tho cause I actually added details I wanted to add and consider taking off some things that might not fit well on her [at least on the drawing]

Let me just say that if you’re refusing to play the Mario + Rabbids games because you have a hatred for the Rabbids, you’re sorely missing out. Sparks of Hope has been doing an incredible job at filling the Old Style Paper Mario-shaped hole in my heart and I’m not ashamed to admit that it’s one of my favorite games of 2022.

Anyways, had to draw T. S. Woodrow, the Warden of Palette Prime, because I’m nothing if not predictable. Something about a melodramatic artist who keeps doing what he loves even though his own art invites disaster is pretty relatable. Gloomy, knows that he’s a curse, but he’s still creating his art regardless.

The best thing about this drawing was learning via tumblr post midway through making this that his backstory is even more comical than I previously thought and that sure, he used to wear stilts to make himself taller, but then he got stretched out like a Willy Wonka punishment thanks to an extra powerful bout of bad luck. And this is why everyone needs to play this game.

The Planet Wardens and their LEAST Favorite Planets

I like to think that, in addition to the planet they take care of, the Wardens all have a planet among the five that they HATE going to, and they’re all different.

Behold, their supereffective weaknesses.

Augie: Despite his looks and general sun’s out guns out attitude, he can handle Pristine Peaks' frigid water just fine. He is a Water God after all. He also loves the water volcano on Terra Flora and the fun Palette Prime river. But Barrendale Mesa has just a single pathetic little oasis that he can do nothing but sit in like a kid in a puddle and look real sad about it.

Captain Orion: Pollen allergy. Terra Flora destroys him and leaves him sickly for several days afterwards.

TS Woodrow: Absolutely refuses to change into a different outfit (he won’t admit it, but he finds that outfit comfortable and yes he’s a little goth), hates sand, hates the ocean (might even be a little afraid of it), and hates the heat. You take him to Beacon Beach and he'll just sit under an umbrella and look very morose. Like that one Bugs Bunny image.

Bea: Pristine Peaks will send her into torpor due to her being half-bee and she'll basically pass out and fall into a hibernation unless you bundle her like that one kid in A Christmas Story. She hates this by the way.

Momma: She doesn't dislike this place as much as the other four Wardens hate their least favorite planet, but Momma thinks the Rabbids in Palette Prime are a gossip-y, disagreeable lot and honestly thinks Woodrow could do a better job at rounding those cretins up and "scaring them straight" rather than his laissez-faire cozy autumn and pumpkin spice approach. (and yes, she’s more critical about this place than Beacon Beach, which she looks at and goes “yeah that’s Augie’s problem” and not pressing the matter)
